I had the full breakfast, my wife scrambled eggs on toast and we both had flat white coffees, all of which was delicious. The staff were lovely and the prices reasonable. Great view overlooking the Boating Lake

Visited this cafe yesterday, we both had a cooked breakfast. 2 teas. The bacon was dry and hard, not cooked fresh. the rest of it was ok. Not the best breakfast we have had but reasonable. 2 hours later I had diarrhea. My wife 30 mins later. Obvious a food or cleanliness contamination. Won't be going here again. Be prepared if there's a queue for the toilet........

Called here on a visit to Redcar, a cold and windy morning but a warm, friendly welcome with our two dogs. Very friendly staff, found us a table inside and the coffee was hot and very tasty, the food we had was very good and other customers looked to be happy with the breakfasts they were all easting.

We parked at the other end of Redcar for a change, and fell across this little gem! We had our daily constitutional and on the return leg found the Boating Lake Tearooms. What a joy, dog friendly, wheelchair accessible. Everything you want and need in 1 place. We both had a cappuccino and very good it was too. We looked at the menu, but due to a shortage of funds, we had to give it a miss! ( I had loose change in my pocket, my wallet was 6 miles away. My wife is like the Queeen she never carries money.) The service by the young team was excellent, greeted on entry, order taken swiftly and with a smile. The coffee’s came in a couple of minutes. The building is surprisingly roomy, nice decor and views across the boating lake. (Unfortunately drained, but they have no control over that!) A big suprise, the price you pay is less than stated on the menu! We will definitely going again.

We called in for a mid-afternoon break while walking the length of the sea front. It's a great place for a refreshing cuppa and a light nibble. I think the building used to be the boathouse for the adjacent boating lake. Good service, nice atmosphere, good food at sensible prices. What's not to like?

We visited here on our walk along the beach. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. We had two dogs with us which they also allowed and even had treats and water for them. Lovely teapots with a tea cosy and china tea cups. Cakes and scones etc. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely quaint tea room, spotlessly clean and a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I love the little touches like the hand knitted character tea pot covers. Good quality reasonably priced fresh food served up on vintage plates. Just what Redcar needs to bring the boating lake area back to life. I couldn't fault it.

Been meaning to go here for a while and ended up here today after watching friends at the Redcar Triathlon. Fabulous little dog friendly cafe. Great prices and lovely staff. Got some dandelion & burdock cake to bring home which is lovely. Will definitely be back especially in the winter during our freezing dog walks on the beach :)

It's great to see people trying to improve Redcar and I hope this and the boating lake are a real success. We had a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and the food and drinks we had were very good. It's nicely decorated and very clean. The finishing touch is all the individual tea cosies.

Stopped off after my dog walk to meet up with the other half. He had the money (I know!!!!) but that was no problem to the owner. A lovely pot of tea with a brilliant knitted octopus tea cosy and even treats for the dog. When the husband arrived he got a cute little cafetière with lovely coffee and I was offered a top up. The cakes looked gorgeous but definitely not on my diet . Really reasonable as well plus nice to sit and watch the boats which was lovely.

This new Cafe has been open from the beginning of 2016 and already has a great selection of Soups, Sandwiches, Scones and Cakes. It is very reasonably priced and the food is excellent. The Cafe is very quaint with a selection of Tea Cosies on show as well as other "old" items. Suggest you find out for yourself. Well done.

The Boating Lake Tea Rooms are a new venture that has already proved to be a local favourite. Serving traditional teas, coffees etc., with a superb selection of home produced baking. The Tea Rooms are decorated in themed areas and every aspect is quite unique.. even down to the hand made tea cosies etc.,

Lately Redcar has seen a number of new cafes opening and this little gem is hidden away from the town centre. As you arrive in Redcar the new Tuned In building dominates this renovated area. As a result of the restoration of the boating lake a little cafe was opened earlier this year. Time and care has been taken to make this once dilapidated building into a good place to go whilst the children enjoy a row on the lake. It's people and dog friendly so it's also a good place to take a break whilst on walkies. Take the time to enjoy some home made cake and have a cuppa. The cakes are first class and the coffee or tea good and hot. Keep your eyes open for the knitted tea cosies, made by the owner.

This is a great Dog friendly Tea Shop, but please don't let this put you off as every time we have visited and we are not dog owners, all the dogs inside were well behaved. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. It has a quirky but homely decor which is brilliant. It is bright, airy and very clean. If there is one thing to say it is "TRY THE CAKES".

Situated in the vintage pavilion at the side of the Boating Lake, this is a hidden gem. Delicious cakes, and bakes, serving Whittards Tea and Taylors coffee. The service is great, the decor is vintage with the most beautiful tea cosy collection! This tea room is also dog friendly, and perfect for that cuppa after a bracing walk along the beach. Good luck to Alison and all of the staff - I love this place!

We popped into the Boating Lake cafe on a Sunday and were very pleasantly surprised – the owners were lovely and welcoming, the decor was quirky and cute and the food was delicious! There were eight of us – four adults, two small children, and two dogs – and all were welcomed warmly. Useful note for dog owners: they are very dog-friendly, providing a bowl of water and offering free doggy treats even before taking our order! Despite busily preparing for a large party that was booked in for afternoon tea, the staff were friendly and attentive – extra plates for the kids etc were provided without even being asked for – and the food was lovely. The beef goulash soup was warming and tasty (though the portions could have been a bit larger) and the home-made cakes and scones were scrummy!

Called in for a tea and hot cross bun. First visit, very impressed. With it being the boathouse I thought it would have been a simple tea but, but inside it is well decorated, very clean and very friendly staff. China cups and mugs, tea pots with decorative cosies on and old style decor. Excellent, will call in again, recommended.

Recently visited this little bistro The service was very good and the food was well presented and excellent, the only reason it's not 5 stars is the draught beer was off so I had to have a bottle and also asked for a glass of malbec off the menu and there wasn't any, but would definitely visit again, so if your thinking of visiting please do .
