The Black Bull in Falkirk

We sat outside for 15 minutes then went into the bar to ask , only to be told that they don't do food anymore. The advertising outside says they do .

I stayed at the Black Bull, for two nights & can't fault a thing. Immaculately clean, and a very spacious room. Smooth check in, where the friendly lady, showed me to my room. Will definitely stay again.

Brilliant food and service. Everything is cooked so fresh and nothing is too much for the staff. Lots of variety on the menu too.

Went for an evening meal on a Saturday whilst on a weekend break in Falkirk. Both of had two courses and couldn't have managed 3 courses. The food was of a very good quality & there was a good selection including the specials board

I was here with family Sat night, there is so much choice on the menu, I opted for the chicken and bacon garlic bread to start which was delicious, followed by Cajun chicken then mum n me shared the cheesecake which was heaven. Prawns cocktail, mushrooms, fish macaroni and steak pie was enjoyed by rest of table. First weekend of being allowed out and the place was busy, covid measures being followed by staff and screens between tables. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We booked a table for 7pm for dinner here. We were given menus and then basically ignored. After 15 minutes I went up to the bar to ask if we had to order there?, one of the waitresses said we had already ordered which we hadn't. She reluctantly came to the table and took our order. The place was very noisy and tables were close together (definately not properly measured for social distancing). We waited over an hour for our food coming, I did go up to the bar and ask why it was taking so long for our food ( one steak pie and one macaroni cheese) and the waitress replied 'there's only one chef' (no apology for the long wait). I said I had noticed in the hour we had been waiting there had been exactly 9 meals brought out of the kitchen one by one (3 tables of customers). She said 'yes we have been very busy'. When the food eventually came it was a big disappointment, small portions and the macaroni was cold. The service was poor, almost non existant, poor quality cold food and crammed noisy pub. We will not be returning, the meal was a complete waste of money.

Had a lovely evening meal here. Staff were very pleasant, restuarant was nice and warm, food was lovely and drink prices very reasonable.

Visited the black Bull recently and boy has the food went downhill. I ordered a small fish and chips, the chips were very crispy and hard and the fish was tiny ( I've saw a bigger sardine! Definitely won't be back!!!

Went with family for high tea to celebrate birthday. Awesome food, amazing service and nice relaxed atmosphere. Outstanding value. Would highly recommend.

Meet a friend who lives on Polmont but do not know area. Went late Sunday afternoon and had a lovely chicken roast and wife being gluten intolerant had a gluten free fish and chips. Both excellent. Beer selection limited but on the whole a very enjoyable experience. Staff excellent.

Staff come in your room whilst you are away, don’t provide a sign post to say whether you want them to come in. No hot water in a bathroom you pay for - don’t come here. I would give it 0 if I could.

This is my mate’s local and what a smashing little place it is. It’s worth a visit simply to peruse the sporting paraphernalia but there’s a good selection of beers too. The only downside, a distinct and disturbing lack of any CPFC memorabilia although I did promise the barman I’ll send him something whereupon he popped out to buy some Swan Vestas! 😉

Für eine Nacht war es gerade so in Ordnung. Wir hatten zunächst kein Handtuch auf dem Zimmer. Wir hatten auch kein eigenes Badezimmer, mehrer Zimmer müssen sich ein Bad teilen. Wichtig für Frauen: es war kein Föhn vorhanden auch nicht bei Nachfrage. WLAN ging auch nicht, Netzwerk wurde bei keinem Gerät gefunden. Wir würden hier nicht nochmal übernachten. Kam ziemlich unorganisiert vom Personal gesehen rüber.

Old inn near but not too near to motorway. Good bar with excellent food, welcoming atmosphere. Only 15 miles from the airport. No en suite facilities, but an almost-private bathroom on the same floor or half a flight down. Car park behind inn in maze of side streets.

Black Bull besteht aus drei Teilen: Einem urigen Pub, einem kleinen Hotel und einem Abendrestaurant. Das Essen ist landestypisch, ordentlich und nicht sehr teuer. Der Pub hat uns am besten gefallen. Es war sehr leicht, in die Gesprächsrunden aufgenommen zu werden. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Die Zimmer waren groß und ordentlich ausgestattet. Der Ort ist sehr klein. Es ist ratsam, sich einen Tisch zum Abendessen zu reservieren. Edinburgh ist gut mit dem Auto oder dem Bus zu erreichen. Zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie etwa die Kelpies und der Linlithgow-Palace liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe.Es gibt kein Frühstück im Hotel, aber in einem nahegelegenen Familienrestaurant (Full scottish breakfast buffet).

