We go to The Bridge for lunch regularly. The staff, volunteers, are all friendly and welcoming. The food is freshly made and good quality. My husband is fussy about coffee and thinks this is the best coffee in the area, including all the restaurants we are blessed with. If you are in the area you will get good service and fresh food at very low prices.

Very impressed with the well-manned cafe and car park staffed by (very friendly) volunteers. Coffee was delicious and went down well with the homemade cake whilst sat outside in the early autumn sunshine. The garden at the side was lovely to have a browse around. This is a very well maintained church cafe and shop which being as busy as it was, is clearly a much loved and valuable asset. A very relaxing and welcoming place.

The staff were most welcoming. We ordered a toasted sandwich each, which was freshly cooked and came with a salad and coleslaw. One order was for cheese and tomato toasty - cheese and ham arrived, but it was tasty. Great value at only £10.20 for 2 toasties and 2 coffees. The coffee cake with fresh cream was moist and a bargain at only £1.50. A great venue for a quick lunch or coffee and cake. Only open Monday to Fridays. It got a bit noisy when a child arrived in the children's play area corner - I dread to think of the noise with 3 or 4 children in there as there is little in the way of soft furnishings to deaden the noise.

I have been here a few times now and think it's fab! The coffee and homemade cakes are delightful. The food is lovely and great value for money. Friendly staff and a little table for children with toys, crayons etc so the perfect place to take little ones too. I also like a nosey in the charity shop next door while I'm there. I will return again and again.

Called in for a good cup of coffee and wonderful home made chocolate cake. Sandwiches were also available. What a lovely, modern, immaculately clean cafe. It's staffed by friendly volunteers. Can easily be missed as its attached to the charity shop. Could do with a bigger board outside or maybe something on the cafe windows. Will recommend to friends. Well worth a visit.

The Bridge has displayed it's food hygiene rating: five stars- the best! - not surprised, I've been a few times now and the rating's well deserved. Lovely new homemade soups too. Will definitely be back.

Probably the cleanest cafe I've ever been in. Staffed entirely by volunteers who make fresh sandwiches and pannini, soups and wonderful traditional cakes and home bakes.

I'd ordered a cake for my sons birthday about a week/2 weeks before his birthday, it came to the day and luckily I phoned preemptively at 10 to check if the cake was ready to pick up, it had not been made. Which in turn stressed me out, although I got a phonecall at 12ish to tell me my cake was ready. So I went to pick it up, I was given an apology for the messing about in the morning, and some free cupcakes. That and the cake had more than I asked for.. got it home and it was delicious and my son loved all his chickens. Thank you again the cake was beautiful

Lovely place, great food, reasonable prices and the staff are fantastic. Two meals and two drinks typically come to around £16 and it's a lot nicer and friendlier than any overpriced chain cafe. It has very quickly become a regular weekend stop for us.

Don’t recommend this place unless you want to be let down on the day your suppose to be collecting the cake - thanks to this lady we had to rush around and find someone who could make a cake at last minute. Also has a bad attitude towards customers who are paying a lot of money. Just to reply to your comment; you had no intention of making the cake hence your message of ‘saves me a job making it when I get home from work’ the cake was expected at 11am you said this would not be done until the evening - on the day of expected pick up as arranged with no prior notice of this change you actually said ‘you will try have this done before the celebration started’ TRY is not good enough after you had changed the agreed time. How can we risk having no cake for a birthday party? You had plenty of notice to make this cake yet still failed to keep your end of the deal.
