Top quality food complemented by Cam our attentive waiter, both efficient in taking our order and knowledgable about the menu. The shoulder of lamb was an absolute delight, not forgetting the croquette nibbles which we had as a light starter.

Everything about this country pub is lovely and a firm favourite! Staff are welcoming and talk to our little girl and everyone is always smiling. Cameron is an attentive waiter.

Great food lovely environment good service not cheap but value for money

Good food with pleasant friendly service and nice atmosphere. It has a good bar area and outside seating for drinks and restaurant area for eating.

Our waiter Cam was unbelievable!!!!!! The food and service was on point....fried chicken starter was insane. Well played team!

As frequent visitors to several of the Paragon venues , this is one of our favourites. Another lovely meal, ate too much with three courses…. But can’t resist t eh toffee Apple crumble. Super friendly, professional and attentive service from Imogen, well done.

Usually can't recommend the food and service enough but on last visit, we received really poor service. The restaurant was busy and we were a large table (8) but food service was incredibly slow, especially in between courses. That could have been forgiven, given the business, but for both main and dessert my meal wasn't brought out with the rest of the food. For starter, it arrived much later with apologies but for main, I actually had to get up and go and ask our waiter where it was as he and another waitress had gone to sing happy birthday and deliver cake to another table. Very disappointed.

I have recently visited the boards head with my family for a meal. Overall, our experience was amazing. The staff were so polite and friendly, our waitress Ruby was very kind and attentive, she made sure our table was well cared for. One thing I would just comment on was that we had to wait a while for the food, however we did understand it was a little busy. Would definitely recommend coming here! The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious.

First time at the Boars head and it did not disappoint. Food was really good quality and we have to give a shout out to Tom at the bar. Extremely friendly, and makes the best pornstar Martini. Had an amazing Sunday roast! Can't fault the food or the service! Friendly staff and a relaxed environment made for a really nice afternoon.

Came in with family for some food this week! Food from the new menu was incredible! Everything was presented beautifully, and service was fantastic! Couldn’t fault a thing! Would definitely recommend!

Fist me here and it was excellent except for a long wait for our dessert

Went here today , the outside and inside is lovely, really nice, I ordered the haddock goujons off the light lunch menu, I get it’s a light lunch but it was the size of a kids portion for almost £14 with 4 tiny bits of frozen haddock with hardly any fish inside, they were also overcooked so I sent them back and received some new ones a little better, they didn’t taste great and for the price and portion they were very underwhelming, the rest of the food seemed very high price so went with this as it was £14, but at the size of a children’s meal it’s totally not worth this. My husband had the mussels which were also cold. And a bit of tiny cheese bread which cost £5. Massively overpriced and tiny portions, probably won’t visit again unfortunately.

We popped in for a few drinks, after visiting Dorothy Clive Gardens....it was so good. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and friendly. We met Cameron , a new employee who was very attentive and friendly, in the garden area. The clientele were lovely too. All in all we will definitely return and hopefully eat next time as the food looked good.

Everything about it was brilliant, priced very reasonably for the superb quality of food, friendly service, cosy with a good dining ambiance, 10/10 recommend and will be revisited in the near future!

Lovely Sunday lunch and great service.

We called in with our 2 dogs having just arrived at the nearby Oakdene campsite and we're given a very warm welcome. The dogs were provided with their own beds and water. Excellent food and delightful service. Thank you

A little disappointing to be honest, garlic pizza undercooked very doughy and unable to eat sections, staff member said she would let the chef know but offered no apology. Chicken panko and pork chop were nice but both overcooked. Drinks service was very slow. The bill included a service charge, realistically you're not going to ask to have it removed unless you want to make a fuss so we won't be revisiting any of their pubs.

The food tasted ok and the staff were very polite and friendly but the catalog of errors started from the moment we arrived, we were offered numerous beers, all of which ended up not available. Both the espressos and the chocolate brownie desert were cold, the brownie so cold it was solid. Not sure if the boar is under new management but it’s not what it once was.

Called in for an impromptu lunch. Great value with the children’s offer for £1.50 during the Easter holidays. Popcorn chicken highly recommended by my 12yo and the crispy beef salad was lovely and huge!

Regular diners at the Boars Head and always had excellent food and service. However first time for Sunday lunch and unfortunately we had to ask for three of the six meals to be reheated. A small matter I agree but the reason why 4 star instead of 5.

We took some friends for a 'thank you' lunch. The efficiency, professionalism and warmth of the staff was strikingly uplifting in comparison to other establishments. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection and well presented, so needless to say that we polished off every morsel. The Boars Head is a charming restaurant with a lovely garden and courtyard surrounded by beautiful countryside. The management put customer service at the heart of everything they do and it shows, setting it apart from its rivals. This has become my goto place for a lovely treat.

Second visit today. Ordered a drink before the rest of the party arrived. Took 25minutes? We waited an hour for our food. We ended up having our starters and mains together. They really need to either employ more staff or get much quicker in the kitchen. Literally rushed our food as some of us had to leave. Food was great though. Fish and chips were amazing. Staff were nice and friendly. But service was so SLOW!

Called in for lunch whilst out for the day and as it was not one of the Groups restaurants we had been to before decided to check it out Love the way they have opened the place up the large conservatory type main dining room the large glass entrance gives it a wow factor when you arrive Love the outdoor garden patio area that would be great in summer The food was hot and fresh we went for the 2 course for £22 deal starter of the chilli chipolata then the boss had haddock ( size of a whale) in a very light but crispy batter I went for the rump steak cooked just right Served by a very nice young lady Sorry we never got your name with a right bubbly smiling attentive attitude a real ambassador to the place So yet another to add to our list of dining out locations

Had a really lovely meal here on a weeknight. Ambience was good, service attentive not over bearing. Food was plentiful and high quality with one exception. I ordered the Rhubarb pie which wasn’t available and then substituted with the apple crumble. The apple was almost non existent and the crumble was pretty much 100% sugar which made it really unpleasant and inedible. A great bottle of wine had been shared by then so we didn’t really care! I would absolutely go back and wish I’d found it sooner!

We called in with the off chance of getting a table which we felt may be unlikely as it was a busy Sunday afternoon however one of the ladies found us a table which was great but 2 minutes later offered us a different table which was more of a comfortable one for us to eat Sunday lunch The service was prompt and efficient despite them being busy and the roast beef sunday lunch was fabulous Thank you and I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon 👍😊

Lovely Sunday Lunch from the set menu, however a full menu was also available. The children's menu was also good but too much for a three year old. Needed to book a table in advance and while we were there all tables were constantly full. Food was very good, but Sunday lunch was only a choice of beef or ham and could be either one two or three courses.

Sunday roast dinner was poor by experiencing other restaurants we've visited. Beef and gammon together don't work somehow especially with brown gravy. We had 2 slices of gammon, one slice beef on one serving and the other serving was 2 slices of beef, one slice of gammon??? I found eating two slices of gammon extremely odd with brown gravy! Was disappointed to be honest. Won't visit again.

Know this place from my old day / thought we would swing by with the family for a quick bite to eat and was not disappointed !!!
