The food was well prepared and served well. There was no rush to finish one course before another. The staff were very friendly without being overly fussy. Ate here 3 nights in a row and all food was a great pleasure to sample. Well worth a visit.

Quality of the food ok. Most dishes had a lot of sauce, not so much of the main ingredients ie Chicken or Prawns. Food Hygiene rating of 2! Needs to improve on that..overall ok, but I have had much better.

Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had, popadoms were burnt, all the food/sauces tasted the same and we ordered several different dishes. One of the dishes had a chicken drumstick in it!!!! And the tail of a prawn but no prawn!! The food was cold and extremely greasy. Food rating on the door is a 2. Waiter was extremely apologetic but obviously we won’t be returning.

A hidden gem. 💎 This is by far the best Indian food we’ve ever had and I highly recommend the Dansak and the Special Tikka Masala! Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews. We spent £140 on a takeaway. Would not accept cards only cash 🤬 The food was very poor quality, utterly tasteless, lacking any flavour at all. Not one dish was marked as to contents, which caused much merriment. Rice was ok, nans no better than average. Pappadums, were old, chutneys were very average, one being ‘blood sauce’. Only one any good was the onion, hard to get that wrong. More than 50% went in the bin, it was that bad. Total wasted money. Highly NOT recommended.

Highly enjoyable Indian takeaway with a great selection of vegetarian options. Good value and large portions. Only criticism would be that the paneer was slightly dried out and tough, otherwise a great meal.

Really excellent style of cooking which blends ingredients and flavours but no into a mixed up mush which sometimes can be the case. Generous portions. We've had a few takeaways from Bilash recently, we swapped to them from our more local Indian restaurant because they just didn't bother trying anymore, I think because we used them every time. In our last takeaway from Bilash they gave the wrong naan bread and this time forgot our rice. My husband went back to get it but unfortunately didn't check the bag properly and they'd missed the mint sauce and onion too. I did call them and they tried to say well the poppadoms were foc. They were not, we ordered and paid for them. I was told, next time you come we'll sort you out. Well there won't be one.

We go here pretty often and buy take away meals from this Indian, the food is allways spot on and they are very good at spicing it to your liking, The big problem with this restaurant is that it is very tired and in great need of a refurb, its a very dirty carpet and the toilets need a revamp also, we would defiantly eat here more often if it would only get a nice fresh refurbish. Greaqt food not so good place to sit and eat.

Ordered a takeaway from this lovely restaurant last night. Absolutely delicious. It's rare we find an Indian my partner enjoys (only eats chicken Tikka masala!) But Bilash impressed us both. Only shortfall was that our rice was missed off our order. I live 5 miles away so didn't fancy going back so didn't bother calling to highlight this to the restaurant, this is the only reason for the 4stars, not 5. If I had called or returned I'm sure that they would have delt with it for me. Will return, hopefully for a sit down meal next time!

Quiet in the restaurant but take away trade was busy- so we were a bit too aware of the chatting of the staff and the take away customers but that's because it's small inside. We will never be frequenting Bilash again as the service and quality has gone downhill a lot, which is reflected in there recent Food Hygiene scores which were a two (2). The creepy owner and waiter were more interested in what we did for a living, where we lived and other personal questions. The food base that was used all tasted the same no matter what dish you ordered and if you asked for the dish to be spiced all they did was add an extra chilli or two and consider that spiced. Most of the meat dishes had a lack of meat in them more tomatoes than meat which is a takeaways very sly way of having to put less ingredients into your dishes. We will in future be sticking to our regular in Bridgnorth as every time we have tried The Bilash something always ends up wrong with the order. It’s highly recommended by locals as it is the only Indian in the town. Not recommended by use at all.

I've had several main course takeaways from the Bilash this summer but I won't be revisiting. On the last occasion I ordered a prawn balti. The prawns were hard, rubbery and seriously over-cooked which ruined the dish. My friend's chicken tikka masala was an intense and off-putting ruby red colour; and a vegetable passanda was dense and stodgy with large unappetising chunks of potato. On a previous visit a prawn korma was overly sweet and the sauce had a grainy unpleasant texture. At the time I shrugged my shoulders and thought well, I just made a bad choice. However, after last night's experience my faith in this restaurant is lost. I couldn't eat more than a few tablespoons of either of my choices. Rice and naan bread were average but overall I thought it was poor value at over £30 for three of us. I will be getting my takeaways from a place in Whitburn Street, Bridgnorth from now on!

We had supper mid week in the only 'curry house' in town.. This didn't detract from the quality of the food, which was excellent even by larger, more competitive town standards. My chapatis were really freshly cooked, none of the soggy jobs in a bag direct from a microwave here. The meat & veg dishes were well cooked and not the all too common when there is no competition, meat with sauce added type.

