The Bothy Shipley in Bradford

Una encantadora cafetería con un menú a un precio muy razonable. Mi amigo y yo tomamos la sopa de patata y puerro con un rollo. Fue muy buena relación calidad-precio y nos llenó. El Bothy definitivamente vale la pena una visita para cualquiera, que se encuentra en Shipley y en busca de una comida a un precio razonable.

Qué acogedor café bistró esto es. Si nos apetece un buen café este es el primer lugar que visitamos. Tom siempre es acogedor y no puede hacer lo suficiente por ti, y luego conoces a su madre que también trabaja aquí y sabes exactamente de dónde obtiene su personalidad. Ella es tan acogedor. Los pasteles caseros siempre son deliciosos y debes probar las sopas. Todo esto es una parada de café muy agradable. Inténtalo. No te decepcionará.

Esperé 40 minutos para que llegara la comida y esto fue después de que sirvieron comida del desayuno a otras 3 mesas que entran y piden después de nosotros. La comida finalmente llegó y la salchicha había sido cremada y había una gran cantidad de aceite nadando alrededor del plato. Se dio un reembolso completo, pero la parte delantera del chico de la casa claramente no podía entender cuál era el problema. Habla mucho realmente, evita a toda costa

Un lugar realmente encantador. Excelente relación calidad-precio; me dieron un sándwich de ensalada de queso, que recomendaría encarecidamente - muy bien relleno y delicioso - por £ 3. 50 . Me llevé, pero habría sido bueno haber comido en también!

Passed this place many times, called in today , it was very busy totally appreciate everything is made to order but waiting 45 minutes to get a breakfast is too long , there were periods of time when no food came out. Many diners were chasing their food. The food when it came was good but the service is too slow . Very disappointing

Had a lovely breakfast with our family. The quality of the food and cooking was great, also a massive pot of tea that lasted for ages. The prices are not really that high, as others have eluded to, especially compared to other similar cafe, bars, but Shipley is better known for it's cheap and cheerful character...(Wetherspoons etc...) so some may perceive the Bothy being better situated somewhere like Saltaire or Otley, or similar. The only thing holding me back from awarding a resounding 5 Stars is the very long wait from arriving to getting our food. It was over an hour on our recent visit, also 45 minutes on a previous visit when it wasn't overly busy. Would this put me off visiting regularly? Yes it probably would, but other than this...Top marks

Great full English type breakfasts - quality ingredients, cooked to taste and piping hot with lovely service too. And other things looked delicious with some nice imaginative offerings as well as old favourites.

Called here for the first time, this morning, and very impressed. The place was quiet, and the Gentleman behind the counter, was very helpful, we decided on a "snacky" breakfast, which is freshly cooked, not kept warm under lights. My wife had poached eggs, on toast, with a couple of extras, and the food was plentiful, I had a sausage bun, which again was very filling. The coffees were also first class. The place is very clean, and roomy. We enquired about our disabled son, being able to access, the place, and we were given assurances that they would be only too willing to help on that score. A very refreshing attitude. The menu appears to cater for most tastes & diets. For what we had today, I felt it was good value, & we will undoubtedly return soon.

Came for a quick meetup with family as I was there for the day. We had lunch and altho I felt we waited a long time,when it came it was so worth it. Generous portions and well presented. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend. One of the few places I would recommend!

Called at the weekend with family, including our dog. Great to see dog friendly places and I'm sure my pooch was very grateful for the freshly made canine biscuits and bowl of water on the way in 😀 Nice food as always, mushrooms cooked perfectly 🙂

Staggeringly expensive breakfast, I didn’t take much notice at the time of paying but just seen in excess of £12 for a basic English breakfast with toast and a flat white! Now, it was ok, apart from the poached eggs overcooked to golf balls and the bacon murdered, the coffee was good, but overall not over 12 quid good. Sorry but it’s a no from me in future, after all they’re on a main road in shipley not Mayfair

Excellent veggie breakfast, with their own very good veggie sausages and hash brown. Lovely coffee. A step up from the usual.

Well I wish I lived closer to the absolute gem. The food is gorgeous and the staff were just fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. Well done Team xx

Hadn't even realised this place existed but glad I have now found. Really high quality breakfast with proper butchers sausages & bacon, homemade hash browns and a choice of eggs how you want cooking. Coffee was excellent too! High quality comes with a higher price tag than all the other cafes around but its great value for the quality.

Had the veggy breakfast. Food was swimming in oil, sausages were undercooked. Dirty plates were still on our table when we left, and we didn't leave straight away. Appalling service and the food was deeply ordinary. I'm looking at the positive reviews wondering what we did wrong, was it a fill-in staff? No intention of visiting again so won't be finding out.

Wonderful cooked to order breakfast with generous portions of delicious food with hash brown to die for! Friendly helpful service. Better than I could do at home and fab coffees to follow.

It is a sweet cafe. It has a really nice milkshake selection. And the scrabble eggs were incredible. I also give it 5 stars because it is also dog friendly and I love dogs and I’m happy to see them in the cafe. It is an amazing idea and I think it should keep going for decades and I’m exited to go there another time. From Mollie (age 10), my family and my happy dog.

We have visited this gem of a cafe ever since we moved to Shipley. The food is delicious. And always made to feel welcome. Their breakfasts are always prepared once one has ordered, it comes out lovely and hot. Love their coconut stew with vegetables. And the cafe is always so clean. Tom and his staff are so welcoming and helpful. Good value for money and good portions.

Visited in January with a friend it's a lovely cafe with delicious food and reasonably priced. I ordered mushrooms on toast with eggs and bacon.

Lovely fresh homemade food, interesting menu. Tom clearly has a passion for flavour! Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Panini's were very tasty, homemade cranberry & ginger relish was delicious with brie & bacon. The breakfasts looked great too, that'll be on the next visit....

I went into the Bothy by chance today as I was in Shipley. I ordered the special which was home made soup, homemade sausage roll and homemade croutons, along with a coffee. I have to say the soup and sausage roll were top notch really...

Great food, very reasonable prices, filling portions, great service, friendly owner (Tom). Plus free book exchange and cosy decor. Had very tasty soup and mega good stew and Bothy breakfast (all day). And dog friendly and very Covid secure. Will be back

I recently joined a friend here for a take-away coffee. Excellent, friendly service. The coffee and home-made brownies were delicious. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in the area.

Hadn't had a decent coffee for a while, certainly have now! These were top notch! 2 perfect cappuccino's with a nice little square of brownie on the lid to take away - definitely one to return too!
