first time here , and wow , the place is so busy , and know i know why , the food was amazing and amazing value for money , meat 🥩 was amazing , and so much choice of fresh veg :) 11/10

Took my wife whilst on holiday, sadly made a grave mistake as my wife's meal was disgusting, won't be visiting again, waited whilst everyone else was served, even those seated after ourselves, very, very disappointed I have to say, certainly wouldn't recommend whatsoever!

Went in For the carvery at 3pm. Young women who served me was rude and unhelpful. All the other staff were lovely. Went to get my meal and was told I would have to wait has they didnt have everything ready.was not told this at time of ordering...20 mins later still waiting. Finally got served my meal (food was nice , selection available not very good.... carrots , potatoes (not mash) yorkies and very hard stuffing plus meat. Went up to get some more potatoes for my daughter and was told I could only go up once....bit strange for a carvery!!! A lovely young lady behind the bar came over and served me some more potatoes and gravy and apologised for my initial wait. Overall a nice place and may have just had bad luck with the staff member and wait time.

Went in today. Mainly customers 50+. A glass got smashed on our table. Two of us went to report it incase of a hazard. Bar people did nothing. Just asked "are you ordering anything?" Bar was busy, but not so busy as that no one could leave bar to clean. They were just lazy and uncaring

Been visiting Ingoldmells for 20 years and it was our first visit to the Boat house, the staff were so welcoming and chatty, service was brilliant and the food was gorgeous.

Great place with good views across the beach on a hot day. Good drinks too. Not too rowdy.

Breakfast was well worth the money very clean and cooked nicely would defiantly recommend

Friendly staff, delicious food, amazing prices. We walked in from the promenade and had a family meal here. There was something for everyone. 3 of us chose roast dinners, which were really tasty. Our 10 year old had minute steak with chips, and we asked for peas on the side. This was from the snacks and light meals menu and it was a substantial portion for him. All of this plus 4 non-alcoholic drinks was £30.30. Highly recommend!

A friendly beach front bar with karaoke and friendly staff.

Beer is the cheapest of anywhere nearby. The staff are excellent and the entertainment is first class. If you want a table you usually need to get there before 7pm though

Really nice pub, great atmosphere and great service. We come down to skeg every year and make the walk from chapel st Leonard’s to the boat house, the near 2hr walk is definitely worth it. 👍

I'll do the place a favour and review them and not some of their obnoxious customers who maybe haven't heard a baby cry or a Scottish accent in a while. Big brave men who waited until they thought my wife had left before having a good old moan and laugh(dont worry she got them told). Decent outside space, bit cluttered inside but the lady behind the bar was nice. Server's a little sharp so we felt more of an inconvenience than somebody spending our money trying to support the local businesses. I'm sure for the right family it's a good place to go but it most definitely wasn't for us.

Sunday roast is amazing won’t go anywhere else

Absolutely wonderful bar on the outskirts of skegnes,busy bar,very clean and helpful staff,food and drink prices are unbelievable compared to everywhere else in skegness and the quality is the best around by a long way,this week skegness has been like a ghost town but when you go into this place it's bustling with people,just shows that if your quality of food and drinks is top notch and your prices are great people will come A massive roast dinner for £6.50 and a pint of hand pulled real ale for £3. All other beers were around the same price as well,lots of other food available again at brilliant prices,the homemade sandwiches at dinner time for £2.20 were the best I've had for a LONG TIME. Thank you to all the staff keep up the great work

The price of the food was very acceptable and enjoyable basic food. The beer was a great pint and again the price was great. Would I go again absolutely, infact I will be there in July, thank you 😊.

Visited here for a carvery whilst at a weekend break at Butlins. Great pub, lovely attentive friendly staff, especially the man serving the carvery. Food was lovely and a good price. Would recommend to everybody. Great find for us 👍 😀

Absolutely amazing, we came as a group of 8 and were seated in about 10-15 minutes. Cannot fault the staff at all. The price of the carvery was around £8 which for the quality is so good, easily the best carvery I’ve had probably ever. We live up in the North East and plan on coming down again just for a carvery. Amazing. Keep it up!