We were let down by an on-site booking company and made enquiries at the Black Bull. The staff were amazing, they introduced us to a retired police detective who made various efforts to try and find our accomodation, both by phone and the web. He managed to find us a room for the night. The food is excellent and resonnably priced. Lynda the hostess is absolutely fantastic. We will be going again

We stumbled across The Black Bull after leaving Melrose Abbey. I got on trip advisor and found this restaurant and we decided to try it out. We are SO happy we did! The inside is clean and so cute! There was a fire in the fireplace going and it felt so cozy. Our server was so friendly and helpful! He helped me choose a beer and also helped us with our dessert choice. We talked about St. Andrews and what golf course is actually the oldest course. Our food was AMAZING! I had the Black Bull Steak Pie and my boyfriend had the shepherds pie. Both were served hot and tasted wonderful! I highly recommend either. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding. Save room for this dessert!!!

We had a lovely lunch at the Black Bull I had the breaded fish which was delicious and the coating nice and crispy with hand cooked chips and pees, the decor is lovely since it was refurbished with a tartan theme. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Well cooked, tasty food and the service is swift and friendly. Only two vegan mains offered, but both were to a very high standard.

Purchased an ItIsOn voucher as if heard good things about The Black Bull since it's refurbishment. The deal was of very good value, offering a 2 course meal for 2 and a glass of wine each (or soft drink).

I went here with my mother on a quiet Monday lunchtime, using a great value Itison voucher which included 2 courses and a glass of wine (or soft drink). Booking was very simple with very quick responses by email. The choices on the set menu were very good, I could have had anything, the portions were very generous and the food tasty. Service was slick and friendly, the drinks seem reasonably priced and the decor in the restaurant is very tasteful, including a really nice fire. I will be back!

Had a great meal on Saturday evening with family and served by a very pleasant and efficient waitress. I would highly recommend the battered fish and chips. Will definitely be back soon.

Heard they were starting afternoon teas so went down to try them.Have been to a few places and they were certainly in my top 5. Great bread for the sandwiches, lovely sausage rolls, good sized scones and a variety of cakes. Great value at £10 per person. The staff were freindly and helpfull and a thank you to Lisa for organising this for us.

Fantastic fish and chips the best batter i have tasted. Service good fresh piping hot food. I'll definitely be back soon

Stopped in for dinner for the first time since it changed hands and the food was good. There’s a wide range and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had a very nice lasagne, while the fish, mushroom risotto and chilli all looked good.

Looking for somewhere to eat on our way from Glasgow to Aberdeen, found this wee gem. There were only a few regulars in when we went for dinner - Food exceeded expectations. Mac & cheese, steak pie and scampi - All delicious, staff were nice too.

Hard to believe a local Pub has such terrific food. The restaurant has only 35 seats but the 2 ladies running it could run the Ritz. Incredibly good on every level. aaaand the Public Bar was full of welcoming locals and good beer.

It has been some time since we visited the black bull and we were very pleasantly surprised by the refurbishment. We were served immediately by our waitress asking for our drinks Oder and then for our meal. Our meals were served within a decent time limit and were very good. It began to get a bit busy and of course noisy as the evening progressed. We were certainly impressed with the food and the service and would certainly return.

Everybody pleased with their lot here. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich got top marks in our party. Fish and chips got decent feedback too so all in all everyone satisfied with their lot. Parking handy and plentiful at the side of the pub.

Thought we would try The Black Bull using an Itison voucher . Saturday evening. Very welcoming, lovely and warm inside. The food and service was excellent, good sized portions and for an extra £5.00 you can have a fillet steak. Will definitely return.

Ordered a beefburger from evening menu when meal arrived presontation looked good .but upon cutting in to my burger I found it to be raw and I do mean raw and cold , I am a chef myself and have been in the catering trade all my life surely a probe should be in use...that aside may I say the rest of the staff could,nt have been nicer to us ,just a really poor meal spoiled the night .would still drink in pub but won't be back for food.

Went in m i d afternoon and had the place to ourselves (6 people). The food was very good and service excellent.

