The Breakfast Bar & Cafe Maldon in Maldon

We dropped in here on the way back home from an early morning trip out. We had 3 lovely breakfasts, two with toast included. Great coffee and Hot Chocolates. It's cash only but that certainly wouldn't stop me from going back for more. There's a cash point and a Post Office to get cash steps away. Lovely friendly staff and great service.

Just had breakfast here, was practically sitting on top of another couple. They gave us no choice of seating. Chips were soggy and tasted microwaved. No tea or coffee was served with either of our breakfasts as it said on menu. They added £1.80 to the bill for swapping hash brown for chips when the menu clearly states you can change one item. Absolute con artists wouldn’t visit again. Young man serving us didn’t even ask us about a coffee or tea when it’s a given. DONT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED FOR 2 QUID.

Good substantial breakfast, includes toast and coffee. Good quality bacon and sausage, all items well cooked. Pleasant service.

Great little Cafe. Came here with my husband and 3 year old. They staff are always very friendly and nothing so too much trouble. They are very good with children. The last time we were there we saw an old gentleman who I assume was a regular, the staff were so lovely to him and took the time to sit and take his order and have a chat. It was super sweet to see. The food itself is really delicious and great value for money. I’m also very very pleased it is no open Sundays!!!!!

We stopped here having never been before and we are so impressed we will be back. The food was amazing , such a big generous portion for only £9 each 🍴 beautiful bacon and sausages. I would definitely recommend

Giant breakfast with 2 super thick toast and a cuppa for under a £10. Superb value and cooked just how I like. Service with a smile from the lovely ladies waiting tables! Perfect place!

A small, well-run cafe with a pleasant atmosphere. They always seem to use good quality ingredients, meals are beautifully presented and the staff are lovely. Yes it happens to be near where I work so it is handy for me, but it is worth a trip to enjoy a good meal.

Popped in for lunch and had a brunch breakfast. Freshly cooked and delicious. Staff very friendly too. The place was very clean. I would definitely go here again.

Just moved to the area, thought we’d give our local cafe a try - so glad we did. Breakfast was perfectly cooked with quality ingredients, we will usually find something to moan about especially the wife - very fussy coffee drinker)! The food was delicious, well presented and plenty of it, all our meals came at the same time and the cafe was clean and welcoming, the staff were friendly and helpful. After visiting a posh pig cafe where the service was diabolical and we had all our meals served at different times this down to earth cafe was relief to find.

After waiting 40 minutes for a couple of sandwiches, an omelet and scrambled eggs. The omelet had a long hair in it, the scrambled egg was fried egg mushed up, the panini, which had a sliver of chicken in it, was touched by the lady’s hands after touching money(during a pandemic)also I had dirt on my glass so the girl wiped it off with her fingers and said there you go.

First time ordering delivery to our office. Amazing bacon and egg baguette, and a huge jacket potato with copious amounts of chicken filling. I even got a call to see which onion I would prefer, very impressed. We will definitely be ordering again.

The freshest and best bacon sandwich I have ever had! The quality here is insanely high, we popped by for a bacon sandwich after a night camping and were served perfectly cooked bacon on soft fresh bread. This place deserves an award!

I live nearby and have eaten here a couple of times. Lots of free car parking, perfect place for bikers, cyclists, or families. Close to Asda and a group of small shops. Breakfast style menu. Friendly staff.

Visited this cafe today and was extremely pleased at the food and surrounding. The staff were fantastic, polite,especially the young lady who took our order, and the fry up breakfast was superb all cooked hot and very well presented, and well worth the money...will definitely go back again A+.

Set back in The Bentalls shopping centre it would be easy to miss this unassuming café. I only happened on it by accident as Tesco's café was too busy. I was blown away by the quality of the food, the service and the huge portions. You would not get better value for money anywhere. I return on a weekly basis now. Tesco could learn a thing or two from this hidden gem.

Always when I am going to The brakfast var in Bengals it's an incredible experience, the staff is very frinedly and the food its delicious. Its possible feel the quality of the ingredients. Visited Maldon for other reasons and happened to pop into this cafe which has just opened recently. I must say decor, ambience, and most importantly food was absolutely amazing and was very impressed. Staff were also attentive. Credit to the family owned business.

This is the place that all Londoner should visit. High standards of food and service. Amazing dishes. I am in love with this place.
