“Do you…?” “No” “Can I get…?” “No.” Even on the odd occasion I have managed to extract some food out of this lot it’s been average at best. They seem to exist purely to not provide any kind of hospitality. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

If you're craving the best kebabs and fish and chips in Winchmore Hill, Agatha’s is your go-to spot. They’ve been dishing out amazing Greek Cypriot eats for over 30 years and trust me, it shows. George and Sue, the owners, are total gems – super friendly and they know their stuff. Every time you walk in, expect a big smile and food that’ll make you come back for more. Haven’t been in a while? You’ve gotta swing by and taste what you’ve been missing!

Extremely rude woman behind the counter pretending to serve customers. The moment I walked in she scolded me for picking up a cardboard menu from the counter and said I should pick up the menus behind me. I don’t have eyes at the back of my head. She then became frustrated when after a long day I was taking my time deciding what to order and she was speaking to me as if I am at school. I will not be coming to this place again. We are the customers and we should be able to take as long as we like to eat. I advised her to learn some manners

Had a really tasty kebabs and chips from Agathas on Saturday night. Quick service and so friendly. Even popped in a complementary souvla for us to enjoy - which we had never tried before but would order next time it was so delicious!! Highly recommend as so reasonably priced too!!

Stated they where open on Google but when I arrived they had a sign stating they where closed for holidays. Wasted my time. Next time update your Google profile. I run my own business and it's not that hard.

This is an absolutely amazing little Greek takeaway -charcoal ribs are fantastic, chips are the best I’ve had, and it’s family run and authentic. In an area saturated with competitive Greek restaurants this is top.

Thought we would give this place a go after never going there before. Will never go again. Over priced!, The most oiliest fish I have ever eaten in London. Base of fish batter was thick and full of oil. The chips were all broken, some burnt and looked like they were double fried, also oily. The worst fish and chip shop for me in Enfield. Bag size of chips was small and overpriced.

Had Cod and chips freshly fried to order, the batter was crisp, and the chips are always the best.They also cook kebabs to order oncharcoal with lots of fresh salad. Friendly staff, been there for years , testament, good food, good service

I tried Agatha's again - after a considerable gap in time - in the hope things might have improved since the last time I was there, but no. The fish was ok not great, as the batter was a bit soggy, but the chips were absolutely awful, AGAIN. Large portion but they were so dry and wrinkly I'm convinced they had either been left in the fryer overnight, since the last service, or had been cooked so early in the day before opening and just left there to go dry. They tasted so old, dry, tasteless - generally unappetizing. A considerable number of them were also just dry overcooked potato scraps too, not proper chips. As I'd gone there only half an hour after opening up i thought everything would be fresh, but the opposite was true. I'm never going there for fish and chips again.

Decent Kebabs and the meat is juicy, the food isn't too good, but still it tastes decent, depending on your palette. The staff are kind and helpful, I'd recommend to fellow fish 'n' chips lovers.

Great fish and chips, fresh and cooked to order with a lovely light and crispy batter. The doner kebab is amazing too, I ask for it well down and Agatha’s are very accommodating. Lamb meatballs are different class and a nice twist on traditional recipes.

My favourite local restaurant by far! Food is delicious single every time, from the chips to the Moussaka. Staff are amazingly friendly and always so helpful to me. Never not smiling and full of conversations. Recommend to everyone!!!

Brought sheftalia from Deliveroo? Tne meat was was not cooked inside and burnt on the outside ? Took a bite of it and realised it was raw ? Pls make sure u cook the meat I could of got food poisoning.

One of the best and most popular locations for a Greek family run business. Winchmore Hill is where alot of the best Greek places are. This take away shop does very good tasty dishes and the staff are friendly and welcoming :)

INEDIBLE, OVERPRICED AND JUST AWFUL.....!!! Ordered kleftico at £17!!!. Inedible and far from traditional. The potatoes were also awful and tasted like they had been cooked four days before. I have eaten this dish in Greece, in restaurants here and via delivery and Agatha's version us as so so far from even the concept of the dish! If I could give a minus score I would.....even our cat wouldn't touch it. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The fish was oily and batter really thick and almost burnt and chips tasted like they were re-fried. Would not buy from here again! Worst ever had. Think they should choose to specialise in one area of takeaway.

Ordered chicken kebab which was dry and did not taste freshly cooked. Ordered chilli sauce but it did not arrive. Also ordered chips which were hard and dark like they too were just reheated. The sausage was ok. Do not waste your money on this place. They either don't care or they can't cook. Also ignore the over the top reviews below which are clearly fake.

The worst fish I have ever eaten. Half of the ‘fish’ was just hollow batter and the fish that was present was oily and tasteless. Only came here as our usual fish and chips shop was closed, and needless to say we will not be returning. DO NOT COME HERE FOR YOUR FISH AND CHIPS

Just had delivered a beautiful large Cod and Chips and 2 Savaloys and Chips. Food was piping hot and fish was very large and fresh, home made lovely soft chips crispy on the outside. Portions are so very generous. Thank you so very much always such a great meal from Agathas👍👍

I am a local and only go here if I have to when “Going Greek“ is closed. The customer service is disgraceful and the staff are extremely rude. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this place like I once would have in the past. The food isn’t great either.

We have been visiting Agatha's for a few years now and have to say hands down the best Greek food we have tasted. The Souvlas are amazing Chicken, Lamb, and Pork are exquisite and so succulent. The meatballs and stuffed peppers are so tasty and a great complement to any meal. The homemade donner and taramasalata are also perfect with a pitta! The chicken kebabs are great also Every meal needs to be accompanied by their world-famous chips! Trust me these chips are out of this world and need to be tried. The staff are friendly and the owners are always at hand to help! if you are in the area this is a must and you won't be dissapointed!

