Had a fantastic few hours at the Blue Bells Cowpen Bewley yestersay. Fantastic food, great staff, wonderful atmosphere. 33 of us attended a family surprise lunch/party for my sister in law. So so good. Staff were so helpful and obliging and the food was superb. If i have a complaint it's that portions were huge. Food was so good that it seemed a shame we couldn't finish it all. An all round fabulous experience for both adults and children. Will certainly visit again. Oh and the price wasnt ectortionate either - lot lower than expected. Thank you

First time visit for many many years. Fantastic steak night,thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We didn't pre book thinking it would be quiet but it was busy,but they accommodated the four of us. All meals were excellent, had to wait quite a while for the meals but they were worth it . A glass of wine was included with the steak. Perfectly cooked.

Was recommended by a local friend as I was travelling through. The food and service was exceptional!! Value for money outstanding! So glad I took the time to find this wee gem. Special mention for the red velvet cheesecake! Never tasted anything like it!! Would definitely recommend this Gastro Pub.

Go to place for Sunday lunch. All veg fresh (served separate) great mash and roast potatoes plus a VERY deep and tasty gravy. Think it was £8.95 per person and 4 meat choices. Far better than spending £11 to £12 for an inferior lunch at the place that sounds like “Leafeater”.
