Run by charity, staffed by diabled people. Excellent value, terrific food etc. Feel-good visit. Should be a lot busier but slightly off-centre and lots of coffee shops in Sudbury

We are just finishing our late lunch, me roast beef, my partner quiche salad.....just excellent! It's our first visit , it won't be the last!! The eatery is attached to a project involved with extra needs people, it seems to be quite popular

This charity-based organisation offers more than just reasonable food: opportunities for staff with learning difficulties and craft workshops as well. Staff are really friendly, it's almost like taking a meal in someone's own home. Sometimes they've run out of things, but that doesn't matter - there is always something else on offer. Well-cooked, good quality food.

If you have not stopped here before please do. A functioning project for those with extra needs this place makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Tea is in teacups and the food is freshly prepared in store. Run with the help of volunteers, the cafe also boasts artwork for sale on the walls. Warm, relaxed and friendly this art cafe is a great location to meet with friends. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and, I believe it can even be privately hired for functions. One space even has its own kitchen for private catering .

Popped into The Bridge Project Cafe with a very close friend for tea and toast. Place was very clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Asked for one serving of toast to be almost cremated and one serving to be golden and both were done to perfection! The black coffee was strong and hot and the teabag was as requested left on the side of the saucer for me to get the strength of my tea to suit my very particular taste. It was very reasonably priced and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would go there again. We cheekily looked at what other customers had ordered saw that all the food seemed to be wholesome and tasty looking!

I had a quick lunch here - sandwich and soup. Lovely ham off the bone. Soup 'home made' but a bit gloopy. Super value and run by a charity so all in a good cause. Nice friendly atmosphere. Not posh at all.

Lovely cafe serving home cooked meals & snacks, savory & sweet, hot & cold drinks. Pleasant seating area. Happy, attentive, helpful staff. Additionally a place to have fun with pottery painting, choose a plate, cup, ornament, or other, paint it, leave it, they fire it, you collect your finished piece. Great place for family time.

A little beyond Gainsborough's House, this is a fantastic place for morning coffee or lunch when visiting Sudbury. The special of the day was Roast Beef, at an incredible £6.00 but we wanted a light lunch so settled for a beautiful home-made quiche and salad. I've also tried their scones, which are to die for! We especially like the idea of the cafe's profits going towards such a brilliant local charity, so urge everyone to support it and eat GREAT CAKE at the same time!

Visit the pub for a band night recently and very disappointed in our experience. Band were fantastic but service from pub was appalling. The pub had advertised the evening as a live band and pizza night so would have surely staffed the pub appropriately but very much not the case-queues of people at the bar every time we went to get another drink and waiting nearly an HOUR AND A HALF for a pizza!!! If we had come out to the pub for a proper meal this would still be unacceptable but this was just for 2 pizzas of all things?!?! Really need to work on staffing as this is poor service by anyone’s standards. The worst part was that whilst we were in the long queue to place our order, a regular walked to the front of the queue and handed the barman his pizza order which was put through as a priority above those who had been waiting in line! Definitely in two minds now as to whether to return for the Beer Festival in August.

Lovely little place, log fire, polite landlady and a great selection of ales. Reasonably priced. Always a warm welcome.

I have meant to try the pie mash shop in Sudbury for ages but only got round to it today. I'm really sorry I didn't go before now as it was excellent. I only had a single pie and mash but it was plenty for me. The pie was perfect and the liquor was really good. I will definitely go back.

This has become our go to pub when travelling home to the Netherlands via Harwich. Just a short detour from the main road will bring you to this lovely spot. The garden is pretty and usually we eat outside. Weather was a bit nippy this time so we found a spot indoors. Very charming and quirky. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. We've sampled most things on the menu over the last few years but I have to say my steak and ale pie was particularly good this time. Such a shame that we can never fit in a dessert.
