We come to Hoveton every year and have always enjoyed visiting the tea rooms for a spot of breakfast. This year was slightly different. They have only gone and updated their seating! Where there were once lovely tables and chairs (a la country style seating), now there is a mixture of those along one side of the rooms and white fabric benches along the other! Obviously this is just an aesthetic and it is lovely. It's just not what I remembered and I am a creature of habit! The staff are all really friendly and very helpful. I am going to assume it is the manager/owner but the male boss who kept telling them off clearly doesn't understand his business or trust the staff to do what they were doing very well. My advice to him - leave them to get on with their job as they were doing it well! The important bit now. The food is pretty good and filling. There is a lovely array of cakes. You cannot order from the main menu before 1130am so you are a bit stuck if you don't want a breakfast. Also be prepared to pay a lot for the privilege of sitting on a white fabric bench and being entertained watching the manager/owner boss young girls around. It is very pricey and nothing is cheap. You are going to spend a lot if you choose to eat here. So in summary, we have friendly staff, a somewhat traditional tea rooms but sadly pricing itself out of the market as there are two other eating options next door to it, as well as a Maccy D's (McDonalds) just down the road.

staff were ok plenty of choice on menu found some of the prices of food expensive as for the drinks they were very expensive we had a can of coke which cost £1.80 which is a disgusting price when they only cost around 30p each to buy wholesale and tea at £1.80 each when the average is around £1.20 but the place was very clean

I have been coming to this restaurant in Wroxham for the last three years on a regular basis and I can honestly say I have always had an excellent meal. The couple that own and run it are a credit to the hospitality industry always a warm welcome. The menu is wholesome British favourites proper fish and chips fish shop style not crumbed and frozen chips roast dinners with Yorkshire pudding at least three veg and good gravy an all day full English breakfast with fried bread and everything is well prepared and presented. Hot sweets or excellent scones or cake to finish there is no excuse to leave wanting more. Busy Summer and winter my tip is if you are in Wroham and want an excellent meal for two including a drink for under £20 try here you won't regret it.

What a find in Wroxham. Really enjoyed our home made scones, Cornish cream, jam and Yorkshire tea! We were served very quickly and with a smile. The price of the afternoon tea was excellent value for money. The man who was serving was the owner and was very pleasant to all his customers and it was a pleasure to have tea there. He told us he does Sunday roast and if we had been staying another day we would have been back!

Visited on a day when the weather was not brilliant. The tearoom was so busy that we had to wait for a table although that was not a problem. We had the roast inner and that was well cooked and enjoyable. The prices were quite reasonably considering the location. Friendly family atmosphere.

We ate there while waiting for our Broads Tour to begin. We had jacket potato with tuna, jacket potato with beans and cheese, and a tuna baguette. The tuna baguette was passable. The portions were generous and accompanied by salad. The potatoes were also accompanied with salad, which included mango and pineapple, which we felt didn't go with the rest of the meal. The worst thing was that the potatoes looked as if they had been baking for hours - and tasted like it. The skin was hard and burnt and the inside tasted stale. It was a popular place being one of the few places close by where you could sit to eat but we wouldn't recommend it.

Extensive menu and real coffees.Café and toilets were absolutely spotless, and nicely decorated.

My family and I had a cream tea here whilst on holiday and we visited Wroxham for the first time in 7 years. This tea room was a little gem. The presentation of the meals was lovely from what we could see. Had an iced frappucino which was lovely and the cream tea was lovely - with the jam in little pots - was a nice touch. And the staff- they were very friendly- the man and lady in there behind the counter were both very happy people with smiles upon their faces! Lovely people and a lovely tea room with a Victorian-theme to it. Loved it and would highly recommend!

Call me intolerant but the sound of pensioners coughing their guts up, blowing their noses, sounding like their unlikely to make it through the day, coupled with snotty nose kids with mothers who clearly enjoy eating more than they do working, spoiled my Fish & Chip experience. The food was lovely, the service excellent but from now on I shall be avoiding anywhere that offers a OAP special!

We have eaten here quite a few times when in Wroxham and have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. I was offered extra gravy for my roast beef and also asked if I would like my pot of tea topped up. There is a varied menu, from dishes with chips to cottage pie or a roast. All dishes are prepared to order and come with fresh vegetables. Everything is available to eat in or take away. They also have a good selection of scones and cakes, plus cream teas. I would recommend it to anyone.

We eat here quite regularly. The staff are all delightful, helpful and really friendly and it is one of the few places you can get a good vegetarian breakfast, well cooked and well presented, with lots of mushroom, hash browns, good toast, eggs and beans - and no ghastly substitute sausages which are always quite frankly awful. We have also tried baked potatoes, salads and other menu items and they never disappoint. Full marks to the whole team.

A strange name as this is not just a tea room but a first class restaurant serving many dishes. The Sunday carvery is very good as are all the dishes. It also serves breakfast and afternoon teas. Although we only stopped on this occasion for coffee and cake, both were delicious. The medium sized coffees actually tasted of coffee - wonders will never cease! The "St Clement's" cake had a lovely citric flavour and came with a little additional flavoured cream. The meals that we could see being served were more than ample in quantity and certainly appeared to being enjoyed. Next time we shall have lunch there as the menu is extensive if not exactly exotic. Recommended.

Wroxham is a busy place, if you find yourself needing to eat there you could do worse than the Bridge tea rooms. There is a big car park just before the Bridge on the right, where the boat trips go from, park there and walk over the bridge- the Tea Rooms are on your right only a short walk, and you won't have to cross the road. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place and the quality of the food, there were seven of us and it was busy, we only just managed to find two tables, but the service was quick enough. There are about 16 tables and it is airconditioned.

Always have lunch here when I bring the children to Wroxham but this is the 2nd disappointed meal and its not cheap. I had homemade scone which was very nice..but the egg on toast and cheese and tomato bagget was very poor, this with black coffee, hot chocolate, glass of milk and cappuccino was over £21...london prices. It was still busy but none of the meals looked wow. I think owners should remember its us that keep you in business, keep cutting quality of the food and increasing prices you have no customers.
