The food was really excellent and appropriate to the chef. Chilli paneer and Veg tikka was amazing. Will be back soon.

Great food once again. Ate in the bar area which was a bit interesting with some the conversations going on. A few starters a lamb fry and a mixed grill that were all excellent. Will be back!

Hair found in food, I was told no lady staff in the kitchen was invited to see the kitchen. Well I'm bald so reported to hygiene standards!

Absolutely beautiful food. Fresh nan bread and proper curry and Sizzler dishes. Food was Fairly priced and drinks are a great price too. It was nice to have a good selection of Non Alcoholic beer for a change. Very tasty dishes and a comfortable restaurant atmosphere.

Brilliant food. I definitely recommend this place for best authentic indian food. The only issue is the cut off time for ordering food is 09:30pm and one feels rushed to order everything before the deadline.

I ordered curry along with lollipop chicken, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst food experiences of my life. Shortly after consuming the meal, I experienced severe food poisoning symptoms, including continuous vomiting and diarrhea throughout the night. I have been unable to eat anything since and felt extremely unwell—at one point, I genuinely feared for my health. Please conduct an immediate review of the food handling and hygiene practices. The condition I suffered indicates serious potential contamination.

Discriminations against single people not being able to book a table for one person. Neither does the website allow a booking for one person .The reply is a lie . The guy on the phone laughed and told me to walk in there was no mention of fully booked . I will be taking my business elsewhere. Shame as I was trying the place out for a large party of people . .

Not a great experience today for us today unfortunately, we had booked a table for 5pm and we were late by 10 minutes due to traffic, however we did call to beforehand to say we'll be late and that we'll be there in 10 minutes, we'd arrived at the restaurant and before we had evan sat down we were told by the staff three times that we need to leave by 7pm, for me this killed my mood to a point where I felt like I wanted to leave but we stayed regardless ordered our food and had left by 6.30pm, as a regular customer the whole experience was very of putting and I won't be going there again.

Came for lunch and will definitely be back. Incredible flavours and mouthwatering food and plenty of options for everyone. Highly recommend this place 🔥

The meals are delicious! A good selection of curry dishes for every taste. The restaurant and pub service is second to none and the staff are so welcoming and professional. Such a lovely atmosphere but I have been only during the daytime.

First time ordering from the Broadway had a takeaway delivered a full tandoori chicken mushroom rice and chips £20 very tasty quick delivery and fantastic price thank you

This is a regular for me, and I am never disappointed. Food is consistently good, service is great, and atmosphere is brilliant. The chicken lollipops, fish fry, chicken tawa and mix grill sizzler are all my favourites but all the dishes I have experienced are really tasty. A place you must try!

I had prawn korma, it was delicious. Trouble is they give me too much. I am a small eater, it’s a good job who I go with can help me out. They will give you a container so you can take the rest away with you. This time we were treated by friends, but we will be going back again.

Came here last night with a group of us, enjoyed a lovely meal. I had the Dhaba Chicken my wife had the Chilli Garlic Chicken. Value for money defiantly - worked out about £20 per head when factoring drinks, Naan Bread, Rice etc. Amazing friendly staff. One thing about Leicester we have the best places for Curry in the UK and this is one of them, will absolutely return, next time will have a sizzler.

Food was excellent & plentiful. Staff were helpful & accommodating. It was quite noisy, probably because of the many numbers of customers seated & eating, but voices had to be raised just to be able to converse with each other on our table of 4.

Four white English adults and two kids aged 4 & 2. All very well served with various dishes and levels of heat. No tummy issues afterwards at all. The service was superb and the food quality was excellent. We everything from Garlic Butter Prawns through to some spicy plates. It was my first trip, but the rest of the family have been before. This will now be my Indian restaurant of choice in Leicester.

Heard alot about this place, took few months to get a booking. Service and atmosphere great, sizzler was good, curries all tasted same!. We got the chicken dhaba, chicken and lamb tava and lamb jalfrazi. Prawn biryani was decent.

The food here is great but they’re a nightmare when picking up. We placed an order at 6:45 to be told it was ready for half 7, it then got pushed back to 8:10 which was fine, we got the notification the food was ready, wen to collect to be told there’s no order under that name, I questioned this she went back and told me to wait whilst they cooked i said no cancel the order. The manager then came out and said we tell all our customers to come 10 mins early, we make all the food fresh I said this has never happened before the food has always been ready and was again told to wait whilst they cooked my food which I wasn’t going to do given id ordered it an hour and a half previously and they’d clearly lied.

