Had a lovely stop in the Bishops Mill. We were very well taken care of by Chloe, who was very knowledgeable about the drinks offering, and recommended the Eton Mess which was lovely! Really nice atmosphere-can clearly see that even on a Sunday night, people love to pop in to the Bishops Mill! Looking forward to stopping in again :)

Good beer selection and nice outdoor seating by the old mill sluice.

A fairly average pub meal, sadly. Some of the advertised meals were not available, and the meals were not as advertised, missing vegetables. When we queried this, it was met with a shrug. Eventually we were offered some extra bread…which turned out to be one slice of toast between us! Not good enough. Self service at the bar was okay, given the price. Beers and wines were the best part of an otherwise disappointing experience.

Located by the River Avon in the heart of the City with large seating areas inside and outside on the patios. We visited in September after most of the holiday or visitors have gone but the pub was still quite busy. I rated the food 5 star as Pub Grub which I favour. A proper home style steak pie lovely. Excellent range of real beers too.

Nice pub. Food is ok. Sadly missed out on a Sunday roast and opted for the pie. Children chose different options and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Great for football and also dog friendly. Great garden

Beautiful pub set in an old water mill, right next to the river. The decor was classy, the brews were refreshing and the atmosphere was great. We came in early afternoon for a pint, just before the game, pub was bustling with people getting ready to watch the match. We enjoyed our pit stop.

Always a relaxed atmosphere sitting outside next to the river. Wide selection of beers and ciders. Dog friendly if your best friend has four legs.

Went there on Saturday afternoon for drinks and (what was supposed to be) food. I could not believe the lack of organisation behind the bar. I stood there waiting to be served for 10 minutes whilst watching other people push in front of me. The bar staff didn't seem to understand the concept of what a pint looked like, and so stopped pouring at around an inch from the top of the pint glass. Food was ordered but forgotten about, so we had to order twice. Despite the best efforts by the staff to ensure chaos, an appalling lack of professionalism, and a terrifying lack of intelligence, the atmosphere was good; hence the 2 stara. Nothing to do with the staff of course but due to the good people of Salisbury enjoying the football, drinks and a sunny afternoon. I was visiting Salisbury from the same county as Greene King (Suffolk) and, on the whole GK pubs are well run. This however, needs a complete reset, starting with training staff on how to pour a pint, the concept of queuing and how to take food orders; none of these should be particularly difficult to carry out. On my next visit, I'll be spending my money at the other well known chain next door, and suggest that you do the same. This shower don't deserve your money. Thanks for reading.

The food (hamburgers) could very well be improved, burnt meat, little flavor. Fair quantity for the price. The pub itself is well decorated and located in a nice location. I will not repeat.

Shocking. Service is slow and directionless. Food is overcooked and takes forever. Horribly deep-fried chicken keivs. Oily. Go elsewhere.

Price-performance fits 100%. Large portions and very tasty food. Very nice and attentive staff. We felt very comfortable.

We have come here on numerous occasions to have a bit to eat.nice to see a new menu the steak and ale pie was lovely and the sirloin meal was enjoyable.staff are always friendly and helpful.

Great beer garden, pleasant atmosphere.

Tried it by chance. Good cooking. Free water from the dispenser. Clean bathrooms and amenities. You order at the bar counter and wait for the waiter (1 hour wait, but let us know in advance before booking). Place both inside and outside (for smokers, lots of smoke smell). Stunning, evocative location.

Absolutely amazing. Would recommend again (Food, didn‘t try drinks). Burger was very good. Fish and chips was wonderful, mac n‘ cheese surprisingly filling. Nice ambiente, feels steampunk-y. Good job!

Bishops Mill in Salisbury is a brilliant pub in Salisbury🍻

Wasn't there too long, fairly typical city pub, but in a converted mill, so had a little bit of character. Busy but not rowdy even though it was Saturday night.

I have eaten here a few times now and the setting is lovely by the water, and service is really good. We was served by Megan and she was brilliant. Will be returning very soon :-)

There is no parking 🅿️. The atmosphere is great. Walking distance from Salisbury Cathedral.

Ordered the special at 5:30 pm and was told they didnt have it (out of the special that early in the evening?). Food was terrible. Nothing was very seasoned, it was bland. The fried chicken sandwich i ended up with was a fried piece of shoe leather, totally inedible. Staff was very friendly and nice (offered a free round of drinks to make up for food). Atmosphere was ok but kind of commercial. Stick to drinks and pretend you are in a real pub.

It was my first experience at Bishops Mill today and I was served by Conrad and Rosie. They were absolutely delightful, very attentive and made me feel so welcomed. Definitely recommend this place.

Such a wonderful place for a drink or dine. I really like the beer garden at riverside. Nice decor inside when you entered. Arranged everything very well. Everything was awesome until I was waiting at bar to be served and keep waiting because the bar guy was busy in chatting about football. Anyhow been served without smile because football chat never goes well 😜. I got drinks for me and friends. We enjoy the drinks in lovely atmosphere and decide to have dinner from somewhere else because of bad service. That time I thought company invest money to make this place out standing and the staff is putting everything down. What a shame.

The bishops mill is a lovely pub. Loads of outdoor seating space, a great variety of beers and the food was delicious! The bar staff were friendly and the prices were good. Sitting outside is great as there is a stream and makes for a really nice atmosphere.

it was tucked in a little hideaway that took you back in time. the burger was amazing. best I've had in a long time. you could look in any direction and feel like you were back in time.

This is a Green King pub. The menu is not your usual gastro pub. The food was good and was not overly expensive. It's worth a visit if you're in the area.

Don't bother wasting your time giving your details on website for a free pint.takes your details then you get told you can't have a drink

Solid 3 star. Staff don’t talk to eachother about who is serving who. Bring you food; then say “oh I’ll get you some Cutlery” . Also, ask where the menus are - “oh they are at the front door” Had a mac and cheese and side Salad. The second I’d finished the side salad the chap pounced “oh I’ll just clear that for you” - however there was some mayo left I wanted, and was only half way through the Mac. Dude just chill and let me eat. Solid 3 star would go again, but prob only for belt fed boozy beers
