Pleasant location for lunch with friend. There was some heating, which made it pleasant on a cold day. My wife and I both had beef pie. Accompanying vegetables were good - not over cooked. Chips good. Pies disappointing. Filling contained little meat, and my wife’s had some gristle lumps. Sticky toffee pudding good

Very nice meal here. Staff very friendly and the pub looked pretty and festive with twinkly lights and Xmas decorations. The area we were seated was close to a roaring, open fire. Our only criticism was, because both the fire and radiators were on, it made the room uncomfortably hot. So much so that we didn't stay for very long after we'd finished our meal. It wasn't cold enough outside to warrant the radiators being on, let alone the fire. Sadly, it did spoil our visit somewhat.

Excellent service from our waiter Seyf who was friendly and attentive. Our food and drinks were very good and it didn’t take long to arrive. My desert came with custard which was presented in a small jug but when I requested more Seyf went immediately and fetched me another jug at no extra charge. We couldn’t fault our visit and would be happy to recommend this pub to our friends and family.

My husband and I enjoyed our meal out last night. Our waitress was Saskia and she was very helpful and prompt with taking and delivering our food and drink orders. I did hear a female manager being very rude to the staff, in front of all the customers and I felt this was very rude of her and unnecessary. We enjoy going to the Bridge for a meal and will return in the near future.

Came with family for dinner on a Saturday night and the food was brilliant so was the service - I have an allergy to sesame and they dealt with that brilliantly so we decided to go back the following week on a Friday evening for dinner with the rest of family that couldn’t come before- food was good but service wasn’t great!!!! They got confused as to to which meals belonged to which tables. Mine was marked as allergy but the options I had asked for had been put on my daughter’s plate and I had her options. NOT GOOD FOR ALLERGIES The waitress dropped a knife when clearing the plates and my husband got splashed with tomato sauce- no apology Different waitress served dessert and practically threw it at us We came back straight away because so impressed by first visit - after 2nd visit we won’t be rushing back

Unfortunately not a great experience for a birthday celebration Served by supposedly a female manager at front desk A very unfriendly greeting as we walked in and then to be served throughout our meal with lack of acknowledgement and enthusiasm and not even a smile thankfully it was made up by a lovely waitress with funky glasses who acted in a more professional manner and made the rest of our experience worth while But sadly we will not return!

We were there for a very nice New Years Eve meal, we understood that the restaurant was closing at 10pm, however our table was booked for 7.30, so plenty of time to eat and leave, (so we thought). We placed our drinks order and when they came we place our starter and mains order, both of the starters were for sharing and both of them required breads or crackers to eat them. When they arrived at the table one of them had nothing with it help you eat it so we had to have some from the other dish and the size of the dish was really only big enough for one person. When the mains arrived, everyone of them varied in temperature from barely hot to barely warm and the presentation was shocking and the plates were cold, never the less we ate what we could then ordered desserts, while we were eating them the waitress, who up to this point had been very professional, came up to us at least three times to ask if we wanted anything else and then at least another three time after she had taken the dishes away, which made us feel like they wanted us out so we paid up and left, the time was 9.15. Also my friend was looking to book a birthday meal for 20 people and was told they only took booking for up to 12 people because of the size of the kitchen and they wanted to maintain the standard of food. Its a pity that didn't apply to the food we had been served. My friend has dodged a very big bullet.

Came in for dinner, sat by the river before hand for a drink which was lovely. We were greeted, sat and looked after by Charotte - she was very attentive and suggested the wild boar burger from the specials which was delicious! Can't wait to come back again

We stopped on the off chance as we travelled to Cambridge. Decided to stay for lunch. Lovely Thai themed lunch, friendly atmosphere, clean facilities. Reasonable price for fresh cooked beautifully presented food. If we lived nearby we would definitely be back.

Had lunch one weekday last week. Despite a large group before us the food was served reasonably quickly. All the food was good and quantities were good too. The service was good throughout and decent value for money. Would return.

Great pub, cold beer, delicious food, nice spacious and very clean rooms, ample car park, still found a space during Sunday lunch service, not much more one could ask. Stayed 4 nights here, and it's been a great experience. Very clean room, recently, in my opinion, refurbished room, very comfy bed, great wifi throughout, smart TV with all your streaming app pre installed so just sign in and keep watching your fav series. Pub is great as well, very clean, the smell of the wood fires, and the very good music choice just makes it that bit extra cosy. The food was fantastic, all freshly made and delicious. Staff was very helpful, smiling all the time, and made sure everyone had a great time. A couple of things to consider: they only serve continental breakfast during weekdays, would love to have the option of a cooked one, judging by the quality of the food I had it would definitely be banging! On the flip side, I understand we are in a small village, and perhaps it wouldn't make financial sense to the business to pay chefs and staff for maybe 2 guests. Also, if you check in on a Sunday, they stop serving food at 4 p.m., and the pub shuts at or around 7 pm. With everything considered...it's a 4.95 stars from me. Very quiet area, so sleep was great, great food, cold beers! Will definitely return if I'm in the area! Thank you for a great stay!

Wanted a cosy Sunday pub roast on a rainy day and got exactly that . Lovely warm and instantly welcoming staff and country pub atmosphere. Noted a decent range of beers on the pumps and had a tasty local ale to go perfectly with the food . Had already looked up the menu before going and chose it having noted the veggie roast option which cites roasted root veggies ( I love roasted carrots - and feel often pub roasts lack this ! ) Food arrived in a pleasing way and can say the nut roast was full of texture , the cauliflower cheese was rich in flavour and the roasted parsnips were absolutely lovely - could’ve pigged on more ! My only minor drawback ( and this is being picky ) is for the roasted spuds - I love a really extra crispy crunch on the outside they were great but a personal taste for me would be to have that extra outer crunch :) Great value, really well presented very tasty - I’d go back and recommend to others :) … dived in too quickly to take any pictures but can verify that the pictures already shared on previous reviews are accurate , if I’d had room for a pud I’d have gone for one !