Food is nice if you can get it... over an hour wait for breakfast and nearly 45 minutes for three coffees. No staff and no communication to customers around a wait on food or anything.

Over priced, got order wrong, waiting ages for food. Some things missing of plate and meal was just average.

Under cooked sausages, toast with no butter overpriced rubbish £50 for something that should of cost no more than £30, no drinks with the meals waited from ordering meals an finishing still no drinks after 45 minutes in the end had to get a refund, the place wasn't even that busy, save your money and go outside the park much much better, well disappointed 😔

Came here as on holiday at the site. Managed to find a table and asked for it to be cleaned in which waiter huffed n then sprayed the table over us. Then waited over a hour for over priced disgusting food. Had to ask where our order was and even though it was busy no one else was eating. Our food arrived freezing cold. My pregnant sister had food poisoning off her chicken tikka masala. £21,99 sirloin steak tasteless cold and inedible, mushrooms cold vile not cooked, chips repulsive, burger burnt and even the bun was black VILE shocking worst food we have had ! Avoid and go to McDonalds!

Absolutely vile!! The food was so greedy and tasted dirty!! I had the chicken burger with cheese and curly fries! Everything was just dripping in oil and I have now came away with a sore and upset tummy it was £28 for that meal and a lemonade!!!! Waste of money and I’m so happy j got a full refund or I would have sued never ever ever again please avoid at all cost and the staff are so so rude with vile attitude they are so slow and don’t care about they’re customers at all all they want is stop steal your money and give you a sore tummy

I waited 1hr for my food and it was cold at the time it came. Also the staff were mean to me when I brought a small puppy which it said they were pet friendly.😡

Our first time at south view holiday park, we went out for meals every night at the boathouse on-site and the meals are very tasty and worth the money. The chefs are brilliant at what they do and all the waiters/ waitresses were absolutely brilliant. I have to eat gluten free and they have meals for me and also vegan. We are planning on returning again next year.

Breakfast not good had a refund for mine.the rest of the family still waiting service was slow but staff were nice would not reccommend to eat here

Service was fine but didn't bother with food. Nearly £9 for anything that isn't on tap and came half filled no ice and Luke warm pretty sure it was a pre mix cocktail for the price I can't recommend enough going somewhere else.

The boathouse was the restaurant area of the southview park dean resort. The service and staff were good. The food did take long but the drinks came out very fast. The atmosphere was lovely with beautiful decor.

We were recommended to eat here The time to wait was 25 minutes T My food was steak and ale pie mash etc pie pastry wasn’t cooked properly and food was just warm my granddaughter had chilli which was cold I did try to get them sent back but couldn’t get hold of anyone So they are left with a bad review ( May I had it wasn’t overly busy and plenty of staff on ) so they are left with a bad review Expensive for what it was and the presentation Save your money and look elsewhere Service was low and a bit standoffish

Food was exceptional, service felt a bit slow for how empty it was but did feel worth the wait given the quality of the food, staff were very friendly. Only complaint is was fairly pricey, but that’s expected on a holiday site I suppose

Stopped by o a whim for lunch. Plenty of tables. Served very quickly by 2 friendly and efficient staff. Both had hot sandwich options which were cooked quickly and were extremely tasty. Would definitely eat here next time we stay

I wouldn't even rate it a one star. Its only cause I had to. Not enough high chairs so my child toneat her dinner in the pushchair. Was told food was a half hours wait ( 1:45 minutes later) still sat waiting. Terrible place. Will NOT be returning

Food is average but nothing that you can't get in weatherspoons. Very expensive and extremely slow coming out of the kitchen 1hr and 10mins to be excat. Was looking to buy a van here but i definitely will not be after the slow service.