I'm sure the atmosphere is banging like the delight they sent to our door tonight. Ive been chugging on the vinda for over 30yrs and this is up there 💯🙏

We had lunch here, and its was really good, the food, service and the place. The amazing thing which i have never expected was the politeness of the the waiters and the team. Superb!!

Not going to lie if you are looking for a glamorous place go elsewhere. If you’re looking for amazing vegetation/meat honest FANTASTIC food look no further. Their paneer is amazing crispy coated,gorgeous crispy bhajer is lovely. My mate loved his meat dishes. Wine list is pretty good too.

The service was excellent as was the ambiance. The naan was hot, soft and fluffy and the food came out quickly. On the negative, the food was a bit too garlicky and sweet for our taste. The Guinness was £6 a pint which is expensive compared to other local desi pubs. We ordered the soya keema and the kadai paneer. Overall we will not be returning.

Fantastic Indian food, the way it should be. The restaurant is at the back, it is really authentic, your clothes do have to be washed afterwards, but eating here is highly recommended

Visited The Broadway for a quick bite to eat before the Abbey Park Light Show. It was extremely busy for a Sunday, so we couldn’t get seating in the restaurant, so we sat in the pub, which was not quite Suitable with a young child. The service was great and the food came out straightaway as we were in a little rush. The poappdums were nice, fresh and crispy. The garlic naan breads were light and fluffy and full of flavour. We ordered butter chicken and paneer tikka masala which was very rich in flavour. The paneer biryani was presented really nicely, but was a little spicy. We’ve been to this pub a few times and the food is always consistently good.

Food, service and atmosphere get 10/10 The portions were huge People have been telling me about this place for a while and not had a chance to come for one reason or another and finally got to come last night Service was prompt and having ate late last night and me having stomach issues its not caused any pain or cramps which is a surprise and from now on this is my go to! Thank you for the lovely food and atmosphere I will be recommending this to anyone that wants to try indian food It looked too good to have photos of

- Food all pre-prepped so just reheating , starters came out in 5 mins and mains in 10 min Chicken wings had a funny smell to them No authentic flavours - Staff look unmotivated , all stand and just stare at you whilst you eat - atmosphere was standard

We usually dine in due to decorating we ordered takeaway very easy to do online, arrived early food was piping hot, delicious as always, thank you for the complimentary poppadoms and dip.

Great food and drinks for a group of 11 celebrating a birthday with some of the best mixed grills we've had. The service was great despite the number of us, consistently topping up our drinks and keeping the food coming. The sizzlers are tasty, hot and spicy. I would recommend leaving your nice clothes/coats in the car or at home! One of our party was vegan, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about what he could eat and carefully kept his food separate from everything else. Thanks to the team at Broadway for making it an enjoyable evening.

Called up before we got here as it was quite late, asked for a table for 4. The man on the phone said yeah come over. We got there and the man said you have to order straight away, as soon as we sat down. The menu is quite large so we were having a glance and asked if we can please have the starter and main course separately. He refused in a very rude manner and said it’s all going to come at once. We then agreed and placed our order, one of the curries we ordered was paneer butter masala and as soon as we said this the man taking the order said it’s going to be sweet to which we said, can we please have it spicy and not sweet. He then said okay and went off, when we received our food we ate the paneer butter masala and it was very sweet. We then asked someone why this is so sweet if we had asked for it to be spicy? To which he said this is suppose to be like this, if you wanted it spicy you should have said. To which my partner replied we did ask for it spicy. The man then gave a reply with a really poorly attitude, he said ‘this is a british place, this is how the food is here’. To say that it is listed as an Indian restaurant, this reply shocked us, wnd then he walked away smirking saying cheers thank you. Really shocking especially coming from a man that looked south asian himself. We then did not eat the curry, paid and then left. Will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone anymore. Food was tasteless and did not live up to the expectations at all. The service was the worse, one of the waiter was very kind however the one who seemed like he was in charge and made a comment about it being a british place was snobby and rude. I also took a photo of the curry to show how there were green chillies added in however it was sweet and tasted bad.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Broadway Leicester for the first time earlier this year, motivated by their recognition at the Leicester Curry Awards. Given the considerable buzz on social media, particularly from CoolAsLeicester, I had high expectations for the dining experience. Unfortunately, I found the food to be rather mediocre, falling short of the standards set by other Indian pubs in Leicester. Despite my initial disappointment, I decided to give Broadway Leicester another chance when my preferred takeaway option was closed. This time, I ordered through UberEats, and while the food arrived promptly and at a good temperature, my choice of saag paneer was a letdown. Although the paneer was well-prepared, the lack of saag left me feeling as though the dish had been sourced from a pre-packaged option rather than freshly made. I share this review not out of malice, but to provide honest feedback for potential diners. Given our experiences, I doubt we will return to Broadway Leicester for food, as we believe there are superior options available in the city.

