This is amazing pub we went to last night we had amazing food and drink. Would recommend to friends and family

Lovely, lively pub in a beautiful location. Good selection of alcoholic anbd non-alcoholic drinks. The menu is delicious, a good range of specials with runny scotch eggs made in house!! DJ in the garden every Saturday!!

Disappointed. 3 because I never got to try the food and it appeared to have a good atmosphere. Went to order and they were out of most meats, that's okay, I changed my order and went to pay cash, worker says sorry, we don't take 50's, company policy. Well most establishments are begging to be paid in cash given the economy and high credit card processing fees.

The menu has something for everyone. All staff were polite, food was amazing.

it’s the WORST place I’ve ever been. There are 2 women working there. They are the most rude and disrespectful people I have ever seen in my life. They are disgusting. A place where rude people work, a disgrace. Never go!

We have come here on numerous occasions to have a bit to eat.nice to see a new menu the steak and ale pie was lovely and the sirloin meal was enjoyable.staff are always friendly and helpful.last time we popped in I had ribeye steak with long clawblue cheese sauce very lovely.and the steak cibatta bread was good as always food is very good.

Just had a quick drink at The Bishop's Mill in Salisbury and loved the vibe! ✨ Really cool setting right by the water – you can hear the gentle rush of the river, which is super relaxing. 🌊 The building itself has a lot of character too. Even though I didn't eat, it definitely looked like a popular spot. Would be a great place to chill with a drink on a nice day. One of the best green king pubs I have been to and I have been to a few!

Nice location with good pub food and fresh Guinness. Unfortunately, given the outside temperature, it was a bit cold in the restaurant and therefore not very comfortable.

Went for a friends birthday and pre booked as it was a Saturday. The food was very nice and a reasonable price. The service was slow despite not being overly busy. There were no dressings for the cocktails which was a shame for the birthday girl. I would go again but I would pre book the food if that was an option as having to wait nearly an hour was off putting

The Bishops Mill has a great vibe (minus all the people vaping) and friendly staff. My peri peri wings were delicious but my steak sandwich didn’t have much flavor unfortunately. Good hangout spot with pub food. The steak and ale pie did look quite tasty.

Service was amazing, ordered through the app and everything was brought over quite quickly despite them being busy at the bar! Lovely staff, highly recommend!

Eating in the garden from April through the summer gives you a luxurious feeling along the river. The Sunday roast was sold out, but the steak, nachos, and garlic toast were all delicious. The staff were also friendly. The prices are also not that high compared to London. I was so full that I couldn't even eat dessert. I highly recommend it if you're having trouble finding a meal in Salisbury.

A really great place and some really, really nice staff. The view from the terrcae is great for sitting by the canal and having a drinking a sunny spring/summer day. 10/10 – reccomend as a pitstop if you're heading towards stonhnege, as it's a 10-minute walk away from the station :)

Lovely pub with the feel of a local but in the heart of the city. Friendly staff and gorgeous food. Eaten here many times and will definitely be back again ! The beautiful garden is a fabulous place to relax with friends over a drink or two.

Terrible Sunday Roast Freezing venue Probably be better in the summer as the location is good. Need to improve on the ordering and more importantly the Roasts Edit : Manager very apologetic about our experience. Acceptable explanation as to why the building is so cool. We accepted a token from the chain. Maybe a future visit in the summer as the gardens and location is fabulous Thanks

Big pub with lots of seating options on two floors, also seating outside by the water. Upstairs can get loud when all the tvs are on. Service was great, really quick and friendly, food was OK.

I ordered a shared chicken plater. The wings and coupons were very dry and definitely not freshly cooked.

This is a lovely old building with real character and it was nice to read about the history of the site. We popped in for lunch after browsing the menu which had some great options, not just standard pub fare. Service was good, prices decent and the tables nicely spaced. A good choice.

I do like the Bishops Mill, it is a lovely old building with a fantastic garden out the front over looking the river amd really close to the centre of Salisbury. The service is always good. I haven't eaten here but it is always full on Saturdays all year round so that must say something good! The garden gets the sun all day long and is a great place to stop.

Came in on Saturday afternoon to watch football and have dinner. Was very impressed with the quality of the turkey dinner and speed of service, though very busy all the staff worked really hard to make everyone have a great time

Decided to visit The Bishop’s Mill, and it was a disaster from start to finish. Half the menu options were unavailable, and the food we did manage to order, lasagne and fish & chips, was well below par. The lasagne was burnt, the fish looked big but turned out to be mostly batter, and both plates of chips were cold on arrival. When we finally got the attention of the staff (who seemed more interested in chatting among themselves), we sent the plates back. The manager returned them with a bad attitude, slapping the plates down on the table and asking if we wanted anything else, which made an already bad situation worse. Awful experience overall. Save your money and head to better and cheaper alternatives like the Wetherspoons opposite or The Bridge Tap instead. Avoid this place at all costs.