First time visitors and after reading the reviews we were wary, however we couldn’t really fault the experience. Friendly staff, decent food and a nice environment. Only loses one star as the prices are a little on the high side but I guess that’s expected given its location. Would definitely visit again

Been here many a time and definitely gone down hill. The man that greeted us was lovely and the young man who brought our food to the table was great too. But that’s where the greatness stops. The menu was limited. Food was overpriced. Food arrived very quickly- too fast for it to have been freshly cooked. When the food arrived, it was cold. The kitchen staff were very unprofessional making silly noises for all to hear, messing around like teenage boys and generally being very annoying. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Had half chicken and chips, the chicken was like eating sand just a bit dry maybe try adding some seasoning to it as well 😁. Got a brownie after and was waiting a good 40 minutes, only to realise The kid taking the food out didn't notice our food waiting on the side, he was too busy blowing his hair out his face, and everyone will know who I'm talking about, dead trim 🤣. A bit hit and miss, my wife had the new peri-peri chicken flatbread which wasn't as good as it should have been for the price. The burger I had was nice but again a little pricey for what it was. Overall ok but over priced which I guess is to be expected due to the location.

When we walked in was told you can order on the app so we did ordered 4 breakfast waited over a hour and never told it was going to be an hour. When I asked how long she said you was told an hour when ordering which we wasn’t. 3 breakfast come without hash browns when I asked they said we have no hash browns, which again we should of been told. I asked to see the manager, knowbody come so I went up again, and the manager said did you see how busy we were, What do you want me to do. Not the answer I wanted as a paying customer. I replied you should keep your customers informed and talk to your staff. Won’t return poor service food ok.

Arrived here Monday so thought we would try this place, if you don't want anything fancy then basic food is OK, expect to wait ages if you order anything, tried the app thinking it would be quicker to order than standing in a long queue. Tried to reorder drinks through the app, football was on so didn't mind waiting, but an hour later still no drinks, wife went to the bar and asked, only to be told don't know how long they will be so she asked for a refund and we left, not been back since

Didn't want to give any stars but that was for the polite staff not the food, disgusting food cold not worth the money, been coming here for years always happy with food, but this year disgusting will never eat here again unless they change the way they do there menu, they shouldn't expect u to buy full child's breakfast, when my grandaughter only wanted scrambled egg and sausage.

Paid £13.99 for a Sunday roast it was missing the parsnips and stuffing the food looked like it had just been thrown on a plate the portion sizes were appalling and the whole place is covered in cobwebs

When we walked in there were dirty tables everywhere and not very busy so i couldn't understand why they hadn't been cleaned. We chose to sit outside at the back and ordered a fish finger sandwich and curly fries which was actually quite nice and a good size for the money but when I went to he bar we were told card only when I asked if it's always card only the barman told me no but he couldn't be bothered counting people's change from the arcade to pay for their food. We chose to have breakfast here on the last morning and was left disappointed again as the kids beans on toast was just dry beans on warm bread which I had to send back to be replaced and when my breakfast arrived it was all Luke warm and had been pre cooked and left in a warmer like a buffet breakfast which isn't what I expected for £8.95.

Nice lovely atmosphere and staff speedy and polite. The food was mediocre but extortionate! Chicken Tika masala and rice, 3 tiny slices of Nann bread, a dip and if they have it, crunchy slaw too for £13.49!!!

Horrible food, mashed tate's from the pouder, parsnips impossible to chew, staff has no idea of customer service, stroppy and mardy.

Been here for the weekend and all the staff have been fab!! But shout out to james on Sunday afternoon, what a guy very hands on, no waiting and super pleasent! Actually laughed so much at the bar with him..... pretty sure he undressed me with his eyes 😜🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😘

I don't usually do reviews but James and ady went out of their way on a busy Sunday lunch time to make sure everyone received 5*.service. very polite and welcoming. Great members of staff.

As usual on the last night of our holiday we went for a meal of Fish and Chips. However, no Cod or Haddock available only Pollock. As we haven't had this fish before we decided on Gammon and Chips , two meals £25:98. !! Surprisingly the meals arrived within 5 minutes, the gammon looked as if it had just been under the grill a very short time or had already been cooked and kept warm before serving. The restaurant wasn't busy, only one other family dining at 6pm. Really disappointing experience as the pub itself is really nice and an asset to Parkdean. There's a big seating area outside and a children's play area We visited 16th June 2022.

