We orders a variety of food for the first time and it didn't disappoint the portions were huge but full of flavour , it was amazing to watch the chefs cook our order infront of us. 10/10 will be back

Their phone is always unavailable constantly saying busy every time we have ever called for the past few years now when being in the shop we see them constantly ignoring the phone how they are still open is beyond me oh but the food is good…..if you manage to get it that is!!!

Horrible service!!! We’d be trying to call the business to order from 9:30pm with no answer we walked to the shop getting there at 9:45 with the doors locked we were ignored and we asked why they were closed before there closing time and they had no response and slammed the door on us aswell as they ripped there displayed times down on the front door! Horrible service

Food was good but should not have to wait 40 minutes for my order as I only ordered duck Chinese style and egg fried rice especially as this was on a Tuesday definitely won’t be coming back again

I ordered a Special Chow Mein. My favourite of all Chinese meals for 50 yrs. It was the worst meal I've ever had in any Country. It was ALL noodles with a few onion slices, ONE large prawn and ONE piece of beef and ONE piece of chicken. It was very dry. I love noodles but they are supposed to be part of the meal. NOT the meal itself. I should have realised something was not right because as the only person in the take away, my order was ready in under five minutes. Normally, a wait of at least 30/45mins. My advise?....Dont bother. They can't be bothered about you.

Great food at a cheaper price than our local area, only downside was couldn’t get through on the phone to order so had to drive to the shop and wait quite a long time but it was a Saturday so to be expected busy.

⭐⭐⭐ During our holiday visit to Skegness, we decided to try out De Bao Chinese takeaway and ended up spending over £60. Overall, we were impressed with the flavors and timely preparation of most dishes. However, the low point of the meal was the chips, which tasted like they had been kept warm for too long. Despite this, the rest of the food was enjoyable and well-cooked. One aspect that bothered me was the cash-only policy. In today's digital age, this seems outdated and raises concerns about tax avoidance. It would be more convenient for customers if they accepted card payments, as many people don't carry cash anymore. Additionally, the sign warning customers to check their change felt unwelcoming. Despite these issues, I'd still rate the experience as good, mainly due to the delicious food and efficient service.

We aren't from the area, we were staying in Skegness for the weekend and now I'm absolutely gutted we don't live here! The BEST Chinese takeaway we have ever had. The portions were HUGE, usually I demolish a takeaway but had anough for leftovers the next day. Didn't take too long, and food was piping hot on arrival (they delivered to our caravan park). Might have to book another cheeky weekend away just to have this food again 🤣

Just had a delicious takeaway 😋 it was so delicious 😋 a long wait 35 mins but certainly worth it for the piping hot food still red hot when I walked in with it this Chinese takeaway is on busy main road parking not always good its just on road parking 😋 delicious fresh and piping hot certainly would go again oh dear I went again wasn't very good this time I will leave the 4 stars because last time it was amazing salt and pepper chips very dry sweet and sour sauce very watery it's a shame 🫠 I didn't eat much of it if I go again I hope its as delicious as the first time if I go again that is

Amazing food, very clean premises with friendly staff, I would definitely recommend it.

First time we have used this takeaway. Very rarely do I get an actual crispy shredded beef it’s always soggy, but this was very crispy. Beef chow mien was spot on very tasty and the special fried rice was full of little extras. And all was piping hot. Only lost a star because the prawn crackers were disgusting , tasted very oily. I wouldn’t complain if they were free like other takeaways, but I paid for these and put them in the bin. Decor could do with a little tidying but I’m rating the food here

Very poor from start to finish. They know you are holiday makers and just gove you whatever they can. Our portion sizes were all In small containers and a local arrived ordered a dish same has our order and got a bigger container. Also when we got home order was wrong. Definitely don't recommend this take away.

Stayed in Skegness for a week for a holiday with family and searched google for a chinese near me. De Bao came up with a great rating, great images of food and decent prices. Rang up, ordered, and got it delivered right to the sight. Came fast and hot within the time frame provided. Will be ordering again tonight and can’t wait! Would recommend to everybody.

