The Blue Olive in Enfield

Went to Blue Olive by myself for a 'me' dinner. Lovely staff and really good food. I ate veg that night but it' was nice! Highly recommend this place:)

Restaurant looks great following recent refurb. Waiting staff are friendly and attentive. Food is spectacular. Highly recommend if you fancy a genuine Greek night.

Plenty of choice of authentic Greek food that was fresh and delicious. Prices were very affordable and you do not leave there hungry! Friendly service and a must-visit for good Greek food.

Service rubbish food no better higene rating only 2 stars. Went for a meal with some friends it was the worst greek meal I can remember having eaten. There are many good greek places to eat in north London sadly this is not one of them.

Very nice atmosphere. They were very patient whilst we waited for people and food was good. Would recommend this place ti eat.

Staff not welcoming and a smile would be nice. Ordered a pork kebab half of meat was gresle and hard to chew. Restaurant recommenced by a friend and expected a good meal considering I was in the heartland of the Greek community with plenty of restaurants competing for business.

Went at a quiet time of day so not really fair to judge based only in this visit . Having said that the restaurant round corner was packed and very buzzy ?

Sadly disappointed with The Blue Olive. Had high hopes but I found it to be overpriced for what it was and the food didn't taste of much. However the waiters were lovely and attentive.

Going down hill rapidly, use to be good but now portions getting smaller and quality getting . Not good value for the costs. Food is way overpriced and the meat was tough and dry and salty. Waiting staff are slap dash and forget what they are doing. Not going back for sure . Vrisaki is still the best for price and quality.

Not been here for years but had a delicious meal today. Great service too. We really enjoyed it. The Kleftico was so good.

First time visiting. Welcomed and show a table. To me, the tables are too close so heard everyone's conversion. Food was delivered promptly, and tasty. I would like to see more authentic Greek decor to make it more of an occaction. Don't think I would return.

Food tasted ok, but the service was terrible. We had to wait over 30 minutes for a plate of chips and when we enquired why, we got an extremely rude response from the waitress. Expensive and just not worth the money! Avoid folk! There are much better options up there, with much better service and much nicer staff! 👎👎👎👎👎

Decent meze, nothing exciting or exceptional about the experience , functional, average portions, nothing bad but nothing specially good either for the £30 min a head with a drink. Much better available in that area, a meze should wow with overflowing Greek flavours.

Visited here last night with our Greek Friends who themselves used to run the very successful and sorely missed restaurant on elstree airfield - the blue Olive is a large Greek restaurant - surprisingly empty for a Friday night so ambience was lacking however as we were a loud table this didn’t matter - overall the food obviously typically Greek was very good - the service was excellent and efficient - for 5 of us with wine beers liqueur and soft drinks was £240 so certainly value and I couldn’t fault in any way and would have no problem recommending if yr looking for a Greek restaurant in this area !

I've eating here many times and the food has always been on point. I've attended with friends and family and neither have been disappointed. The food always tastes good and there is a variety to choose from. We mainly go for the meze as it has a mixture of dips, fish and meat dishes. The portions are reasonable sized.

Don't mind paying for quality but the food was very disappointing at an extortionate price. The service was slow, took ages to order, the food was bland and unfortunately will not be going there again.

It was a team lunch and the portions for each were massive. It was a good experience to sit with your colleagues and talk over other things other than work.

Some years ago I fell in love with blue olive vegetarian dolma unfortunately the taste the quality fell dramatically. I took away today and what a disappointment

Good quality food and service. Wasn't too busy on the day we went, we were greeted and shown to the table. The food and drinks came out fairly quick, we didn't need to wait around. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone thinking of going there.

Food is superb. I had a grilled sea-bream and it was the best one I’ve ever had. Also the aubergine baba ganoush was yummy! They gave us baklava on the house!

The meze was excellent. Plenty of it and very tasty. One person had the sea bream which was very big and very tasty. Would be a good venue for a larger gathering. Parking nearby was Ok (Sunday).

Dolmades used to be good but tasted different tonight - not as nice or fresh tasting. Gave us an upset stomach. Will not be ordering again.

Hey i had a experience at the blue olive and it was amazing they had one of the best waiter he was called Alex and did my table excellent i loved the food and the drink i definitely come again and i hope the waiter called alex will be there to serve my table 🥳

Good all round restaurant, food is very nice

Dried out meat and couldn't care less service. I have eaten at blue olive previously and it was mediocre. It the light of the good reviews we tried it again. It was very disappointing. Meat obviously cooked a while ago before served. The staff didn't care about it or infact didn't care whether we were there or not. I've never felt so unwelcome. I'm not giving blue olive another chance.

Best Greek food and friendly staff

We arrived and got seated and served our starters very quickly. We were seated in an area where there was a large party just finishing their celebration. We finished our starters as they were leaving. I could see our waiter outside on the pavement smoking, so we waited and waited and eventually another waiter came and cleared our table. Sometime later our main course arrived, at the sane time several staff were clearing from the large party. Tables and chairs being dragged across the floor , and clean plates and cutlery being plonked on the tables. It was like eating in a warehouse ! The food was nicely cooked but I couldn't finish due to the noise and total lack of consideration for us as customers. When the waiter came to clear our table, we told how how we felt. He didn't apologise, just said they have to prepare for the next customers. They had forgotten to look after the two of us ! The boss was at the the desk but never even acknowledge us. Won't be going back!!

I concour with previous comment's about the food being bland. I had a monkfish kebab that had no flavour and one piece of pepper and onion. It was dry it could have been any type of fish ?? Salad dressing just like water and a few pieces of fetta cheese was charged extra. Chicken kebab similar but moussaka was tasty.