Lovely food with a vast variety of options. Parking is a disaster but besides that, Service was great with tables cleared regularly, not too long between courses, and happy to be of service. We were a party of 7 but all courses came at the same time. Overall, great food and service, it was a bit loud for a restaurant but would recommend it.

Had a staff party ordered chicken and lamb curry for 60 people , and all staff commented how very nice it was , packed in a hot pot and stayed hot for three hours .. highly recommended

Good food. Regular sizzler was decent and me and the wife and I enjoyed it. It was very tasty. A lamb chop in the sizzler would be a good idea, especially for the price. Overall, it was a good experience. One touch I really liked was the fact they give u wet wipes at the end of the meal.

Broadway has been the best bar and grill I've tried, both for dining in and takeaway, compared to others. Despite not having a reservation, they managed to accommodate us, and the food was served relatively quickly with minimal wait time. When it came to drinks, the server listed our options, though I would have preferred a menu for easier selection, as I felt a bit rushed. We ordered both the Veg and Meat Sizzlers, and I highly recommend trying them. For curries, we chose the Chicken Majusi and the Lamb Tawa (requested extra spicy, and they nailed it), paired with butter naans. The service was also excellent, with the server regularly checking in to ensure everything was to our liking. One small downside was that being a quieter Sunday afternoon, the occasional glances from the staff felt slightly uncomfortable, though I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. That said, I was too engrossed in the delicious food to be overly bothered. Overall, I’d rate it 9/10, and I’m excited to return with family and friends, especially during the evening when the atmosphere is likely to be even better.

Atmosphere is hard to say, it was buzzing with full tables and lots of people having fun but you couldn't hear yourself think so was hard talking with the rest of the table. Service wasn't great, food took a long time to come out and I think the servers left us quite a long time before ordering as we were a decent table of 9 and maybe a little harder to get to. One of our meals was also forgotten. On the plus side, they took all of our orders separately which helped with paying up at the end. Food however... We amazing! Every single dish, even the chips which, let's be honest, are usually limp and lifeless, was amazing. Big big portions, tasty and fresh. Despite the service not being great, id definitely go back.

Been here three times. First time was OK. Second time was awful, thought give it another chance. Service was hit and miss. Had a separate waitress doing the drinks who hadn't a clue about another, probably a cash in hand job. Food was terrible. Gave us all belly ache for two days. Toilets were a mess, urine all over the floor. Sticky tables. Original chef has left that place (saw it on Instagram) , so food has gone downhill. Much better indian restaurants to visit. You were good once, but like all good things they come to an end.

Visited on 28/08/24 - first visit after considering the reviews and recommendation from family. its won several awards so I went along to see what this was really like. Reservations are recommended - not sure why but I will come to that. Arrived with my children. we could not be seated in the main restaurant because they were booked (we arrived at 6.30pm ish) - we were escorted to the Bar area, a table cleaned and we were seated Bar area serves beers / pre-mixed cocktails (not my thing) and a food counter area Ordered Starters Chicken Wings - they were enjoyed by my children. Tasted well and looked fresh Lamb kebab - arrived on a hot sizzling plate. Spiced and withs some flavour. the meat was hard and rubbery. Chicken Tikka - arrived on a hot sizzling plate. mediocre at best. The chicken was pre-cooked and they re-heated and tossed in onions and flavours - I think this is something most restaurants practice. Sadly the chicken was poor - it was hard (I conveyed this to our server) There was little taste but disappointingly it was hard and was NOT fresh. I know what fresh chicken tastes like. you know when the chicken is not fresh when the marinade from the first cook starts to seep into pre-cooked chicken - so I would not order the chicken again - was a waste of time and like I said it was hard, not fresh and needed more flavour. this has been echoed by friends who visited and ordered the same chicken. Mains Butter chicken was enjoyed by children but it had way too much sugar - way too much sugar ! we took the balance home but it ended up in the bin - it was just too sweet -Butter chicken is not meant to be sweet. Garlic chilli Paneer - was enjoyed and does come recommended. Naan - were amazing, freshly cooked and were highly rated by my children. Overall The chicken tikka is not fresh - I dont care what anyone says. and I would not order this the Lamb Kebab was hard and I cant see this being fresh either. I think was cooked and warned up - and like I said it was not soft - was hard and rubbery Butter Chicken - way too sweet Service from Yash was great. I fail to see how such food could be worthy of awards. I wont be going back.