We went here for dinner but left without a coffee or dessert. Unfortunately, the noise level was much too high for us so we were in a hurry to leave. The deicibels were shoved up after our arrival or we would not have gone here. The food was good but it was spoilt by the overly loud music which made it impossible to talk to each other.

Went for breakfast this morning worst breakfast I have ever had staff were very unfriendly asked for some items of my breakfast and the staff said she did not want to tell the chef as he will shout at her, after some time the breakfast came out completely wrong toast just crumbled like it had been lying there for hours, bacon was like brick hard I had beans came with them and the waitress said can you just move them to the side and chef will not be happy if I take it back so just eat around the beans, no staff came over to ask if everything was ok with the breakfast . We then went to pay for the rubbish breakfast and the staff was so bad manners. FACT worst place for breakfast ever

My wife and I popped in here for tea one night. It's the first we had been for a while and it was great. Staff are really friendly and efficient. The food is nicely cooked and presented.

1st visit as heard food was great but it was awful ! Lasagne was a pool of oil, chips were last week's left overs and coleslaw was warm and claggy. Left most of it but waitress didn't even ask what the problem was. Yes I could have complained at the time but wouldn't have changed my review and certainly wouldn't have been provided with anything better

Four of us arrived yesterday evening (Sat) at about 20.10 after spending a few hours husband and son driving furniture from Aberdeen to Polmont to our Son and his Fiancée 's new home in Polmont and us helping them settle in as best we could before we headed out to have some food and Drink in the local Black Bull Restaurant. We hadn't booked a table or phoned in advance so didn't know if we were too late for food or not , however we were advised we were still in time to have food. We had 3 different meals , 1 large Beef Burger with all the trimmings1 large portion of Chicken Fajitas 1 large Chicken Breast Stuffed with Haggis homemade Fries and Broccoli and baby corn with gorgeous Peppercorn Sauce1 Large Chicken Breast Stuffed with Haggis and Homemade Mash , Broccoli and Baby corn again with Peppercorn SauceWith extra portion of Battered onion RingsOh my Goodness the Food was amazing it was so good I forgot to take photos of the meals before tucking in. Also the staff could not have been more friendly or attentive to our needs . The food and drinks we had were extremely reasonably priced. There was also Karaoke going on in the bar and in no way did this interfere with the ambiance where we were seated near to the bar . The restaurant was clean and well decorated . We will definitely return when we visit our Son and his Fiancée again .I know our son has a great friendly place to go now for a drink and a meal close to his doorstep. Food bad. Staff sooo terrible at there job. Food is over priced bar food. Really I can't say much more than that as nice as the decor is the staff and food let it down dramatically!! Sorry folks avoid

It was OK but really nothing special. I had the chilli and mum had a burger. I preferred my own chilli and mums chips were very dry. We noted a few people around us left quite a lot of their meals. Wouldn't rush back.

We love it here as so friendly and good atmosphere. The food is always tasty and reasonably priced and we come here often as a family. It's been recently decorated and looks fab.

Restaurant part of the pub is very cosy and surprisingly modern. Staff were all very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, menu was varied. Very reasonable prices, 2 pints and 2 soft drinks with 2 courses each totalled £31. Would return again and recommend for a casual meal.

We have stayed in Polmont for a long time, and for some reason, have not visited the Black Bull for an evening meal. { we have been missing out!!}We had friends arrive, and we decided we would go out and eat somewhere close at hand, we all agreed on the Black Bull. [excellent choice}This is pub grub, but deserves our five star rating based on our level of satisfaction.Very pleasantly greeted, shown to our table, menu's supplied, drinks order taken, advised on the "special of the day" and all four of us made our selections.Smaller portions available { well done} 3 of us asked for the larger portions one person requested the smaller portion, however on delivery at the table all four portions were large. When we pointed out that one of the party had requested a smaller portion, we were just advised to go ahead with our meal, and one of the portions would be charged at the smaller size, and it was. Thank you.Very attentive/ friendly service, very good food, and generous portions. Not at all expensive, and newly decorated surroundings to sit in, and enjoy a good meal.We often travel further afield, and are sometimes disappointed.We now know we have an excellent eating place, right on our doorstep.Thank you for your service, we will be back.ALISTAIR..

Had dinner here tonight glad to see the menu back to what it was previously, food was fab the lasagne and thai curry particularly good. Few drinks in the bar afterwards good atmosphere with pleasant chatty staff, will return!