So i sat down. Looked around, initially the place looks clean, until you look around properly. Cob webs near tables and on top of booth ornaments along with dust. Dirty seats in places. Waitress came upto us asking what table number we were to serve food, perhaps she should know the layout considering she works there. Waiting on food but will be an edit update for that. At time of writing ive been waiting 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Was not greeted on arrival. Quite a sham to be honest especially when theyre on a park dean site kinda lets the brand down. Better to go butlins in my opinion its cleaner and theres a hella lot more to do. Edit: food arrived aftrr about 20 mins but is really greasy and found that all serces have no clue what theyre doing. Had missing items. Wont be coming here again. Its really let the park dean experience down.

An hour wait on 4 breakfasts and 3 lots of toast. A traditional breakfast wasn't even the size of a child's breakfast! 1 sausage, teaspoon of beans, 1 piece of bacon and a hash brown £6.99!! Burnt sausages on the other 2, burnt toast, delay between each breakfast brought out, forgotten jam that was ordered and I ordered scrambled Egg on granary toast. I received white burnt toast and half an egg nuked to a rubber consistency. Utterly appalling service. Got a sorry from a waitress but no offer of any refunds. Do not waste your money or time on this place. Such a shame because the rest of the resort is perfect! Also.. No avocado on toast or pancakes available so I made the choice to build your own breakfast to which the waiter replied he didn't know how to do it 👀

The worse meal we've ever had. £62 for a completely inedible meal. Took about 10 minutes to order drinks. Ordering via the app, was told it would take 30 mins. It took 5. And it was ice cold. Absolutely disgusting. Then after a long time the manager came over (Luke Sands, I believe) and offered us free drinks. For a £62 meal!? No thanks. Then, how about a free breakfast? Why on earth would we return there? And a £62 breakfast!? Again, no! After even longer we finally got a refund... Well, I say that, I got a £7.68 refund. For our desserts that never arrived!!! I've sent 5 emails now, demanding a refund without a single reply. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. It's like a few 16 year olds thought they could open a restaurant. Avoid 100%. Go into town and get a good hot meal for half the price. I'll be happy to amend my review if I ever get my full refund.

Terrible service the food is OK when you finally get it. You order on the app and they don't tell you if they've run out so we got a breakfast with no hashbrowns one morning. We decided to try an evening meal and it took 1hr 20mins to come to us after we ordered but no one told us it would be so long they didn't even look that busy and no apology.

Awful experience so firstly you have to use An app to order your food and drink which takes forever to do as there is very little signal and you have to Register to the onsite WIFI for it to work. Ordered a chicken tikka masala which was Disgusting but not only that but sat for over 1 hour waiting for the food definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to eat in this restaurant and as for the drinks they were very watery and the beer tasted stale.

Lovely food smells outside...god knows how because there's none when you get in. The food is overpriced & tastes bad. You get about half a mcd's portion of chips for £3 & it comes in what looks like a tiny cat bowl. The vast majority of the menu wasn't available & it was down to about 3 main meals when we were at the place. This is dissapointing as it was peak season & you'd expect them to have food available. I wouldn't visit again as it cost loads & didn't even fill me up.

So we know times have changed through Covid but the service here is horrendous. First you have to download an app to order your food that seems to take forever. So food and drinks ordered and 40 minutes later still no drink. You could see all the drinks piling up on the bar as the staff struggled to cope. When it did come it had lost its coldness( Coors) the mountain certainly wasnt blue lol.(complained to waiter who said we are busy and short staffed). Partner had bottle of cider that was plonked on table by young waitress. We had to ask for a glass and ice. Food came after an hour. Steak n Ale pie sounded nice on the menu. When it came it was luke warm and had around 5 pieces of meat in it. Onion rings were soggy and they forgot partners mushy peas.(she had scampi) Portion sizes were small too. Wont be coming back. It's not even busy. No apology from any member of staff for waiting time either. We were told you can only order via app yet customers were still going to bar and fetching their own drinks. This place has gone downhill rapidly. Dont bother going

Requires an app that you have to sign up for their on site WiFi in order to order food or drink, took ages to get it to work. Drinks were warm and watery. Horrifically expensive, nearly £20 for a steak. Didn't bother ordering food, because the people next to us said it was disgusting, and honestly, it looked it. Had one drink and left, so glad we didn't waste the money.