Food is delicious but service is truly exceptional. Was there yesterday and the lovely young man with glasses made sure we had an amazing Sunday meal. Will definitely be coming back!

Average food at high end prices. Service too relaxed, toilets rather dirty.

Service was not efficient from the beginning.. unprofessional and pretty relaxed. We were encouraged to have one meze per person although we had 4 children in our booking this set us back £336 bill in the end with drinks minus dessert. You could imagine the shock especially as we took most of the food home with us. Overall not worth the money.. food was average and service was not up to standard compared to the money we paid. Oh and service was apparently not included 🤣 are you kidding me!

In the past I’ve been here a fair few occasions and had a really nice meal, however I dined here recently for Father’s Day and received a very poor experience. At first, they had run out of our top 2 choices for dinner. Secondly, they brought one starter out extremely late after the others, in which we had to keep asking them for it. Thirdly, five minutes before our main meals arrived (which was a long time after we had placed the order) they told us that they only had one veggie moussaka left, and not the two that we had ordered, and pushed us to accept the alternative which was stuffed vegetables. This turned out to be sloppy, tasteless and quite horrible actually. They also didn’t bring our side order of chips that we had asked for, to top it off. We were charged for the alternative and the chips that never came, we managed to get the chips off the bill at least. It’s a real shame to say as we’ve had good experiences in the past, but on this occasion we had a really poor experience all round.

Food was tasteless. There are much better options available for Greek Food. Even had to ask twice for sauce to bring some flavour to the food. Chips were good though. Roast potatoes….I really don’t know how you can get this wrong but they tasted like they had been boiled (slightly) and then put in the oven for 10 mins……..

Had a great time and the food was great. Lovely atmosphere ann professional staff. Might be a bit crowded or loud for some people at times and booking ahead is advisable.

The place is always buzzing and lively. We all enjoyed our food, from calamari, to swordfish, to lamb. The service is good too. We will come again.

Lovely Greet place and traditional. Plus was sitting in a greek restaurant listening to Greek music gives it that extra traditional feeling! The food was amazing tasty from the meatballs to the pork Shish. Only slight let down was new waiter making order mistakes I’m assuming being new that’s the only reason which stopped me giving 5⭐️

Really awesome food, I highly recommend the seafood meze, you get a lot of delicious seafood, calamari octopus prawns etc and a few different types of fish. Staff are really nice,helpful and always smiling.

Decided to come to Blue Olive last night to celebrate son's 21st. Thought I'd double check on line meze per head (which said £28.50) by phoning the restaurant they quoted £28.50, so booked on the strength of that. Got there and menu quoted £32.95 per head which is what we were charged, so basically lied to my face, daylight robbery!

Average food average service another expensive kebab shop with poor food

Vibrant, great atmosphere but service was extremely poor. Kebabs were overcooked and dry. Only received an apology after we'd asked where our main course was (after an hour). Don't think the staff cared if we were there or not to be honest. Pretty average food,not very tasty and probably won't go back. Shame

Please take in mind other negative reviews. They are genuinely true. We ordered the food for my party. It was really bland without any seasoning. Kebabs were not marinated at all. Octopus was undercooked. I threw it away. The man charged me £5 on top, it would have been ok if the food was nice. It was not so bad restaurant before some years ago. I have called to them to complain about my experience. The man has said to me that they "have served 300 guests yesterday so their place is good" but " everything has happened with take away food as the driver could be 30 min late". It's shocking if they cannot take responsibility for take away orders at all, they should be dine in place only. I wish I have read other negative reviews about take away orders before. Overcooked and undercooked plus hygiene standards are your responsibility, the owner of this place.

Consistently good everything. Particularly a fan of the meat dolmades main course.

Meze was delicious and in very generous portions for excellent value. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend whole-heartedly!

Amazing. We had steak and lots of different seafood. Octopus,calamari, prawns sea bass swordfish amazing thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. 100% worth going.

We were part of a large group of 20+ people. Although we booked for 15 people, extras turned up and the staff were so accommodating. Food was very authentic. No dish that stood out above another, everything was spot on. Great evening, thank you!

Very good restaurant! Haven’t been to many Greek restaurants but this is on top of the list. They have a set called the meze which is for minimum 2 people (£29 per person) but totally worth it. Lots of food. Starters, fish and meat. They bring is as you go and it’s worth the experience trying everything. It’s allot of food and 2 people probably won’t finish it. We were 9 and ordered 7 mezes. Plenty!

Delicious traditional Greek food, we had keoftedes (meatballs) and dolmades in vine leaves, I call them koubebia. Greek salad, taramosalata and pita bread. Decent prices and excellent service!

Due to various circumstances, this regular fav of ours had not been visited for dine in for about 3 years. We were welcomed back like loved family and treated to food of the highest quality. Lamb souvla for my wife was as tender and tasty...

My husbands Greek friend and his beautiful Irish wife introduced us to the restaurant. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's fabulous. 👍👍👍👍👍

Always excellent food and service

I came here for dinner with four of my friends. A good neighbourhood restaurant. We shared a meze platter with two seafood and three meat options. The package included cold starter, hot starter, and main course. Everything was cooked to perfection. The seafood was also cooked to perfection. The interior can be improved to enhance the experience. The service was friendly and helpful, and a special thanks to the lady who served us. We will definitely be back.

Great food and a really good service, however the toilets really smelt awful. They are in desperate need of a deep clean or better still refurbishment. According to my other half the female ones needed a good clean too.