Excellent lunchtime meal which consisted of a great burger really meaty like home made,washed down with a nice glass of wine the prices are not cheap but good for what quality you ate getting the bull lounge has just been redecorated and looks really smart.

My first time visiting here on Friday night. I was using a voucher I had won at a fund raising night for my grandson's football team. We had booked with it being a Friday night, I would suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment at the weekend.The choice on the menu was great, the food was delicious and plentiful. Small portions are available on selected dishes which is good for customers who don't have a big appetite. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they are a credit to the owners.We will def be returning soon. So thanks for your kind raffle donation as its given us a new place to go for dinner.

Went this week,had battered Haddock and Chips, batter looked lovely and crisp, but they had not drained the fat with the result that the fish had a lovely crisp batter on top, and a soggy bottom, and they had placed fish on top of chips which resulted in soggy greasy chips. And my pet hate, carrots and sweet corn do NOT go with Fish and Chips. Also quite expensive.

Our B&B recommended this pub. The food was great and the staff and locals very friendly. Very enjoyable evening. Thanks!

We booked a table for 5 p.m. last night and arrived on time, but were sent to a wooden-seated table although a couch-table was free.Minutes later a couple came in who hadn't made a booking.They were seated at the empty couch-table and then had their orders taken and were served before us.We had little contact from the staff who were not as friendly as we have experienced on past visits.Very disappointing.......

Brilliant food, steak pie in particular! Always a relaxed atmosphere and never any hassle. Probably due to the friendly staff who take time to have a bit of conversation and a laugh. Don't think I'll ever stop coming here!

Me and a few friends went in for a quick dinner and was greeted upon entry by Andrew, I think the duty manager. Was very pleasant and helpful giving us the days specials. Me and my friend opted for the steak pie whilst another went for the balmoral chicken. Meals were out within 20 minutes and they couldn't be faulted, every time we needed a drink Andrew was there to help. Once the bill was brought round we were surprised at how little it came too, great value for money. Very pleased customer who will be back definitely.

We went to the Black Bull for an evening meal as a group of seven expecting a good meal.However, we were very disappointed in the food quality and the length of time taken to receive the food.The breaded mushrooms were three in number on the plate and were clearly frozen mushrooms, as they were very watery when cut open.The main courses were no better, in fact the "haggis neeps and tatties" could have came from the corner shop, as when I started to eat my meal the haggis was flavourless and luke warm, the "tatties were no better and the "neeps" were stone cold with particles of ice, which I told the waiter to remove and not bother to replace. The kids sausage and mash were equally as luke warm..When we complained, the manager amazingly admitted that the food was "microwaved"...I was stunned at this...I inquired if his "chef" actually owned a food thermometer and even bothered to check if the food was at the correct temperature.The response was that he was insulted that I thought the food was frozen...I informed him that I was insulted that he coud serve up such poor quality food...The "compensation for a ruined night was a £20 voucher to come back..!!!Not going to happen and I don't know anyone whom I dislike enough to give them the voucher to use..!!The Black Bull has went down drastically, as they used to be very good for a place to eat....I most certainly will never use this place again...

Visited here as a last minute decision and managed to get a table for the 3 of us. Straight away the service was faultless, (especially the young male waiter with the glasses, he is a credit to you)We ordered chicken nachos to share and the portion was huge. Probably not order a starter the next time as we struggled to finish or mains.For mains we ordered the special which was Thai red curry, steak fajitas and the haddock. All dishes were delicious and plentiful. Although we didn't have desserts they looked great so will def try them next time.The bill came to £47.30 for one starter, 3 mains, 2 gin & tonics, 1 Diet Coke, 2 soda and lime and half a lager shandy.We will definitely be returning again.

Couldn't be bothered cooking and no food in as we were just back from holidays. I had steak pie. Wife had haggis Neeps and tatties. Mother in law had smoked haddock. Daughter had lasagne. We all said that it was very good. Especially the haggis.