Absolutely amazing chicken and ribs, just fell off the bone and tasted superb. Proper onion rings too. Very impressed and happy, lovely meal in a nice environment with Covid friendly precautions.

Told had to download app before being able to order food and drink. After 15mins was only at 25 percent. Not prepared to wait for an hour to download app. Why isn't it table service like other pubs? There was plenty of staff around?

Staff were friendly and really doing their best. . However, they have Implemented an App as an ordering system to manage covid measures but it’s so chaotic, I really felt sorry for the staff. The app itself looks fine but it’s clunky to use and we ended up having our order taken by a waitress in the end , which defeats the point , there was quite a few items of the menu unavailable which we weren’t advised of , only once we’d ordered, so this took time with the waitresses going backwards and forwards and then when we eventually got our food our starters turned up with all of our mains, which we accepted and got on with but then we had to wait for at least 40 minutes maybe longer for our children’s desserts . To be fair they did give us a free round of drinks and kindly discounted our food order to compensate , so we put it down to them using a new system and as the food we’d had was really good we decided to try again for breakfast the next morning. They had no menus available , the app again was sluggish and then every time we selected and finalised our order it came up as breakfasts were unavailable, we tried for about half hour and decided not to ask for help as the staff looked very chaotic again , we gave up and went into Skegness to a cafe in the end. It was a shame as our friends had eaten there Pre Covid and they have said how decent the service And the food had been , it felt like the app had resulted in what would normally be competent staff , speeding around like headless chickens, it appeared there was little organisation. It all seemed so unnecessary for eating in the restaurant , at least the staff would be in control if they just ditched it.if you could book your meal and had waitress table service the experience would have been so much better and no riskier than what they are currently doing ?? It didn’t seem that it was just us either , there were many families that looked fed up and disappointed. I hope they manage to sort it out.

Been a few times while staying at southview very nice, unfortunately I won't be coming again after this visit, we obviously and understandably have to wear face coverings, but not one member of staff wore theirs correctly....they barely covered their mouths let alone the nose, had to order food on the app, fair enough but didn't expect it to be brought to the table literally as I received notification of my order, safe to say it was ready made!

Fabulous meal. Sixth time staying at Southview but never eaten at the boathouse until tonight for my sisters birthday. 5 adult meals, one child's meal, sides, drinks and starters and couldn't fault any of it. Service was super quick from bar staff and waiters, staff were also really friendly and couldn't be anymore helpful. Prices were also really reasonable for size of the meals. Ordered using the Parkdean Resort app which made it even easier to see what was available and what wasn't. 5/5

For a caravan site the food is reasonably priced and is pretty good for what you are paying I really enjoy the loaded fries..

I'm giving this restaurant a 3 star due to good covid regulations on cleaning, keeping families separated etc... But We had a 45 mins queue to get in to the restaurant (understandable) but with 4 kids ❌ once we had got to the front of the queue we were told to take a pic of what was not on the menu... Practically everything we were wanting...❌ Maybe they should have a staff member come out and tell us whilst outside so we could have had a choice where to eat...? Once in the restaurant one way system ✔️we had to open a tab and then stay seated ✔️... 😊 But then waited 25 mins for a member of staff to come to us and take our order ❌ drinks came straight away ✔️waited another 35 mins for our food to arrive ❌ kids pizza was more tomato than cheese, gammon was requested with no peas but came with peas a lot of peas in fact which I think they did to try and make up for the poor size of the 10oz gammon as it was like a slice of bacon ❌😩 we came for a week to southview and planned to eat there regularly but once was enough for us! An hour and 45 mins wait and nothing on the menu is not for us!