This was my first visit after a long time (5 years). I must say the food has improved significantly since then, especially the mains offering. The service is rather slow though, and they did give us the wrong food twice, although both occasions were rectified quickly. Drinks are price very well here, which will not leave a hole in your pocket.

Nice placed tucked away in Leicester, the food was great overall (bit too much oil on the sizzlers for my liking, but taste was good) friendly staff and good vibes.

1st visit to Broadway as hear heard great reviews!50 mile round trip but worth it. Place wax really busy for our 7.30pm table on a Tuesday night. Menu wad extensive so was drinks choices.They have full Molson Coors Range on Including Cobra Draught. Started with Aubergine 🍆 Sizzler and mini Samosas, both were lovely right amount of spice on Aubergines. Mains we had,Tandoori Fish Sizzler,mixed grill in Kadai (lovely in a lovely curry sauce).Dhaba Lamb pilau rice Tandoori Roti & Peshwari Nan. We shared the dishes between two snd their was plenty! All washed down with coors light and Cobra.Lovely food will definitely be returning.

First time had food here the food not feel fresh and the staff service from Dev was very bad. atmosphere was nice and love all the screens makes it feel like a sports bar.

The worst food ever had. Used to be really good and a large group of us were regulars here none of us will be going back here and we are informing all our friends and family NOT to go here. The customer service here is terrible and the food quality is very disappointing and disgusting. Tried to inform the staff about the poor quality food we had received and they replied we can’t do anything.

I would like to award Broadway with the worlds driest biriyani. this is the first restaurant I have ever encountered that don't supply any proper sauce with a biri. They do supply Raita, should you wish to have yogurty rice.... Dish contained so many cardamom pods / anise that I was constantly picking them out. Chicken was acceptance, but also very dry. I had phoned up beforehand but assured their biriyani is not dry and not to worry. Woke up this morning with stomach ache. Only positive was the portion was massive.

First time visit today, I certainly wasn't disappointed the food was delicious.

I ordered a medium madras to take away and a garlic chicken. Which my wife enjoyed, but the madras was full on and I'm not able to eat really hot ones any more. I had to put some yogurt in it to calm it down a bit. It was nice flavour, but way hotter than I asked for. I will be going back.

Being in Leicester after a long time, was recommended this Bar & Grill Indian by a local. Was pleasantly surprised. Quality food with good variety & good service by all staff. Overall enjoyed the food & good atmosphere.

My husband and I went there for the first time today. We dined in the restaurant where the food was delicious. The curries were good & for once, not tailored to more delicate/milder tastes. The service was good. All staff were friendly, relaxed and welcoming. We will definitely return and consider ordering on-line. The best grill/curry in a restaurant we’ve had in a long time.

You can only order food online. They do not take order over the phone but if someone don’t know how to order online that mean that person can’t have there food? I ordered at 8.00pm approximately delivery time was 10.00pm so I called and said I am coming to collect my food. Food was very sweet even after telling them to make it medium spicy. I wasted my money. Next day I got diarrhoea too. I wouldn’t be going there again.I wouldn’t even give one star.

A proper back room of a pub curry house ! First visit and wont be the last. There is limited parking and you will need to book as they were turning people away, even on a Wednesday night. The menu is a good selection of your typical curry house dishes and was delivered to us, as expected and well spiced. You can ask for dishes to be hotter if required but we found it to be just right straight off the menu. The rice was a good size but I wouldn’t say it was a sharing size. Definitively one for the list if you are visiting Leicester and after a good curry !

Was one of the best indian in Leicester for chicken. Chicken lollipop is top but this place cannot cook lamb. The sizzler is okay. That lollipop sauce is used on chilli panner crispy mushrooms very repetitive. Lamb curries are poor
