Great atmosphere and staff cracking sunday dinner great value for money

1st time going in here was packed on a Saturday in September, we didn't have food but from looking at other people's plates it looked nice and fresh, will be going back in a few weeks to have a carvey, the views were lovley in there and the staff were friendly

Best pub in Skeg by far. No, make that the country. You simply won't find cheaper beer or food of this quality elsewhere. But most of all is how friendly everyone is. An absolute crime if the character of this wonderful place ever changes.

3 of us went for a Sunday Carvery and it was Outstanding. When I went up to fetch the Carverys the chef was perfect and the waitress I would like to thank so much she helped me bring the plates to the table outside. Also the price is reasonable as well and another point about the waitress she left the table with a smile and was thanked by all 3 of us who went for the carvery.

Good cheap food and drink. One issue I had was the wait for deserts 35 minute wait. Besides this I would reccomend and will return.

Had fish and chips yesterday, absolutely lovely. Staff pleasant, good atmosphere, couldn't fault.

Probably the worst I've been in. Slow staff, rude staff.

Brilliant best place we went too. Great walk down to it. Saw a seal pup on the beach.

went sunday fantastic value for money quick service plenty of meat (to much if I'm honest 😬😬) me the wife and my daughter went 3 soft drinks and 3 carverys £28 I think..... had to question if she had charged me to less 🤣🤣🙈🙈

first time here , and wow , the place is so busy , and know i know why , the food was amazing and amazing value for money , meat 🥩 was amazing , and so much choice of fresh veg :) 11/10

One women running round sweating bless her serving near enough everyone downstairs they need more staff. Small portions or food for ridiculously high prices

Took my wife whilst on holiday, sadly made a grave mistake as my wife's meal was disgusting, won't be visiting again, waited whilst everyone else was served, even those seated after ourselves, very, very disappointed I have to say, certainly wouldn't recommend whatsoever!

Went in For the carvery at 3pm. Young women who served me was rude and unhelpful. All the other staff were lovely. Went to get my meal and was told I would have to wait has they didnt have everything ready.was not told this at time of ordering...20 mins later still waiting. Finally got served my meal (food was nice , selection available not very good.... carrots , potatoes (not mash) yorkies and very hard stuffing plus meat. Went up to get some more potatoes for my daughter and was told I could only go up once....bit strange for a carvery!!! A lovely young lady behind the bar came over and served me some more potatoes and gravy and apologised for my initial wait. Overall a nice place and may have just had bad luck with the staff member and wait time.

Went in today. Mainly customers 50+. A glass got smashed on our table. Two of us went to report it incase of a hazard. Bar people did nothing. Just asked "are you ordering anything?" Bar was busy, but not so busy as that no one could leave bar to clean. They were just lazy and uncaring

Been visiting Ingoldmells for 20 years and it was our first visit to the Boat house, the staff were so welcoming and chatty, service was brilliant and the food was gorgeous.

Found this little gemstone hidden away, beautiful Seaview, breakfast to die for was the best I've tasted by far and cheap prices, Staff friendly and you can have a laugh with them. Dog friendly added bonus One small downfall coffee machine was not working when we there and the coffee was not great hand made but I would 1000 percent recommend a trip here.

Great place with good views across the beach on a hot day. Good drinks too. Not too rowdy.

Breakfast was well worth the money very clean and cooked nicely would defiantly recommend

Friendly staff, delicious food, amazing prices. We walked in from the promenade and had a family meal here. There was something for everyone. 3 of us chose roast dinners, which were really tasty. Our 10 year old had minute steak with chips, and we asked for peas on the side. This was from the snacks and light meals menu and it was a substantial portion for him. All of this plus 4 non-alcoholic drinks was £30.30. Highly recommend!

A friendly beach front bar with karaoke and friendly staff.

Beer is the cheapest of anywhere nearby. The staff are excellent and the entertainment is first class. If you want a table you usually need to get there before 7pm though

Really nice pub, great atmosphere and great service. We come down to skeg every year and make the walk from chapel st Leonard’s to the boat house, the near 2hr walk is definitely worth it. 👍

I'll do the place a favour and review them and not some of their obnoxious customers who maybe haven't heard a baby cry or a Scottish accent in a while. Big brave men who waited until they thought my wife had left before having a good old moan and laugh(dont worry she got them told). Decent outside space, bit cluttered inside but the lady behind the bar was nice. Server's a little sharp so we felt more of an inconvenience than somebody spending our money trying to support the local businesses. I'm sure for the right family it's a good place to go but it most definitely wasn't for us.

Great atmosphere, fair pricing. Loved the karaoke here. Family/dog friendly.

Sunday roast is amazing won’t go anywhere else

Absolutely wonderful bar on the outskirts of skegnes,busy bar,very clean and helpful staff,food and drink prices are unbelievable compared to everywhere else in skegness and the quality is the best around by a long way,this week skegness has been like a ghost town but when you go into this place it's bustling with people,just shows that if your quality of food and drinks is top notch and your prices are great people will come A massive roast dinner for £6.50 and a pint of hand pulled real ale for £3. All other beers were around the same price as well,lots of other food available again at brilliant prices,the homemade sandwiches at dinner time for £2.20 were the best I've had for a LONG TIME. Thank you to all the staff keep up the great work

The price of the food was very acceptable and enjoyable basic food. The beer was a great pint and again the price was great. Would I go again absolutely, infact I will be there in July, thank you 😊.

