What a gem of a find! Keep an eye out for this (down a little side street opposite Mirage Amusement) simple but delicious food in fantastic portions with excellent prices! We will definitely be back! Bacon and Sausage doorstep sandwiches, Spam with Beans on toast!

It's a little time machine. Old fashioned, polite service with Glen Miller & Dame Vera Lynn playing in the background. Lots of war time memorabilia everywhere (almost like being at Grannies house as a small child), and my dad spotted one of his old regiment badges on the wall - Notts & Derby Sherwood Foresters. Retro cool.

A very unusual cafe. Based on a World War 2 theme. Old crockery, simple food, large portions, and very friendly staff. Great value for money. A nice but different experience.

I stumbled across this place whilst sheltering from the rain. It was amazing! Dripping wet and with two dogs, they welcomed us in and we felt like we had just been accepted into the neighbourhood, with locals at tables chatting to us and fussing the dogs. This is such a special little place and the doorstep sandwiches are amazing!

This little tearoom continues to give great value! The winter special of liver, bacon, onions and vegetables was a huge plateful of beautifully cooked loveliness! We continue to return here for good fresh homemade food at a reasonable price.

This is a lovely freindly place,lots of war history,the food is amazing,highly recommended and not expencive at all, we will be going again

Very reasonable prices. Great decor. Dog friendly which is to be applauded. We had full English breakfast. Ok if you don’t mind half the plate being beans and chopped tomatoes making a soggy mess. My husband’s toast was mouldy. When this was pointed out, staff member made no apology and did not offer replacement toast . Only blamed the bread supplier. .Very disappointing.

This was not my first visit and each was very enjoyable as well as with informative displays. The food is simple and excellent, the doorstep bread surprises most visitor, everything is great value, the staff are friendly,dogs are welcome, the atmosfear is relaxing. This visit was with my ex farthering law, we both had spam, egg, beans on doorstep toast and diet pepsi for under £12, real value in these days. Len & Eric Alford

Love this cafe from all the little ornaments to the 1940s music.I came here twice on my holiday once with my husband and once with my mum.i had a scone and tea one day and chocolate cake and tea the next.both were delicious and so reasonably priced.i saw other peoples breakfasts/sandwiches which looked very nice.the girls working there were also very polite and gave good service.would definitely return.

Very nice breakfast,great value for money,staff are friendly. The only fault i found was the sauce bottles needed a good clean as had dried and wet sauce aroud them.

Omg what a lovely little tea room.Came in with parents for a cup of tea and a cake. Tea was loose and needed a tea strainer (new novelty for a 25 year old lol) but was one of the best cups of teas I've ever hand. No word of lie. Chocolate cake was lovely. Not dry at all and sweet but not too sweet. Fruit scones was lovely but we also tried a 'Ration Book Fattie' had never heard of it before but omg it was so tasty.Can not say anything negative about this place as it simply doesn't exist. Will definitely be returning.

Try to visit here on our annual trip to Mablethorpe and it never disappoints. Full of memorabilia and if your lucky they may have a singer on singing war time favourites. The food is homemade and delicious.

I booked here to go to afternoon tea because my 11 year old niece loves anything to do with World War Two. It was the bank holiday so I didn’t expect the £10 off government scheme, when we arrived the lady told us she was still doing it so bonus for me. We arrived and she was really apologetic our table wasn’t ready the people on it was just finishing up, we said not to worry we would come back in 10 minutes, wasn’t a problem at all none, of us likes to be rushed while eating do we? We returned she still apologising but it really didn’t matter to us. We sat down and we had a choice of any drink what we wanted to we had two lemonade and a milk shake. The tray came out it was loaded up with goodies, one of us are vegetarian so we had a side plate of sandwiches too, which was lovely the amount of people that just put them all together is unbelievable. All the cakes was freshly made the scones was the best scone I’ve ever had. I really can not reiterate how friendly the staff where and how welcoming they all was. I’ve had many afternoon teas in mablethorpe and this was by far the friendliest. The cakes wasn’t a as fancy as some others but they was the best tasting. Without a doubt I will go back again and for the price you couldn’t beat it. We didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day.

Gluten free foods & a wonderful 1940s theme, fantastic combination. Prices are super cheap too. Churchill would approve for sure! We can’t wait to go back!