Quaint olde world takeaway good food and service

As always Agatha’s didn’t disappoint! The lamb souvlakia and fish were delicious and the chips as always were amazing! Will definitely be visiting again when I’m back in town. Lovely to see the owners still there who are always so welcoming and friendly.

The fish is awful in this place. Had cod, which was rock hard and barely had any fish just overcooked batter what a joke! Ended up in the bin. Don't go here for fish and chips, better to go to an actual fish and chip shop. Kebabs are hit and miss too. Much better takeaways in the area!

The Greek food might be fine, but the fish and chips are below average. Quite disappointing - the chips are particularly poor; I really wish they’d improve this offering.

Stumbled across this takeaway and felt compelled to write a review. I had the chicken souvla which was spit roasted to perfection and chips. Food was delicious. The foremost reason I felt compelled to write a review was because of how incredible friendly and kind the staff were. I had received some bad news and was visibly upset. The owner took the time to console me and sit with me (even though they were busy) until she saw that I was okay. True local spirit and I look forward to picking up my next meal.

Great food, had the Chicken kebab which was delicious, along with some halloumi and vine leaves. The nicest of staff - very warm and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for more - beats all local competition hands down! Thank you!

and I quote from the website 'Telephone orders welcome' There is nothing stated on the website about minimum order value (for a collection). Rude service and cut off mid way through the order to be told 'I'm not taking an order for that, you'll have to come in' Problem is though, people of the ever rude Agathas, when we've been in before you don't necessarily have the items we want, and are visibly put-out by the effort of making something off your own menu-idiotic!

Food is Awful, chips cooked on old oil, fish was cooked then put in the heat cabinet.....rock hard. I live 2 minutes away and ever now and then I give it another go, every time it's a load of codswallop excuse the pun, shocking tastless junk

Been going here for my whole life. Lovely people, lovely food and saved our lives to have a healthy take away down the road when we had newborn babies. We basically survived because of this kebab shop! We've moved away now but still come back whenever we have the remotest opportunity.

Worst place ever to eat in... the lamb gave a rotten smell and tastes like leather ...stay away if you dont want to get food poisoning ..if I could I would definitely give 0 stars .

Todas son igual de frescas, y nunca menos del 100%, calientes y deliciosas. Los mejores kebabs de la zona N 13/21. Servicio amigable y eficiente, la mayoría de los clientes son conocidos por Sue, George y Robbie. Ocupado el jueves y viernes excelente relación calidad-precio!

Food is very average, have had much better greek cuisine. Chips were very nice, hence the 3 stars. Very over priced food.

El sabor de la comida es como el aceite de la sartén, he pedido papas fritas y una salchicha y fue lo peor que he comido. Incluso la comida que estaba en exhibición no se veía muy bien, por lo tanto, el motivo por el que elegí fue una opción segura. El olor solo era desagradable, el restaurante es asqueroso, la camarera principal era grosera y solo se calentaba con los "locales". La mejor parte fue cuando encontré un largo cabello castaño en mi comida, esa fue la última gota y nunca volveré a la de Agatha. Hay muchos otros restaurantes locales que sirven comida decente a diferencia de este lugar

Good food at a reasonable price. Freshly cooked (20 minutes). Try ordering and walking down to the Queen's Head for a quick pint. Homemade tarama, try the mushrooms.

Being new to the area, we thought we would give Agatha's a try (even though we were sceptical judging by the look of the place). This was a mistake. Chips had a gross taste to them, like they had been cooked in old oil- they also seemed stale. The salad used in the (tiny, fatty) lamb kebab was nearly off and not fresh at all. The fish batter was soggy. We couldnt finish our meals as they were too gross (even though we were starving). Very disappointing, especially as they are not cheap. Really cant quite understand how they can still be open when they serve such low quality food...

Overcooked donner kebab even the bread was burnt. Ribs were very fatty and chewy pretty much inedible. Chips were great. Not a cheap takeaway. Really don't know how they have been in business so long.

The best chicken souvlas i ever tried. Prices are reasonable. Food is excellent. The whole family was happy.. Staff very friendly and they know everyone by their names, this says a lot. Highly recommended.

Tenía llevar unas cuantas veces, la mayoría de la comida es preparada mientras espera, así que no es el más rápido para llevar. Toda la comida que probé era buena, kebabs, platos vegetarianos, ensaladas, etc. Es un lugar que ha cambiado muy poco con el tiempo. Llame con anticipación para hacer un pedido para evitar esperar 20 minutos para la comida preparada.

Best chips around, soft and fluffy on the inside with a slight crisp coating on the outside. Fish always tastes great, lovely flavour and no skin! Sausage in batter also one of the best around. Lamb shish kebab is fantastic as is their dolmades. Very popular place and nice staff. Large portion sizes.

Worst Kebab i ever had, Hardly any chicken, chicken smelt like it was on the turn, dry, pita bread was stale and just fell apart, chilli sauce had no chilli in it could just taste the tomato base, overall bland.

Kebabs always amazing. You will struggle to find better chips. And the extra are brill got to have the meatballs

Trabajo en la zona y fuimos para un rápido para llevar. Tenía una verdura a la parrilla kebab y de verdad no puedo entender los comentarios que uno es mejor ir a otro kebab shop para la mejor calidad? Las verduras estaban recién asado y eran experimentados hermosamente. La ensalada era fresca y variada. Y el pan es rayas antes de habituales. pasada pitta Fresco y caliente, y se sirve en un ambiente cálido, amable y agradable. 5 estrellas. Volveremos muy pronto.

Sue and George never fail to deliver. My usual is a chicken kebab filled with large pieces of chicken cooked to order and plentiful salad and in my opinion this is quite a healthy option!