The Black Bull is just down the road from my mother's house and this is our 'go to' place when I'm visiting and we can't be bothered to cook. Offers a wide range of great value, straightforward pub meals which are always freshly cooked and very tasty; there's something for everyone here. They do a £10 Steak Night here on a Thursday; I'm usually pretty fussy when it comes to steak as so few restaurants seem to understand what 'rare' means but I can rely on these guys to cook it perfectly every time. The menu has recently been revamped with a curry, fish and steak of the day on offer. The restaurant itself is small, usually busy but with a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Considering I have eaten here dozens of times in the past, I have never had a bad meal. I have previously been as part of larger groups and the service is always prompt, with food arriving piping hot. There is a good selection on offer for small children and they readily provide smaller portions of adult meals for my elderly nana.The bar area next door is also really nice with a good selection of reasonably priced drinks and I often pop in to watch the football if I'm in the area (free Scotch pie at half time!) The entrance to the bar area is separate to the restaurant so the latter is nice and quiet, with no drunken revelers staggering past as you enjoy your meal.I always look forward to my next visit.

My husband and I went out for a quick evening meal. We both fancied the traditional cheese burgers, we were advised of the cooking time and decided to order bruschetta to share and fill in the time. The bruschetta tasted light and fresh. The burgers were amazing in taste and gigantic in size, I couldn't finish my meal yet my husband managed to scoff the lot! We look forward to our next visit.

Went here with friends and enjoyed the food. We were staying at a nearby hotel nut fancied a change. Honest food not played about with but not sure its home made! Home cooked maybe. Haggis fritters were tasty and macaroni cheese was good. OH had balmoral chicken which he said was OK. Not for a 'special' meal but OK for what we wanted that evening. And Wales won the footbal!

Pub food as it should be, fresh, tasty and uncomplicated, with something to suit everyone. There's always a warm welcome. In an area where there's not that many eating places to choose from, you will not feel you're just settling for a pub lunch - it's worth the trip!

The restaurant has separate access from the pub, on the left of the property. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly.

Fabulous tasting food for an amazing price. The staff were very welcoming and always at hand for refills etc. I loved the homey feel to the place, seems it is full or regulars who keep returning! I think I'll be one of them too now.

Visited the Black Bull three times within last the four weeks. First time with a friend, just for a coffee, which was delicious. We were made so welcome. Went with my husband last Sunday to see what the food was like. It was delicious and so fresh. I had the prawn salad with salsa, which was very spicy and was advised to ask for it on the side next time. The prawns were succulent. Today, went for a birthday lunch and all of us enjoyed our meals. Two of us had the special - hake on a bed of saute potatoes and green beans with pesto. The hake was perfectly cooked. We all agreed that the desserts were yummy. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Been a few times and the service and food only make you want to go back. The staff are so friendly and genuinely keen to make your visit worthwhile its lovely. The bar is cracking to move onto also, friendly, busy and great wee atmosphere.

Was passing through the area and stopped to have what we thought would be a nice meal due to the reviews on this website. The restaurant was very busy and we were ushered into a table at the back for two right beside another table. After 15 minutes of waiting we finally got our order taken. I ordered the lasagne and my friend had the balmoral chicken. Food arrived, I've never seen such oily lasagne in my life and under the sauce of the balmoral chicken just looked like a big dump of mash potato thrown underneath it. We got checked on once by a waitress that was running around like a headless chicken, and who we could hear bad mouthing other members of staff as we were right next to the bar. We were going to order a dessert but after such appalling service and the way staff spoke about each other we will not be returning and we will be warning people of the poor service here. Only 3 stars because it was JUST scraping average.

Went out for the usual thur night date night we like to try different places lately been from Stirling to linlithgow and tonight decided to try local and we were not disappointed Went for steak and burger they were cooked to perfection huge compliment to the chef and the staff were outstanding made us feel so welcome and a big shout out to the young boy Working ( think he was called jordan) his service was outstanding for his age and can see this boy going far in this industry as working in this industry for over 20 years I know how hard it can be but thank to you all for making our Date night an amazing night defo be back soon X

Came here yesterday with my partner for some lunch. Been here numerous times and each time has been excellent. For starters I had the melted cheddar potato skins and my partner had the black pudding and chorizo. Absolutely lovely and quick arrival, for mains I had the crunchy chicken burger with added cheese and bacon and my partner had the steak pie. Again came in good time and the chicken burger portion was HUGE and delicious, chicken cooked perfectly, my partner said it was one of the best steak pies he has ever had, I tried some of the meat from it, lovely and tender and flavoursome. Lastly we shared the hot chocolate fudge cake which was incredible, so rich and very good quality. If you are ever looking for a guaranteed amazing meal, at a very reasonable price with lovely staff and a great atmosphere, the Black bull is the place to go

My wife and I never seem to be suprised whenever we pop into the Bull. We decided to book last minute on valentines weekend and were squeezed in a bustling lounge. I had the fish special which was amazing and my wife had the ever tasty fajitas. We have tried other local restaurants and left disapointed but the Blackbull has never let us down.

