We had afternoon tea while visiting Cambridge. The ambiance and view in the outdoor patio was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches, tea, and cakes made our day. The service was beautiful. Chance and Louis answered all of our questions, accommodated our dietary needs, gave us recommendations, and even offered to take pictures for us. They were so friendly and wonderful to speak to. So far during our trip, this has been the best dining experience.

Lewis and Chance were very welcoming. The choice on the all day breakfast menu was just what we were looking for. The food was spot on and made with great local ingredients. It was delivered with a smile and friendly courtesy. It tasted delicious. The tea and coffee that came with the breakfast were also good quality. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cambridge. Well done Lewis and Chance.

U could easily miss this place whilst engrossed with the sights and crowds milling about. I just so much remembered its location as I am I fan of tea and scones with the works which came in handy as we decided it we deserved a cuppa with all the walking and needing somewhere to answer the call of nature. This is also a very entertaining spot to people watch it sits across one of Cambridge popular college. It is a small dining area but I did notice a larger area for outdoor dining before u enter the cafe. Still , it has a great view.

I was lucky to have orderd earlier than some in our table of seven. Even though the place was barely at half capacity, the staff seemed to struggle to get orders out in a timely manner. To be fair, we had been advised when paying that there may be a 10 to 15 minutes wait for food; but it took longer and the food arrived staggered so that you'd have finished your drink whilst waiting for the food. Nice location. Food was nice.

Needed a bite but not a big lunch, and we happened upon this place advertising a cream tea with homemade scones, which was perfect. The scones were fresh, the clotted cream was from a foil-covered packet but was good enough. The tea was English Breakfast which is what we drink at home so we basically had an almost perfect cream tea, very nice on a dreary morning. The weather even cleared while we were there. The food that was being delivered to other tables looked good. We'd be happy to return for a full afternoon tea sometime when we are more hungry.

Awful experience, met by a very harassed looking waitress who was just rude from the get go. Food left around on tables had wasps all over it. Eventually it was picked up by someone who put some of it on some random steps near to where we were sat! After 15 minutes, a complaint from 1 or w people and several people moving away from the table of wasps I went and asked for a refund, only for the waitress to be completely rude about it. Terrible, I wouldn't recommend at all.

A cute little spot tucked between shops with a lovely staff of students(?). We ordered the chicken salad sandwich hoping for maybe a nice blend of curry and spices mixed with chicken. Upon inspection when our food arrived we discovered chicken… on a bed of lettuce or “salad” … on bread. We definitely had a good laugh at our mistake which was of course ours for not asking when ordering. The combination itself would not be terrible except the chicken was dry and flavorless, there was no spread on the bread or sauce on the lettuce. As much as we tried to “doctor” the sandwich with packages of condiments it really wasn’t very good. I’m sure there are other things on the menu that are delicious so please do give them a try!

It was our first time in cambridge and what a place to start! We sat by the window which had the most amazing view of St John’s College. Everything was very well priced and the young man that served us was delightful, polite and was so happy to help us. To make the experience even more amazing, the manager (I think her name was Jackie?) even took time out of her to day to come and sit with us and recommend what else we should do on our trip to cambridge. It’s been about 5 yrs since we were at this pub, having moved. Not a patch on how we remember it. Please review your description of prawn cocktail, poor excuse. We had people flocking around us in the bar while we were trying to eat, and some nasty, out of place machine, established in place of what was a nice long bench with tables. Long lost the country charm in the garden, it appears that the whole place has been jammed full of tables and chairs. No thanks!
