I had the Full English which was superb. Enjoyed every mouthful. Service was friendly and speedy. The service charge was a surprise as I tipped the waitress. But still was happy. I'll be back sometime soon.

Not Fully Halal, Misleading and Unacceptable! Asked if the food was halal before ordering and was told yes. Based on that, we went ahead and ordered and started eating. A little later, we noticed the table next to us being asked if they wanted halal or non-halal food — which was confusing. We immediately clarified with the staff and were then told our food was non-halal. Completely unacceptable. We were given non-halal food after specifically checking and being reassured it was halal. This is misleading, disrespectful, and shows a serious lack of care for customers with dietary and religious requirements. Not coming back, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone who needs halal food.

One of the classier TBCs I’ve been to. Much smarter than the SoHo variety. Staff were lovely too.

Our favourite breakfast place in the neighbourhood! Great food, good variety of menu choices and friendly staff. Do remember to make a reservation if you are doing at the weekends.

Staff are lovely, great customer service and hospitality. Coffee looked and tasted perfect. Very homely & chilled. No rush even on a Saturday and sockets available under tables to connect laptops/chargers which is a great plus. Would definitely come back

We came for breakfast and had the best experience. Service was exceptional, with a smile and they accommodated changes we wanted to our food choices. All the breakfast items were fresh and made to perfection. We would definitely be coming back again. Bonus is that they allow dogs as well

Spontaneous visit for an early breakfast 930am on a Sunday).and I was surprised how busy it was and that they had reservations- so although there were a few empty tables they were reserved. I was super lucky, and they could accommodate me, others were not so lucky 😔 So I would highly recommend pre booking even for breakfast. Food was really good and service excellent 👌

Honestly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. We ordered a Full English (and asked for halal which they provided chicken sausages and turkey rashers as a substitute) The food was perfect to a tee and couldn't recommend it any more! We then ordered The French Toast. Every single thing on the plate was perfect (I just don't personally like passion fruit). The chocolate and the brioche french toast with the syrup just goes so perfectly and it wasn't too heavy or too sweet. The price is also very decent we only spent about £30 for both those things altogether. Service is with a smile even though it was packed and busy and they are very friendly and welcoming. Oh dear what do I say and where to begin, firstly let me say I have been coming here for the last 13 years since the original owners, so my criticism is based on a fair bit of experience from all of the owners in this period. The issue seems to be with the current owners. Today was fairly busy but nothing more than normal and most tables had been served their food, sat for 15 mins before being asked for drinks by the most miserable staff who treated us like an inconvenience since we arrived even though we had booked to avoid disappointment two of the 3 drinks took ten mins and then we received the third another 7 mins later with no apology. This broke up the first part of the hour wait for the food though so every cloud. When we eventually got the food two plates had food sent back and it was replaced with worse. Then had the cheek to Include a service charge. Oh and why oh why have you removed black pudding from the menu! The worse thing was having to sit next to the most boring customer who one lady member of staff let him monopolise her time asking the most bullshit questions trying to make himself sound more interesting than he clearly was, he nearly put my hyper active children to sleep. All in all the BC is a far cry from what we all fell in love with and full of boring cardboard cutouts that are more interested in the kudos of it all than anything of quality and substance. Oh and who the hell fitted the seating bench on the left as you walking in. Sit on it and you'll feel like a giant at a kids table. If you know you know, people of St Albans please stop leaving this poor excuse of a cafe good reviews for mediocre-poor food and service. Needless to say they have lost regular customers today.

A symphony of flavors! Hands down, the best French toast in town! I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve returned to this cozy haven—it’s truly my all-time go-to spot. The service? Impeccable, every single time. A slice of heaven with every bite!

Great food, amazing portions. It was mad busy for a Sunday afternoon, the food took a bit longer but it was totally worth the wait! I can totally vouch on these filling breakfast options. I'm definitely coming back to try their fancy starters.

This has been the most fulfilling experience! Their portions are really massive. If you’re coming here make sure you a have a great appetite cuz they’re going to feed you like crazy. Really sweet staff. Going to come back soon!