I waited patiently for 15mins to be served whilst the staff completely ignored me. I questioned both staff members, one female and one male, was it normal to ignore people waiting to order, to serve there favourites? I asked why they decided to overlook me? The girl just walked away. The guy obviously loves confrontation, as he said are we not busy? Several times over, and over again in a very defensive and aggressive tone.1 deep is not busy. If you haven't got the awareness of people around you or can't cope with the pressure of a trickle of people then perhaps hospitality isn't for you. The service skills and customer service skills, and people skills absolutely non existent, and in 18years of socialising never had I met a member of staff anywhere that I genuinely think he would of had a fight with me if I let it go there. I very rarely write reviews, only when I feel like exceptional service deserves a public mention, or when it is so bad it is down in the gutter, which it was on this occasion. The worst customer service I've ever seen. For future reference, "sorry sir I missed you, what would you like to order?' would be better than verbal abuse .

Had our Christmas meal here. The food was lovely and tasty. Empty plates as we all had 2 or 3 courses. The soup was great and turkey and all the trimmings were great. Staff friendly. Our favourite place to come.

Lovely visit to this pub for some spur of the moment food. A little wait on the food but to be expected as it was quite busy. Food was pub grub which was lovely just what we were looking for. Lovely atmosphere even the staff looked happy working there. Lovely girl behind the bar who even though she was busy took the time to chat with me when I asked about her tattoos. She and another member of staff with blonde hair had a great rappore and appeared to work well together during what could of been a stressful time not all customer's were being polite. I know I couldn't do the job. Will definitely go back when we next visit Salisbury.

Was very pleasantly surprised as was first time visiting in many years. Bustling and busy Sunday lunch. Roast chicken was huge and steak ale pie tasty. From the festive menu duck was delicious. One negative - Mac and cheese portion was very small for a main and they had sold.out of garlic bread. Also dog friendly which was a bonus.

We visited the Bishops Mill on a wet Saturday afternoon and although it was quite busy, we quickly found a table upstairs. After a morning of Christmas shopping it was lovely to sit down in a warm room, on comfortable chairs so we placed our order and looked forward to a hot meal. We ordered the traditional turkey dinner followed by the chocolate caramel tort and to be honest we were a little disappointed with the quantity and quality. The sprouts were watery and chewy (maybe frozen?) and the meat was turkey roll not carved. The cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, carrots and stuffing were all fine but in rather small portions. Similarly the tort portion was small with a skinny slice and half a small scoop of ice-cream - although this was absolutely delicious. Would I visit again? The service was good and the atmosphere was perfect so maybe, but I wouldn't order a roast dinner.

A lovely place to be. Cozy, great food, a nice place to hang out with friends. Seeing lots of people is a proof that they like spending time here. I like the fish and chips, steak, plus cider. Food takes a bit of time but acceptable. it was raining when we arrived. Funny coz it feels romantic 😅😅

Staff were amazing, joyful and friendly. Ordering food and drink was easy using the app and timed to perfection with estimated serving. An added bonus was watching the England vs Australian rugby!! Great atmosphere and look forward to visiting again.

Had an amazing time in here. Watched the football, the staff were lovely especially Chloe. Staff were attentive and even though it was mad busy, they kept on top. Had the seasoned fries and pigs in blankets, delicious

Located in historic Salisbury, this historic building serves well as a pub. Great selection of beers and food. Just be aware that the ground floor has several steps. There is wheel chair access and disabled toilet facilities. Additional seating upstairs however not open upon our visit. Shout out to Chloe at the bar for her service. Soft Crab Burger Special was delicious.

The Bishops Mill is one of the best pubs in Salisbury. I have had the pleasure of drinking and dining in most of the establishments in the city, and I can confirm if you’re in the area and looking for an atmosphere that suits you as a sole traveller, couple or family, this is the place to be. The service is excellent; the range of food and beverage will certainly exceed your expectations. Chloe, who works front of house, is the icing on the cake. Thank you guys, and as a local, I will always choose to come here!

Good little pub overlooking the river Avon, great selection of beers on tap, may seem a little pricey to some people but for the service, the atmosphere and the quality of food and drink can't complain. A massive thank you to chloe giving me and my friends directions to the cathedral such a lovely a bubbly person.

We came across this wonderful building near the river Avon in Salisbury. The staff were friendly and the inside of the venue was interesting with it's two levels. We ordered food as well as drinks. The food took a little time but my children loved their nuggets and chips. The special chicken and mushroom pie which was crusty and delicious. The steak ciabatta was a little disappointing. They asked how you wanted the steak and it didn't come like that. It was also a little cold and the ciabatta wasn't crispy and warm. The app was good for ordering drinks to the table when you needed more. Overall it was a good find and would come back again.

Had a lovely stop in the Bishops Mill. We were very well taken care of by Chloe, who was very knowledgeable about the drinks offering, and recommended the Eton Mess which was lovely! Really nice atmosphere-can clearly see that even on a Sunday night, people love to pop in to the Bishops Mill! Looking forward to stopping in again :)

A fairly average pub meal, sadly. Some of the advertised meals were not available, and the meals were not as advertised, missing vegetables. When we queried this, it was met with a shrug. Eventually we were offered some extra bread…which turned out to be one slice of toast between us! Not good enough. Self service at the bar was okay, given the price. Beers and wines were the best part of an otherwise disappointing experience.