Ordered a Takeaway from this place while on holiday in Skegness this past week, Wednesday evening, delivered to our Holiday Haven Site ( Used to be Richmond) No doubt it was the nicest Chinese Takeaway we have ever had , even better than from our favourite Takeaway in our home town we have on a regular basis. Best everything! And delivery and price was spot on. Delicious! A highlight of our week 😁👍

I have tried many Chinese takeaways and there is always that little something missing that stops me giving a full 5 stars. I have finally found my 5 star in the De Bao and its right on my doorstep. My phone was on constant speed dial for over half hour before my phone was answered an it had only just opened up; that's always a good sign. My order, from left to right was Sweet n Sour Spare Ribs, Honey & Chilli King Prawn in batter and Singapore Style Chow Mein. The obligatory bag of chips with curry sauce dip complete the meal. Don't be fooled by those dark ribs; they are slightly crispy on the outer edge but beautifully soft iside. The sweet n sour sauce has to be home made. Its not that thick orangey-red stuff you usually get, this sauce is light, delicately spiced and slightly more sour than sweet, but its difficult to tell because the flavour changes then changes back again. Its a merry-go-round on the taste buds. The chow mein comprised of perfectly cooked noodles, veg, various meats and prawns and was deliciously flavoured. And finally those prawns. Wow! They are very different. Cooked in a thin batter and bathed in a honey and hot spicy sauce. This was my perfect meal and believe me, I am very fussy. I love the heat from this meal. Not too much, but may be a little too warm for some. If you aren't keen on heat or spices choose from the menu carefully. I have marked 'Atmosphere' as a 5 because I couldn't remove it. As I used a delivery service so used the mark for the guy that delivered. He was very friendly and helpful.

I would recommend this takeaway as an option for any of my friends who are in the area. Sadly I won't be returning any time soon as I live three and a half hours away, but should I find myself in Skegness again, I'll be popping in again.

We got a takeaway here a week or so ago. It wasn't a great experience, and we definitely won't be returning. The place is dismal, a large open shop area that's plain and soulless, a counter hemmed in with covid screens (still), and a tiny window where a dour, disinterested girl reached out to take our money. Once you've paid, you hang around in a plain unheated area until your food is passed to you through the little window. The food wasn't awful. Wasn't that great either. We'll try somewhere else next time.

Just been to this takeaway , first of all the lady which was in recption was so rude , and second just had chicken fried rice and chciken wings which was not even cleaned all were having hairs on it didn't even ate alll thrown to bin and the rice it was all smelly

This is by far the best Chinese food we have had! We had to hunt for a Chinese that was actually open and I have to admit my expectations were not very high. The food tasted amazing and was still hot by the time we got back to our caravan. Delicious!!

The only photos I could show would be empty plates. Absolutely beautiful food and pretty quick delivery. We’re staying at Richmond Park and food was here in an hour, piping hot. Salt and pepper ribs, seaweed, veg curry and they made my interpretation of salt and pepper mushrooms. If I ever come back to Skegness I will definitely be ordering again.

Had the Beef in black bean sauce with crispy vermicelli noodles, and a portion of chips... It came to £6.50p, and it could have fed 2 people ,easily.....😋😋😋 It was extremely tasty meal, chips were lush. .... But, had to leave some as too much food for me...... Very nice tasty dish though......👍👍👍👍😋😋

Very tasty food! Took around 30 minutes to cook but I expect we went at a busy time. Tried to phone through our order but the line was busy. Would definitely recommend!

Unsure of which to visit we ended up picking this one. It looks a bit shabby from the outside if you go to collect but do not let this put you off! This is now one of our favourite Chinese places anywhere!! Really nice food and I thought a great price too (£25–£30) for 4 adults is not to be knocked.

Lived in Skegness for 6 months, finally found a decent Chinese take away, not going to go anywhere else now.

The best Chinese in skeg in our opinion. It does get really busy so sometimes a long wait but we've only ever had 1 bad meal from here in the last 8 years of using it.

When they wont even answer the phone and just pick up then hang up they dont deserve any business!!! Atleast answer and say your not taking any more orders. 🤬

Nice fresh cuisine always on time

One of my favourite chinese takeaways not only in Skegness but better than the ones in my hometown local to me. Can be busy with a long wait (20min) on occasions but worth the wait. A semi open kitchen so you can get a partial view of the food being prepared. Very large choice menu and were willing to knock up chicken with bean sprouts in oyster sauce that's not on the menu.
