Neighbour recommended - nice pub decorative wise but the swearing was bad and unnecessary from men perched at the bar. One of the barmaids chewed gum throughout the time we were there - cant remember last time we saw that in a pub -very unpleasant and rude.

A small pub with local appeal which has had a face-lift which improves the atmosphere. The pub will, as you would expect, also serve hot drinks. There is live TV showing sports and can get busy during popular events. We called in during a late lunch time and found seats easily but were disturbed by the loud and offensive swearing of the locals which spoiled our visit. This may be OK for some but not all. Of course the landlord would find it difficult to limit this, for us, bad language.

Popped in for a quick pint on way home, pub quite full but not packed only 1 person serving and she seemed more interested in chatting to the locals. Eventually I was served with a pint of Timothy Taylor's landlord, to be fare it tasted awful ,not as it should. Dirty pipes maybe. I only drank about a third of it before leaving,Won't be popping in again, shame as the beer is one of my favourites.

Wanted to join a pub quizz spontaneously tonight with my partner and it was quite tough to find a quiz around the area on a tuesday night. When calling this pub to check if they had one on, the person on the phone (sorry not sure who I spoke to) delivered a great customer service, was friendly and professional. When coming to the pub, we received a warm welcome by Sarah and she delivered an excellent service from the beginning. So did Ruby and the Italian lady. So thanks to you three! Joined the pub quizz hosted by Pete which was fab and will join again soon. The crowd had a nice vibe. The pub is cute, cosy and typically english looking which I love. The toilets were cleaned too👌🏻. We ordered food which was ok. Happy to discuss feedback directly with the team if they wish. Anyway, thank you all and we will be back!

Girls who walk lunch gathering - Tudors restaurant was recommended and booked on as a Groupon Steak and Prosecco deal. Not being a steak eater, this was swapped out for Fish and chips and was no problem for our accommodating waiting staff. Starter (Not part of the deal) was Shrimps with garlic butter and bread. Whilst this was quite enjoyable - the Grease from the garlic butter was excessive and not conducive for a pre-diabetic diet. The mains - Fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce. Was plentiful and chips nice and fluffy. The fish was not In my opinion fresh and the batter was over done. The mushy peas was dry and bland and I did not eat it or the Tartare sauce. Dessert (Not part of the deal) was Vanilla Ice cream and a welcomed treat on such a hot day/weather. All in all I was disappointed with the food and felt it was "Just okay". Will I visit again? The jury is out. Thanks for the friendly service though.

Friendly staff, and possibly the best Guinness in town. Good quality live music on Saturday. Challenge the Landlord to solve some physics-inspired puzzles
