A nice pub spoilt by the wrong type of clientele - some of the people there had weird personality traits - the usual mental health excuse being used for what I would describe as bad behavior I enjoyed myself in this pub despite these individuals

Was OK had the football on but no sound had music playing so spoilt it abit

Came here with Icarus and three others on a mid December 2023 Thursday afternoon. Had a great couple of hours in this traditional pub. (First ever visit. I think United legend Pat Crerand used to own it...He is 84 and could probably put more effort into a game than some of the current players.) It is a Craft Union pub and thus exceptional value. A pint of Wainwright Gold for £2.50, about a tenner for two pints and two generous wines. Hope to return soon for another pint or three. Outside space on front patio.

Towncentre put nice and cozy very cheap, coors £3 a pint bier moretti £3-50 Cheaper than all the winebar and bistros by a couple of pounds and a better atmosphere.

Not been in for ages. Treated my dad to father's Day lunch (not here), afterwards we came in for a pint. Compared to the Tavern on the green which was dead with half the beer not on. This was a throw back to how pubs should be, a great buzz, good music but not too loud to make conversations awkward and good choice of beers with great service

The beer has gone up 25p a pint since the last time I was in there.

It's a bit small, and the mens toilets definitely need looking at, only 2 people can get in, but nice pint, good atmosphere, cosy.

About we had a proper landlord and landlady. They are a lovely couple. They deserve to get on. I bet the tenant/owner has noticed how the sales have shot up compared to the other manager who is completely devoid of any management skills or to have any experience in the running and hospitality she should have shown to her patrons. She is devoid of any personality. Maybe because she was a heavy cannabis user and a secret drinker.

Tried ordering a pint outside and the lady who was taking table orders, took extreme offence at my sarcastic face mask saying " Northern scum.." the one with the short grey hair.. I tried explaining that i was northern too and it was just a joke mask.. I think she's had a humour bypass, I'd definitely avoid this place like the plague..Very unfriendly pub..there's other pubs round the corner..

Refurbished interior with lighter decor. Lively venue (Saturday evening). Short walk from metro station and within easy walking distance of other pubs. Would have good to see greater range of beers.

Nice, cosy bar, away from the wannabe Hooray Henry's who drink in the market area, just proper people who aren't playing "the, oh I live in Hale" game.

In need of investment I would say. Quite dark and not particularly welcoming. Well located and could do so much more and better.

A busy public house friendly atmosphere with a do all sports are shown here and the drinks are very good value does not serve food but they allow you to eat your own
