We’ve been coming here for years, but last time we went was very disappointing the atmosphere was dull, no background music like it used to have, the food was below average we ordered steak sizzlers with pepper sauce but the sauce tasted like mushroom not pepper the sizzling skillet was hardly sizzling, shame because we won’t be rushing back any time soon 😡

Very tasty fayre and at a reasonable price. I thought it would be just basic pub food but was more than that. It was very quiet which is why the atmosphere was only ⭐⭐⭐ but it was a Tuesday evening.

Visited today 5/4/24 after hearing the pub had been taken over again (month ago) When I arrived I was made to feel welcome. It wasn't very busy, but there was a nice atmosphere. Bar person was polite and friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger, as a regular previously that was always my go to meal. And today it didn't disappoint, the burger was nice and juicy, chips were well seasoned, onion rings good, prefer a normal bun to brioche but doesn't matter. Would be nice for a bit of homemade coleslaw on the side but other than it was spot on. Look forward to visiting again in near future.

Visited 04.02.2024 - It was clear the team here were quite inexperienced, the man at the bar, who I assume was the manager, wasn't sure of the table numbers and the waitress herself, while polite, would benefit from some mentoring from a more experienced server. She was clearly getting to grips with both the menu for food and drinks while learning how to do the job which from experience is not easy and interactions felt impersonal and forced. The manager at the bar initially seemed disinterested but when we paid was ok. We were put in the back room, which seemed to be a typical pub function room, large room, big windows, and some nice features the decor was tired, dated and dark. While we were there we were one of two tables so the room lacked any atmosphere and was overall drab. The food was truly disappointing we'd heard good things about the Bradford Arms but this was a first visit and the food was worse than a Toby Carvery. Yorkshire puddings were flat, parsnips were still hard and had no colour to them, the stuffing was gooey, the gravy was watery, the carrots looked like they were the pre-diced freezer bags. I had beef and turkey and the beef was dry, I assume had not been cut in a while and had dried out under the heat lamp. The turkey was low quality and the texture was like that of reformed sandwich chicken but thickly sliced. I usually have to stop myself eating more at a carvery to avoid being over-full but here I stopped because the food was bland and the textures unusual. I wouldn't consider myself snobby when it comes to food, especially sunday roasts, but the poor food together with the rest of the experience means I won't be returning unless changes are made and there are far better options for sunday roasts just within Wheaton Aston. The only reason this is 2* instead of 1* is due to them only just opening and the clear inexperience so I'vew given them the benefit of the doubt.

Disappointing Experience Under New Ownership I recently visited Bradford Arms after its change in ownership, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The lack of expertise from the new management was evident in various aspects, ranging from service to overall ambiance. The staff seemed ill-equipped to handle the demands of a not busy evening at all, leading to slow service and a general sense of disorganization. Moreover, the changes made to the menu were not for the better. And the new offerings lack the finesse and flavor that used to make Bradford Arms a standout choice. In conclusion, the recent transition in ownership has unfortunately led to a decline in the overall experience at Bradford Arms. The establishment now exudes an unwelcoming vibe, with dirty and dark surroundings that are far from appealing. The unpleasant odor only added to the discomfort. The lack of courtesy and professionalism from "the team" significantly detracted from what used to be an enjoyable experience. I hope these concerns are addressed promptly, as I believe improvements are crucial for maintaining the reputation that Bradford Arms once held.

Been coming here for 5 years and always enjoyed it........TONIGHT HOWEVER different story...... when we arrived it was as busy as usual or so I thought... waited to order drinks and realised the bar man was just stressed and couldnt handle the 2 drinks he was asked for from the women in front...after hearing him say NO wine available to the people in front I laughed to myself and said bad management.... Then when I got to the bar and asked for my drinks it was like I was asking for the world...rolled his eyes after I asked for a water amongst other drinks, then mid asking him for a guiness and black he rudely turned to a young waitress and bellowed I don't care where you sit them, they're only in a two (waitress was looking for guidance) I knew it wasnt going to be great from there out. We sat down eventually after trying 4 chairs as the majority were broken and just automatically got up to visit the carvery and was told we had to be waited on first....we was told to only go up in small groups as the chef (new manager) couldn't handle massive groups of people. Now.... I have NEVER EVER been spoken to the way the manager spoke to us.... I asked for a different yorkshire pudding for my son as it looked like a pancake and he muttered under his breath (well it was the first one I grabbed out) he then continued to drop all the meat and was just unpleasant and gave off terrible vibes.... my partner asked for the end of the Pork off a new joint to which he replied NO I'M USING THIS ONE UP FIRST. And then ny sister in law asked for the fatty bits of beef and burnt ends (which we love) and he got defensive over saying its NOT FATTY and NOT BURNT....Well I'd had enough and didn't even have my meal and neither did my son and the majority of the party disliked their meals. Just as a finisher when I asked for a vodka and lemonade I was told it was sold out and that grey goose was too expensive for me... making me feel like I couldn't have a premium drink.....1000000% WILL NOT BE RETUNRING. Gone to absolute pot, MANAGER SHOULD BE ASHAMED.....

Was looking forward to trying somewhere different. In all honesty it felt hurried. Offered drinks on arrival, I ordered Sauvignon and I didn’t get Sauvignon. Sauvignon has a distinct taste. This was some cheap white plonk but definitely not Sauvignon. I had vegetable biryani - it was mainly a dressed outer salad of lettuce with a bit of biryani in the centre. My guest had one of those bright read offerings pertaining to be tandoori or similar. It wasn’t great, we were hurried, the food was mediocre and the wine was dire Would I hurry back? No.