I ordered a take away this evening and fancied a changed from our usual go to (Eurasia in Bridgnorth). I have had one excellent meal from Bilash three years ago, then one not so good but decided to give it another go. I was a little confused on the phone as when ordering was told that a dhansak came with rice and balti came with Nan bread. This was not stated on the menu but had no issue other than it causing some confusion on the phone. When I arrived to collect they were very busy and they seemed quite unorganised. The place is pretty small and it was awkward and tight waiting. While waiting I heard, what I presumed is the owner, explaining to a customer paying that earlier someone had complained to him about his card not being accepted. He claimed it must be the customers bank and the customer had got annoyed with him. I thought nothing of this until I came to pay where my wife's credit card, then my own were both declined. I know the cards were fine so was a little put out. It's always a little uncomfortable if your payment doesn't go through. He turned to another customer waiting saying "your payment went through fine". I asked the customer if he paid with a debit or credit card (thinking about the conversation I had overheard previously). They said debit. I asked the owner if the person who had an issue earlier paid with a credit card and tried to point out he may have an issue with his machine with credit cards. He seemed to ignore this. After a couple more goes with my wife's and my own credit card, which failed, I gave up and paid on a debit card. This went through fine. I tried to point out the the owner there clearly was an issue with credit card payment which he seemed to shrug off saying, after debit payment went through, "I'm happy. Your happy?" On return we were missing the 2 orders of onion salad. The popadoms were a little stale and the onion bajis were lacking flavour and tasted re heated. The Nan breads ( plain and peshwari) were okay but not great. The rice average. My wife had a vegetable dhansak which I asked for mild. She found this too hot and it was very sweet. I had a tandoori mixed balti, vindaloo hot with no prawns. There was a prawn in it and although hotter than a usual balti, was not vindaloo hot. The actual curry was okay but not great. If it had been great I would have looked passed the shocking service but as a result I will not be going there again. Shame as I have had one excellent curry from there in the past but I got the feeling something was up with the payment issue and they were trying to dodge fees possibly. I would not mind if they stated they do not take credit cards but the menu clearly states accepts all major credit and debit cards. All in all the service was bad and the food is much better elsewhere.

The restaurant itself was smart however the lights were on full blast which didn't make a pleasant eating environment. The restaurant was also way to stuffy and hot. The service was odd as they only used one hand at a time, they brought one class of coke, then brought a coffee, then a jug of water. They also brought every bit of our food out one plate at a time which was very odd. One of the waiters decided to great a table by basically shouting at them which was exceptionally odd.

Very friendly team of people and good food. Good menu selection and drinks choices. Open every evening. The food can take a little while as it's freshly prepared

We used to visit the bilash regularly and always enjoyed the warm welcome and good food. We had the opportunity tonight to return as we were travelling back from Shrewsbury. Unfortunately the food quality seems to have deteriorated considerably and now you should expect food that clearly hasn't been prepared freshly and tastes much like some kind of sarsons cook in sauce.Bring back the fresh cooking - it was great a few years back!

Bilash is a very unassuming looking premise - however upon entering the décor is contemporary and stylish and bright as well which is unusual for an Indian - it just works Food hot and generous portions service very good some very friendly waiters. Had to wait a little while for the bill but no dramas so excellent

Food average the place was a bit like " league of gentlemen" average price for a curry was £9 chicken tikka masala was just tomotao soup with a few spices and a dash of cream pretty bland really we had 2 curries 2 portions of rice & 1 plain nann came to £ 30 overpriced the food was mediocre the service average and we was nt made to feel welcome at all Nann & rice was nice The carpet was disgusting & it just felt a bit grubby and tired Won't be returning

I expected to find Much Wenlock to be a place for afternoon tea and English cuisine, and probably it is. What I didn't expect was to find such a good Indian restaurant. The food was well-balanced, not oily (one of my dislikes) and very tasty. I would have no qualms about returning.

We went with our friends, and be be honest I wasn't very impressed with the décor, and wasn't expecting much. I was wrong, the food was served quick and was hot and very tasty and the staff friendly and helpful. Another place well worth another visit.

I eat here quite regularly , and in general , the food is pretty good. I say this , because a couple of years ago - it was dire , but I tried a take away about 6 months ago and was surprised , so now I eat in . Prices are average , drinks are expensive , and most dishes are the same as most other places , but the welcome is warm .Occaisionally the Pappadom are less than crisp , but this is easily sorted with no fuss. This is a small place , and can get busy on a Saturday night , so best book. For me , my dish here is a Jalfrezi , loaded with green chilli.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening after a concert in the church. It was not busy in the restaurant although there was a steady stream of take away customers. This is basically a standard tandoori or balti restaurant, with good attentive service and the range of dishes you would expect. Drinks include a range of Indian beers. Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was hot and tasty and I thought prices were about average for this kind of meal. The interior lacks any kind of ambience and I found the procession of take away customers rather more intrusive than in other restaurants. The meal we had with a main course each, sundries and drinks cost us about £13 each. I've read previous comments and we certainly did not recognise any of the features mentioned in the negative reviews.

We often visit Bilash when we stay with friends in Much Wenlock. It isn't a big room, but doesn't feel cramped. The service is exemplary, being friendly and efficient. The food is pretty standard Indian fare, but none the worse for that. Nicely cooked. If you visit I doubt you will leave disappointed.

I was in the area on Saturday night and googled a Indian restaurant and found this gem. It was early and not main people in but still had to wait a bit. It was worth it. I had Lamb tikka balti with a really tasty Peshwari Nan. The staff were really nice and helpful. shame that they are so far away from where I live. The prices were very good. It is clean inside and well set out. I will try a meal in next time. I will be back.

Went here in a party of seven on a Saturday night in half-term holiday. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was really excellent - I've had a lot of Indian meals and this was one of the best. Restaurant seems to be very popular - it was very busy.

I had a minor issue previously which was more than sorted in my next order. This meal OMG I cannot express how good it was. After my starter I was full half way through the main, but I could not stop, it was that good, so back to licking the dish :)

Used to enjoy Chicken Ceylon but evidently it is not the same dish anymore, perhaps the chef has changed but there is very little evidence of any coconut and it now tastes like any other curry dish. Disappointed.

Not the best, there were four of us and we were all disappointed with the quality of the food, ordered a balti and got a korma, asked for onion rice and got plain boiled rice, portion sizes were small and lacked taste, beer was also expensive and don’t even try the buffet
