With some lockdown relaxation occurring, the Braeside has created an outdoor area. I enjoyed a few cold beers there yesterday evening and then, when my vivacious young bride joined me, we dined. The food and service were up to the usual standard that Iris and her team always provide. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely restaurant, food great staff friendly, Iris is hands on with everything and nothing was to much trouble for her. There was 24 of us for my dads 80th food came out together and nice and hot. Looking forward to our next meal there in a few weeks time.

The restaurant was nice enough and the staff seemed friendly. The food was very good and came out at a decent amount of time. I can not really fault the place except it was very good and not excellent experience in my view. Probably would not return and not to put off anyone else trying the restaurant. Overall a very good place to visit.

I am not usually a fan of carvery meals, but this place is top notch. Great selection, all well cooked and doesn't have the same feeling of being at a cattle market like other carvery dining experiences! Very friendly service too.

Enloyed a lovely dining experience once again in Braeside last night. The food is, as always, excellent. The service is friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit whether for evening restaurant or the wonderful Sunday Carvery.

Called in during the Cookstown 100, as you would expect very busy during the racing, prices I was advised were higher than normal and certainly higher than the town but again to be expected. would call again when no event is on just to get a truer picture.

This was our first time at the Braeside carvery and it didn't disappoint! The choice of starters and desserts would rival any big hotel and the quality of all the food, including the mains was excellent. Friendly, efficient service. We will definitely be back!

The food here was excellent the variety was excellent from starters to main course to the sweet menu. They also have a gluten free sauces which is very good . The service form the staff was good one wee small girl waitresses in particular was very good and made sure we all were ok . I will denfently be back at this place again very soon as a family we all enjoyed it .

Had the opportunity to eat here while attending the Cookstown 100. The place was extremely busy obviously but the kitchen and service staff did an excellent job. Food was served quickly and the staff managed to stay attentive and friendly under pressure. Good quality and reasonably priced. Worth a visit even if in the area , even if it is slightly outside the main town.

Popped in here recently with my better half,I have to say it's as nice a meal we've had in a very long time. We both went for the 8oz minute steak and were not disappointed,the size of the steak was amazing and cooked rare as requested and cooked to perfection,for our sides we had champ,lyonnaise potatoes,FF onions and Diane sauce,everything we had was brilliant.... Won't be long to we call back here....

Best restaurant in northern Ireland by a mile . Food is awesome the portions are great and the staff is fantastic .a must place to visit

Got the carvery, good food and friendly and helpful staff. Ends up fairly expensive for a full family but would go back again.

Without doubt, the best Sunday carvery in Ireland. Very generous portions, consistently excellent food. Friendly professional service. Takeaway carvery meal available too! Don't be put off by the modest exterior - this is an excellent restaurant for a family Sunday lunch.

Staff are attentive, food is overpriced and as well as that our carvery meat wasn't hot. Disappointed!! Charged £8 for 2 small jugs of diluted blackcurrant. Food tasted ok, wouldn't be in a hurry back.

After attending a 70th Birthday Carvery Meal here with friends back in March, I didn't have to think twice about where to hold my own 60th birthday celebrations. We were a party of some 68 people, with ages varying for 1 year to 83 and each of us was catered for, spectacularly. I chose for our menu "The Carvery", the range of food was exemplary and of an excellent standard, I had many many people commenting to me on how fantastic the food was, especially the Roast Beef, which was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, an elderly Aunt apparently didn't realise the range of food available and said she liked Salmon, the staff immediately set about arranging for her to have a perfectly cooked Salmon Steak which was very much appreciated. Every aspect of the meal was delicious, the starter, the mains, the pudding, followed by plenty of tea, coffee and homemade shortbread hearts and chocolate mints. Going the extra mile is a trait not always experienced in our restaurants, but I can honestly say the service, food and experience of dining in this Restaurant was second to none. On behalf of my family and friends, Iris, I wish to thank you and your staff from the bottom of my heart for making our day a very memorable experience.

The service was excellent... Staff were attentive. Food was average, neither exceptional nor poor. Middle of the road. You won't leave hungry.

We visited the Braeside for a family celebration and were not disappointed by the service or food. There was an excellent array of starters and my only complaint would have been having to put it in a bowl. However, I had a range of hot finger food and also some salads. Everything was as it should be and the soup that followed was equally good. The chef certainly didn't scrimp on the portions of meat and again there was a number of side dishes. The beef was very tender and well cooked. The desserts were also good, but by then we were pretty full! All in all a very good carvery.

We had heard from our friends how good this restaurant was and went to see for ourselves. Great choice of menu and we enjoyed our main courses so much we had little room for dessert. However, Iris had overheard us mentioning our daughters birthday and came to our table singing and gave us a massive piece of strawberry cheesecake with candle etc. There was a warm friendly atmosphere throughout and our visit was a really enjoyable experience.

Haven't been here in a while as it was terribly expensive and very average last time we had been. Food was tasty, well presented & staff were really friendly. They have a specials menu a few nights of the week and you can get two courses for around £12 which is fantastic. Went with friends and would definitely return.

Love this place for a great feed. Always friendly. If you go in hungary you will not be saying that when you leave. Good range of dishes, always piping hot.

My Husband and I just had a meal here it's our wee local! Fabulous food fabulous staff. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Iris and staff are fabulous. Will not disappoint and you will never go home hungry 😀

Stopped here after doing some shopping in Cookstown . The young lady Claire that greeted us and showed us to our table was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent and really good portions. I would recommend to anyone that would like a tea out pay this place a visit and the prices are very reasonable .

Have eaten here on regular occasions or just popped in for a couple drinks in the public bar. The food and service has always been excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive. Be warned, portions are generous so make sure you are hungry!!

I am in the Braeside quite regular whether it be with friends or with my boyfriend and it has never been a let down! At all times the food is excellent the staff can't do enough for you and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. The Braeside is a real hidden gem and in my opinion not enough people know about it! Highly highly recommend!

I viseted the Braeside with my family and extended family for our Sunday lunch. The atmosphere there is a little crisp but the prople are warm and welcoming. The buffet was very good. The cold table had something for eveyone, including the vegetarians. The hot roade was a choice of four Lamb, Beef, Turkey and Ham or all of them whatever was your choice, along with all the trimings and vegetables you can eat. The desserts were equally nice and very well presented.

Food is fabulous.. Excellent value .. Great service.. Gorgeous cocktails... IF your looking for delicious food in beautiful surroundings... Give the Braeside a call...

This is easily the best Sunday Carvery in the area. The quality and variety of offering from starters through main course to desserts is simply wonderful. The starters include a variety of salads & fruit, home made Couscous, freshly cooked salmon, prawns, pate, chicken wings, cocktail sausages, sesame prawn toast, ribs etc. etc. The main carvery meats are freshly cooked to perfection and accompanied by a good selection of potatoes and vegetables.

Very good food, much prefer the upstairs restaurant than the bar downstairs, although the food is good in either.