My husband and I visited on a sat afternoon we were passing threw glad we stopped. We both had the fillet steak ciabatta and the chunks of meat you got on it were delicious. The staff were friendly as well. If I was passing threw again we would definitely go back

Visited on Saturday night with my family. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Most had steak pie, I had fajitas which were very tasty. Service was great and staff were really friendly. Prices are good too Cannot fault this place. Will definately be returning here soon :)

5 of us decided to eat here for our Christmas night out as one of our party requires gluten free food and they cater for Coeliacs in this pub. 3 of us had a three course meal with coffee/tea and 2 had a two course meal with coffee and drinks all around including a bottle of wine. The cost of the meal came to approx £120 for us all. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Absolutely stuffed!! I have been here a few times for a meal and each time I have never been dissapointed.

Visited Black Bull (on the strength of Trip Adviser rating) whilst travelling through the area, intending to enjoy a bar supper at around 7:45 on a miserable Wednesday evening. Left hungry, surprised and disappointed after being informed by the barman that the kitchen shuts at 7:30, Monday through Thursday.

My partner and I visited the black bull after a recommendation from friends. The food was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly will definitely be returning in future and recommending to others.

Food and service excellent in this very welcoming establishment. From the bar staff to the waiting staff, couldn't be nicer. Steak was one of the best I've tasted and under £20 which is incredible. All in all, a very nice experience. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Went in on a cold wet night for a hot fresh meal, and must admit it was so lovely!The staff are all really nice and served by a young helpful waitress who was so polite and helpful.One in our group had a burger that was so huge it nearly had her eye out!The steak pie was soft melt in the mouth and the fish either battered or breaded my friend had breaded and said it was better than the one she had at the Anstruther Fish and chip bar!We will be back again when next in the area.We appreciate nice staff and the young waitress was so nice to my friend's young Daughter.It most certainly is not an 'average' pub meal as some older grump has put on......

Popped in on Wednesday evening as I was looking for a pub showing Champs League on BT Sport.Our hotel - the Inchyra Grange - didn't have it.Two of us at and both opted for the black bull burger ; a meaty offering with a black pudding centre... smashing.Good atmosphere, some interesting local characters.Didn't make it into the restaurant as we ate in the bar but looked warm and inviting. Nice selection of the more popular malts.I opted for a large Highland Park to round off the meal and this was priced accordingly Good option if you are in the area

Wife and I dropped in for an evening bar meal. Got immediately ushered into the only table for 2 which was fine but we wondered why as there were other more spacious tables available and not reserved. Strange. Anyway, my wife had the burger with bacon and cheese. One of the best she's had. Came medium/well done - the way she likes it. I had the steak pie which was so so. Portion fine but meat a little dry and tasteless. Shame. Although the menu doesn't say so, it came with chips/potatoes and veg but the broccoli wasn't edible. Oh well! Table service was excellent but bar service was poor. I stood there for 5 mins while the barman served a gentleman and the 2 barmaids chatted. Was I invisible? Anyway, an average bar meal had in an average setting.

Its been a wee while since our last visit. Really good quality food, prices a bit higher but can appreciate why. Staff are lovely and friendly, great with our little one and not fussed when she launched food about (she is only 15 months).Would recommend to others and not hesitate to return.Also, am super exicited to hear that the same team have purchased the old Craiglea which had nosed dived in terms of the food. Check out their facebook page and the pictures look amazing. We stay in the estate opposite so will definitely be regulars if the standard is the same as the Black Bull. Also know that they will be having a proper bar area which is where the Craiglea failed and will be showing sky and bt sport. Hurry Hurry please!!!!

Visited here at short notice on a saturday night. Managed to get a table without booking. Staff were friendly.Food was tasty although portions meagre considering prices. I say this because looking at tables around me potion size seemed to be variable. I did purchase and was charged a standard portion but what arrived would be more suiting to a small appetite portion. This is the only time i have ever had a pub meal and left still hungry.
