The Boot Inn - JD Wetherspoon in Burnley

One of the best pubs in Burnley. Good selection of drinks across the bar, like all Spoons. Friendly staff and quick service. Usually got a few people in. A good place to go meet for a pint with friends or a quiet beer solo. Need to get some outdoor heaters in the beer garden!

Cheap coffee deal is great value for money

Went in for breakfast as we usually do on Saturday. Egg was barely cooked and meal delivered aired on a cold plate. Only one of the 2 coffee machines working despite the staff being informed. Coffee was at room temperature. Complained to the staff who couldn't care less. New venue for breakfast required.

Had a nice meal, prompt n tasty food and service. Drinks were very good. Pint of flat cap nice 🤓will go again when in Burnley.

Unfortunately, one of the spoons that doesn't have music, the food is not great at all, the tables are dirty and most of the staff are rude, very abrupt, I understand the general public can be nasty sometimes, but please at least say hello the those of us that are nice, and say hi and stuff.

This is your typical Wetherspoons pub always busy especially on matchdays. Friendly staff. Good range of real ales and one of the top 20 Wethers pubs for real ale sales. Regular Meet The Brewer sessions.

Weatherapoons generally is what it is and that's great. We love a good spoons. Unfortunately on the day we visited it was a match day ... Again completely understandable and no problem with it being busy but there was no consideration for people visiting who are not part of the football clan. Anyone visiting with a pram or wheelchair. I am sure the way people were moving chairs around and blocking walk ways would not be considered as meeting health and safety or fire requirements. Not safe for the staff to get around with plates of hot food and an absolute nightmare who for people like ourselves visiting with a small child.

The bar man was rude as my daughter clearly older than 19 didn’t have id and proceeded to say what did you say and started with her , then the food cake and they purposely didn’t coke the steak it was still mooing , and they was all looking and talking about us and we felt so uncomfortable, I want that guy sacked he’s rude

A standard weatherspoons. Nothing overly special

Had fish and chips and a couple of pints, and it was pretty good..

Came with a friend for breakfast very disappointed waited 45 minutes and when breakfast arrived wasnt very warm in fact the beans were cold asked for the food to just be warmed through and came out cold again obviously regular temperature checks of food are not being done correctly so a refund was requested and given felt for the server who was extremely apologetic and offered to make me and my friend a complementary breakfast but unfortunately being a chef myself the lack of temperature checks are worrying

Came for a few drinks with my husband, brother in-law and his wife. Service was excellent, especially the lady with blond hair who came round selling raffle tickets but will the staff were great. We ordered two vegan sausage, chips and beans, a vegan Beyond fiesta burger and chicken curry. The food was excellent especially for the price, we could not fault our visit...will definitely revisit.

Only 1 stabbing tonight, but great food. Love by the food or die by the knife. It's the motto the seal, says outside The townhall. Very cool

You know what your getting at any wetherspoons no matter which town it's in, which is quite comforting. The food Is served quickly and hot, the staff are always busy but do look like they enjoy their job. My only criticism is you need to clean the menus daily, sticky and full of food.

Got the Korean chicken and by the time I got halfway down the bottom half was cold, I chased this up with staff who claimed the sauce is put in cold so will make everything cold, refused to replace stating over half was eaten. Another member of staff came to the table and asked if everything ok but didn't really do anything about refunding or exchanging. However they did say they would microwave the chips with the sauce on, really?? Not the service we expect.

This is a good Weatherspoons in the centre of Burnley Staff polite a good range of handpump beers on offer Good friendly clientele on my visit, not football day, though All beers on sale are competively priced Food was also well presented Sunday 18th August 2024 Today, I revisited this Burnley town centre, Weatherspoons This great locals pub had a great choice of guest real ales on offer. The pub has a large open plan room with a beer garden at its rear. The place has a calm, peaceful atmosphere inside and the staff were helpfull and knew there jobs Keep up the good work all involved with this pub

If you like the cheap pub vibe then here you go. I usually love wetherspoons but this one is poorly lit, old dark decor, filthy floor, ran out of pizza, ran out of ketchup, spilled my drink on the way over, but the food they did have was ok

It is a shame that you have to stand behind people who hold up their phone at the bar when they can order from the table, And I prefer the ones that have a qué system.

