Lovely place. Nipped in for a flat white after a run. The barista was very friendly and the coffee was excellent.

Double Bacon and Sausage on Toast with Brown Sauce and an Exotic Fruit smoothie was 10/10 from BB, always love visiting here as a treat and the food is brilliant, well thought out menu, nice setting and lovely staff, prices are unbelievable and we got two meals and two drinks for a £10 👍🏻

My mate works here, so I took it upon myself to try it out last year. I definitely need to go back soon, it would be great if I lived closer to Heywood but unfortunately I don’t otherwise I’d be here more often, plus I don’t drive. The food is fabulous, coffee and hot chocolate is beautiful and the service is amazing. Richard, the owner, is so down to earth and genuine with everyone, which makes you want to go back again and again. The vibe is chilled and intimate. Price-wise, very decent and reasonable. I would recommend anyone to visit here and try it out. It’s worth it, for sure.

A really friendly place with great conversation, excellent coffee, tea, cold drinks and food, with a good range of gluten free. If you’ve never been here, it’s definitely worth a visit.

I had a bacon and sausage sandwich on a bloomer I can honestly say it's the best hot sandwich I have ever had. Bacon plentiful and cooked just right the sausage was full of spices . All this for 3 pounds sixty

Love this place, lovely people, very polite and friendly and do better mocha's than most major coffee bands (I.e dunken and costa), definitely would recommend, also the mocha I ordered, had a nice foamy milky top, but under had a nice rich chocolate taste (milk chocolate) and the coffee was perfectly balanced with coffee for this lovely chocolately coffee taste definitely coming back for another one

Meeting up with daughter & granddaughters for a monthlyish get together. Youngest granddaughter was searching for a cafe for cake and coffee near my home, on Google. She liked the name so we went. It's a small but oh so friendly place. The food was excellent and the coffee was wonderful. (I don't drink tea and I am rather picky when it comes to coffee. It has to be good!!!!) I shall certainly return, even treating myself on my own as I know I won't feel out of place and welcome. Thank you for a lovely family get together.

Heywood is lucky to have this coffee shop as the people that work here are very friendly and welcoming, and the coffee is of a high quality. On this occasion I also had lunch here. I would recommend their paninis. If you have room for a cake or dessert too I recommend you have one as you won't be disappointed. They always make your little ones feel welcome too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 star on this occasion was a couple of the toasties on our table were burnt. This did not bother who I was with but if it were mine I would have mentioned it. This is hardly anything though compared to the overall experience we had. Looking forward to visiting again.

They did an afternoon tea for my daughters birthday and it was lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly and helped make her day that bit more special.

We have been going to the Bearded Barista for several years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They serve a good selection of food and their coffee is the best around.

Fab place! I live & work sooo close and have never been before for some reason but visited this week and was very impressed. Good selection, great staff, great space [much bigger than it appears from outside...with an upstairs area too]. Was busy when we visited lunchtime on 9.1.2020 and I can see why. Couldn't fault it. Will be back for sure. Have visitors from overseas quite often so this will now be my new lunch place to take them to.

Been coming here for years and we really enjoy it. We went today. After a busy shift at work, with my partner kids and my mum and dad. We ordered coffees and our food at 12.20pm 12.55 our coffees turn up. 35 mins for 4 coffees is horrendous service. Food is lovely and it’s a really good cup of coffee, but there’s also other places in Heywood, FFK , kegs, Albany , etc. Time to up your customer service BB !!

Went in to meet up with family, sat for a few minutes till they arrived, was on corner table near counter, could see lots of dust under the till and on counter! some tables didn't look like they had been cleaned properly!.The young lady who took the order had very long,loose hair, although the place was quiet, we had to wait ages for our order. when we got it, had to remove a long hair off the table,, The service was poor,and staff seemed unfriendly, Wont be going there again!!!

We visit Bearded Baristas fairly regularly as the staff are always polite and the food always tastes good. And we like to support local businesses.However the service still needs some work. Every time we visit one person always gets their food 5 or 10 minutes before the other person. The same for drinks. Sometimes the drinks don’t come out until you are half way through your meal. It’s a nice place so I really hope to see this improve.

Family outing the day before my wedding. It's cheap, no denying. The food is predominantly very simple. Jacket potatoes, paninis, pizza breads, brownies and cookies and not much else. Despite the simple food, it is still very cheap amd is very nice. However, the cost of the food comes at a price. The service is pretty poor. 3 different waiters coming and going, taking part of the order of our table of 6 and then in the middle of taking our order went AWOL for 20mins, going to serve other tables. Very close to walking out. Also it was only after we had eaten them we were informed the desserts were vegan. Wish we were told so we could at least make a choice as opposed to just been given it. Wouldn't dream of giving something non-vegan to someone who was vegan so it shouldn't be any different the other way round.

Great food and amazing coffee, wonderful service, a must go place, also great with kids. Silky smooth flat whit and huge and very tasty cajun chicken club sandwich, I will definitely be going again.

I am a regular visitor to Bearded Baristas. Richard and his team and pretty fantastic. The atmosphere is always relaxed. The staff always have the time to chat with you and make you feel welcome. The food is always lovely and fresh. The drinks are a great price. The quality is fantastic. I would recommend here for all age groups, families, friends, couples or just pop in on your own. You will have a lovely experience and be welcomed.

I took my mum for lunch which she really enjoyed. The food and coffee was lovely presented well and reasonably priced. We would definitely go again.

I only found this place a few weeks ago. The guys are super nice and will go the extra mile, they even brought my order to the car as my daughter was in the car. The bacon sandwiches are so nice and the coffee is lovely. Definetely my new fave for breakfast

I went there and the coffee was fab! I had a piece of lovely chocolate cake with my coffee and it rounded off the "afternoon tea" perfectly.

Thought I would pop down for a nice bit of hot chocolate, I was welcomed to a very nice and friendly face, I believe his name was Richard. Lovely bloke, has some great banter and I must say the environment in his place is filled with love. Could not complain about the hospitality I received from the staff, I would recommend this over costa and starbucks due to the service I received.

Me and my little boy went today for the first time for lunch! The service was great, our food was delicious and it was so reasonably priced! I had Nutella and strawberry pancakes for pudding, they were to die for! My little boy is already asking when he can have another fully loaded milkshake!

Went here with my other half when visiting my brother the morning after his 40th Birthday party. Just what we needed to cure our hangovers. Lovely coffee, delicious bacon and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. Great staff with great banter. If we lived locally we'd be there all the time! Good job guys!!

We have been going here for a while now and I have to say they serve the best coffee in Heywood. It's not as plush as your coffee shop chains but it's nice and homely/cosy and pleasant staff.

Glad we found this place after seeing recommendations, as mentioned before strange location for a decent cafe. Can highly recommend the flat white coffee and we always order it wherever we are. Just back from Padstow and thought we had found the best but this was on a par with it. Very tasty food too, just wish it had a more comfortable, cosy feel.

Decidimos probar y encontrar algún lugar que sirve café decente en la zona. Visitar familiares en Middleton y las opciones hay algo grave! Así era y tripadvisor duda de que he encontrado este lugar de lo contrario. Al lado de la calle principal de Heywood mezcladas con tapiada tiendas. Desde fuera no parece genial y el nombre puede poner a la gente. No todo el mundo sepa qué barista (nosotros) y y luego me pregunto por qué están barbado, un nuevo nombre, tal vez? El interior del café no es muy atractiva, pero nos quedamos y de haberlo hecho, el café era de hecho gran y la luz almuerzos deliciosos y razonable. Volveremos cuando esté en la zona.
