Very nice cafe with friendly staff, and a lovely outside seating area. Varied menu to choose from.

Lovely sandwich, good strong coffee and an amazing coffee cake. Service was great, would definitely come back.

Lovely visit to The Bothy Cafe at Auchincruive this morning for breakfast. So glad to be able to use their latest addition of the covered outside seating area..... its fabulous. Our whole family and all our dogs use this super establishment, everytime we visit the staff are always super friendly, also always welcome our dogs and happy to chat. Great food and absolutely worth a visit, so nice to sit outside in nature. It's a 10 from maisie.

This is a lovely place to visit . With lovely calming gardens to view as you sit outside ...This is a special place originated for helping recovering alcoholics and those with Drug addictions . The staff are very nice helpful and cheery .. The food was very good and staff were prompt with service . Would highly recommend a visit . Based in the grounds of Auchencruive River Gardens . Still a work in progress expanding seating outside . Inside clean and cosy . We went for a walk in gardens after lunch .. It is good to know that people with Addictions are having this support

Cafe was lovely and bright, the counter was well set up and a varied menu. The food was very well presented and tasty. It was well priced and we would certainly return.

Great spot to have a break whilst walking the are river north from Ayr.Dog friendly and food and service excellent.Plus reasonably priced.Run by a charity to support people on hard times.Your support is needed🙏.

Love this place, wish more vegan options, would definitely visit more, soup is amazing comes with a sourdough Roll or you can have a soup sandwich combo deal. The staff are lovely and very friendly. X

Enjoy going to the Bothy Cafe the volunteers who work there do such a good job and they are so helpful and friendly. Home baking is lovely as well.

Fantastic food, loved the lentil soup, good choice for all people in our group including kids, vegetarians etc. Lovely coffee and great selection of cakes. Service with a smile and pet friendly with outside marquee too. Can even tie up the horse and get a cuppa and carrot!!

Excellent venue set amongst a gorgeous garden and rural location. Great place for a munch and a coffee.

Lovely sandwiches and soup combo, hard to see bye the Reubens sandwich, GF options available. Lovely walks up and down the river, before or after. Great for dog walkers, covered outside area for owners.

What a lovely place to visit after walking in the beautiful grounds. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Friendly atmosphere too.

Good food at reasonable prices. Access a bit of a problem due to ongoing building work.

So glad to have discovered this place set in beautiful surroundings. Lovely tea room selling good wholesome homemade soup with their own produce. You can purchase vegetables & there is an honesty box. Volunteers work here & people in recovery are being helped so that's a good thing. Also nice river walk or places for picnics. Parking at top of road with disabled parking match closer. Oh & a good amount of outdoor seating a very old Victorian glass house is also there with hope of getting funds to fix it

Beautiful setting and amazing enterprise. Sat in the garden surrounded by the tranquility of nature and enjoyed an extremely tasty sandwich and delightful coffee. Service was excellent and plenty of room for doggos if you have one:)

First visit on Friday, certainly won’t be the last. Very friendly and helpful member of office staff showed us to the cafe. Food was lovely , delicious gluten free cake, friendly staff, great coffee and a beautiful setting . Can’t believe we haven’t visited before . Can’t wait to go back .

This Is the 3rd time I have visited in 2 weeks as we regularly take out walking groups as part of our support job today we met Frankie who was very welcoming. He invited our group and colleague on a tour around the project which was very interesting and and great to see a very worthy project developing and supporting and helping others Thank you Frankie The cafe is also top notch

Lovely cafe and staff however I got the pancakes and they were as dry as dust. I couldnt even swallow them without a drink of coffee amd they didnt come with any butter on them (or with them I had to ask for it) which made them even drier. Partner got a bacon roll and he said it was nice. Coffee was fine.

Cute wee cafe. Recently decorated inside in a simple, tasteful, minimal and modern style. Friendly staff. A small, carefully chosen menu of mainly sandwiches and soup. Only a few options, but all of them good. The vegetarian options are clearly marked and obviously had some thought put into them instead of, as they so often are, an afterthought. I had a portobello mushroom and harissa hummus sandwich, which I struggled to finish as it was really rather hearty. The place was almost full inside when I visited shortly after midday on a Thursday, although there is plenty of outside seating for days with good weather. The river garden to which the cafe is attached is small, but pleasant and it contains some impressive trees. However, those seeking a longer stroll can easily walk down to the river Ayr and follow the path in either direction. This really is a lovely bit of the country to wander around in. There are grand plans to restore and use the old neglected Victorian era greenhouses, so I look forward to seeing the place again in a year or two. I really enjoyed my visit here. The only bad things I have to say are that my mushroom was a bit too salty and my coffee was burnt. A pinch less salt and a smidge more barista training and this wee cafe would be impossible to fault.

Lovely little gem out of the way ,absolutely spotless.

Popped in with kids for a cuppa, scone, orange juice and glass of milk. Lovely setting, seating inside and outside. Walk along the river is great and made even better knowing there is a cafe. If you are in the area I would recommend stopping in the café.

Stop in at the Bothy often for a coffee and bite to eat while out walking at Auchincruive. Always a lovely atmosphere and nice staff.

Food was ok, Gluten free Scone wasn't very nice, and quite pricey for portion sizes

Popped in to do some work on my laptop and got a bowl of Borscht (beetroot soup) and some lovely fresh sourdough along with a coffee with oat milk. A lovely little cafe with a friendly atmosphere and very tasty food! All the staff do a great job and are a credit to the River Garden bothy cafe. It is also very dog friendly and you can go home with freshly grown vegetables for a small donation. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Lovely relaxed place with choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Excellent, freshly made food and all part of a great social project.

First time visit loved the avocado salad, friendly atmosphere wish more variety in the menu, Godwelling will come back

We had an excellent lunch here - just stumbled across it and we will definitely be back. The kitchen had run out of gluten free bread so the chef made a lovely salad for me. Friendly staff, good service, salad leaves grown in their own garden. Would highly recommend. And excellent gluten free cake!