Not going to lie it's actually one of the better wetherspoons, and the beer garden is huge! It's always my go to place for food and drinks in Burnley

I have been a regular customer but sadly I think today's visit will be my last. I joined a queue of seven others to be served by a single bar-person and yes I have been in this situation too many times. Why oh why have a large pub with one person serving? I left and had wonderful service in a competitors establishment.

Dreadful place. Inhabitants are all the local alcoholics which make for a poor atmosphere. Won't be back

Well, it's JD Wetherspoon, so you know what it is, McDonald's concept pubs...

I mean, it's a Spoon's, you don't expect to be treated like royalty.. Had lunch here today with my 19yr old daughter. She ordered half a cider with her meal, via the app. Waiter brought it over, asked for her ID, and she realised with dismay that she didn't have it on her. Fair enough, no ID, no cider, her fault. She apologised. We expected that she wouldn't get the drink, but we didn't expect the waiter to mutely shoot her a filthy look, snatch the drink and flounce away extravagantly. Wow. She then found that she had a photo of her driving licence in her phone, so I took it over to flouncy pants on the off chance that he might accept it, just to be hissed at and told it was against the law and I wasn't going to get a refund. I didn't ask for a refund. I get it, you can't serve a drink without ID, but was there really the need for the rudeness and histrionics over a simple mistake? He then spent our time there flouncing past our table, shooting snarky looks. Fortunately my daughter had her back to him and didn't see. No need. Grow up. Go get a job in IT, where you don't have to talk to people.

Great value for money, lovely and spacious rear garden, kids friendly, nice atmosphere. Food was ok - particularly impressed with the warm cookie sandwich.

Good food and well priced drinks. The pub fills up fast so sometimes getting a table or a seat can be difficult. The only thing I have found a problem is that they often don't have enough staff working for the number of customers.

Busy town centre Wetherspoons. Real ales are kept better than most with a decent selection. The added bonus is that the toilets are on the ground floor.

Great for a drop in , it's probably the best pub in the town centre, the food is always good and service usually good. I always go for sharing picky food, but I have also had regular meals and they have been good. Worth a look in.

Sticky toffee sundaes are lovely from here.

Mad busy ...as Burnley home game ..😳 Venue was uncomfortable due to number of people

One of the 'pubby' Wetherspoons, so dark decor and not much lighting, but pleasant enough and pretty good hand pulled beer. Nicer atmosphere than I expected from a pub bang in the middle of Burnley town centre. Unusually small and non-descript toilets for a Spoons. Worth a visit overall.

The service here was speedy and our food and drink were served very quickly, the staff were also very friendly. Nice atmosphere inside with that classic old Wetherspoons vibe and a good clientele. Food was slightly below average for a Wetherspoons, had the classic American cheese burger. The buns were dry and so was the meat but everything else was sound.

Pretty nice for a Wetherspoons — I remember a bunch of lads who had come in during something of a sesh, and were shouting John Cena repeatedly whilst pretending to wrestle — it was well funny but the staff got rid of them quickly 😂😂

Not far from turn Moor if your going to watch a game.

A very nice interior and exterior at this particular Wetherspoon's. I had the five bean chilli jacket potato either a side of coleslaw and a very good real ale for 9.40£. It was good to see two real fires and some relevant historical photos of the locality on the walls. Large well-lit rear beer garden. Well worth a visit.

First time I've experienced a bad breakfast. Came cold. Was taken away and heated in the microwave so when they brought it back, the toast was soggy and eggs were like rubber. Beans still not hot enough

You know what you're going to get, but a breakfast for £5 served within about 10 mins. Can't beat that!

Large Wetherspoon’s pub in Burnley town centre. Eight cask beers on handpump when I visited. Lots of outdoor seating in the sunny beer garden to the rear some of it covered. Good value traditional English breakfast as ever in this pub chain.

I have been here several times so it was not unusual for me to return last night. I had the chicken strip basket meal and ever since I have been desperately unwell. The chips were fine however the chicken was grey and miserable. I barely ate any as it was that bad which I’m grateful for as I probably would be in a worse condition. I am a lover of the Spoons but I definitely will not have this meal - or any meat produce - here again. I think I will stick to the pancakes!!
