Firstly congratulations on the win, BUT again trouble with delivery. Ordered at 6.20pm, was told 1 hr 10. Which is fine . Phoned again at 7.50, was told out for delivery , and had left 5 minutes away, only two orders to deliver…. 8.00 still nothing, rang again, told was on way … This time when I rang, I was told the driver was outside my house, went out not there…then told he was at my door…nope I have ring door bell and three dogs , again a lie. Then after insisting I talk to the manager, I am told the driver is near by, but could not tell me when the food left the restaurant….eventually found the driver and flagged him down. Was told the food left 15 minutes ago… it was now 8.30pm !! 2 hrs and 10 minutes late…. Suggestion employ more drivers, or don’t quote times which are not achievable or don’t lie when you have no idea where the driver is. The most unforgettable thing was when we phoned to chase food, the answer phone kicked in, which suggests the restaurant is understaffed. I left one message and tried again and again to find out where the food was …IT WAS IN NEED OF THE MICROWAVE….. summary ….food 2hrs 10 minutes from order, unable to get hold of staff, given false information from first man on phone, then when it did arrive ….needed the microwave, which suggests either been in the car a long time OR sat on the side in the restaurant waiting to go out… Not good enough Bombay , must do better

So put a 5 star review last night while they was litreally stairing at my phone screen putting it down today as I feel like as a customer it should be at my discretion to decide if I want to review a restaurant or not. Food wise it is very nice

Booked a few weeks ago for my daughter’s birthday , arrived on time at 7pm, a party of 7 , shoved in a corner so crammed , table not laid , cutlery slung in a pile in the middle of the table . Had dropped off some balloons earlier with birthday cake , the balloons were still in the bag on a chair , ruined the surprise for my daughter. Took ages to order , had to go and ask to order more drinks . When the food eventually arrived some dishes were missing , no apology, they bought them 15 minutes later . Had to ask 3 times for the cake and 4 times for the bill as it was now 10pm . Appreciate it was a Saturday, but way overbooked. Seems like they are a victim of their own success , the food is lovely but service would have been better in a roadside cafe . And they charged 10% service charge . Definitely will not be going back !!

Place is run by idiots. You book a table in advance and you still cannot get a table .A single table left empty for a table for 8 apparently even though quite clearly only sits 4. This is not the first time either, will never bother again.

Booked a table for 7.30pm on the Saturday. The place was heaving and clearly wasn’t geared up to cater for all the diners. We left after sitting for 20 mins without even being offered a drink and the table next to us had waited 1 hour just for their starters. Very disappointing as past experiences were good but should not take bookings for so many people if they cannot cope.

Embarrassing service, booked a table days before. Got there, no tables available, rude staff AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They didn’t care that we’d booked a table.

Love this restaurant. We have been coming for 30 years and can’t fault it. The food is excellent. Service is very good. Friendly staff. Will always try and fit you in. We don’t live in the area but travel. Always busy so that tells you all you need to know. Best curry house. Raheem, friendly and funny.

2nd visit, first visit was fantastic back in December, last night's visit left us feeling we should have stayed at home. Very slow service and I am sorry to say the food was not that special either. Probably won't go back.

Saw the great reviews and decided to give it a try. Service was great - v friendly and takeaway ready on time. Was really disappointed with the food. Bland biryani, bland madras and bag was swimming in oil. Meat was ok but was really disappointed.

We have been eating in the Bombay for many years. The food is always 10/10, they have a a great menu and we are yet to try a dish that we haven’t liked, everything is delicious. Our family is a mix of meat eaters and vegetarians and there is something for everyone. Ali has been welcoming us to the Bombay since our first visit and he always makes sure our evening is special. I would highly recommend The Bombay!