Visited here for a carvery whilst at a weekend break at Butlins. Great pub, lovely attentive friendly staff, especially the man serving the carvery. Food was lovely and a good price. Would recommend to everybody. Great find for us 👍 😀

Absolutely amazing, we came as a group of 8 and were seated in about 10-15 minutes. Cannot fault the staff at all. The price of the carvery was around £8 which for the quality is so good, easily the best carvery I’ve had probably ever. We live up in the North East and plan on coming down again just for a carvery. Amazing. Keep it up!

Food is nice if you can get it... over an hour wait for breakfast and nearly 45 minutes for three coffees. No staff and no communication to customers around a wait on food or anything.

Under cooked sausages, toast with no butter overpriced rubbish £50 for something that should of cost no more than £30, no drinks with the meals waited from ordering meals an finishing still no drinks after 45 minutes in the end had to get a refund, the place wasn't even that busy, save your money and go outside the park much much better, well disappointed 😔

Over priced, got order wrong, waiting ages for food. Some things missing of plate and meal was just average.

Came here as on holiday at the site. Managed to find a table and asked for it to be cleaned in which waiter huffed n then sprayed the table over us. Then waited over a hour for over priced disgusting food. Had to ask where our order was and even though it was busy no one else was eating. Our food arrived freezing cold. My pregnant sister had food poisoning off her chicken tikka masala. £21,99 sirloin steak tasteless cold and inedible, mushrooms cold vile not cooked, chips repulsive, burger burnt and even the bun was black VILE shocking worst food we have had ! Avoid and go to McDonalds!

Very Good place to visit it was my first visit to The Boathouse in Skegness i came on coach trip with Coopers Tours in Grimsby N.E.Lincolnshire.

Just the most delicious carvery. The best in Skegness plus their breakfasts are excellent too.

We was staying at Butlins so decided to visit the boat house . The beer was half the price and a pint of caffreys was only £2 .it was a nice relaxing pub with an old style jukebox with memorabilia of elvis and beatles . It made a nice change from the hassle and bustle of Butlins 80s weekend . Friends had a Sunday roast and all were happy .

Didn't eat but the menu looked very good value for money. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming on a very cold evening, can recommend the draught beer that they served.

Been meaning to try the carvery here for years. Finally had one today, very fresh and well cooked vegetables the beef melted in your mouth. It's help yourself and it's served between 11.45am - 16.00.. Also dogs welcome.

This is the BOAT that rocks. Last Sunday was great with a buzzing vibe, great people of all ages. Singing, laughing in great humour. Will not comment on the cuisine. I am a fat boy with only room for 🍺. I SINCERELY believe this is a fantastic venue. Encourage your comrades to visit, and the prices are spot on. There is only one issue I have, I witnessed a chap struggling to find a seat. I then noticed a man using two stools with his dog using ONE. Please tell him he is out of order PLEASE.

Went for breakfast and waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for the food to then arrive cold. The pub was basically empty so what was the hold up? No apology and staff did not seem to care about poor service. Beans and tomatos were freezing and eggs congealed. Horrendous.

Always a good place to go when you're on holiday

First visit to The Boat House. Popped in for a full English, wasn’t disappointed. Excellent breakfast, food was very good & cooked perfectly, just like your mama’s. Two full English breakfast options, large & Medium. Plenty of alternative options available. Coffee was also very nice. Worth every penny .

Was recommended by my children who work at Butlins - great little. pub, prices very reasonable. Being at butlins its very easy to fall in the tourist trap, but the Boathouse is great. Did not have the food but it looked good and plenty of people were eating, Good selection of alcoholic drinks and priced great, I got 5 x pints for around £20. Good entertainment and plenty of novelty decor. Well worth a visit - service is something to be desired for, I think the barmaid was in a bad mood when I came

I have gone a few times here and never had a bad meal yet, went for brekky 2 weeks ago on my own, Shane was very polite and helpful. Also came in with husband last week for brekky and just missed it, but they still got me a coffee and husband a drink (paid of course) defo a great person to be served by and to ask anything and he'd do his best to help. Thank you

Ordered pint and a latte, latte came over flowing with milk running down the side when I mentioned it I was told it over flowed had to clean cup myself really poor service.

0 stars ! Went for a Carvery. No high chairs for babies. Only seen 2 in the whole restaurant in use. A family let us have one of theirs as one of their children had finished eating. As soon as I started to move the high chair for my 1 year old to use a member of staff came and snatched it out of my hands claiming it was for a reserved table that was not even in the restaurant yet. Absolutely disgusting service and behaviour from staff to snatch a high chair from a customer. Did not stay to eat. Went elsewhere. Would not recommend here if you have small children that need high chairs or just a person who would like nice service as this is lacking sufficient high chairs and staff are rude.
