The Bickley Mill Inn in Teignbridge

We hadn't been in years just popped in for lunch and a drink we were lucky as it was a sunny bank Holiday Monday we sat in the gardens although these look at the carpark aswell it was really lovely beautiful little sitting areas and plants felt really nice food was nice service was good they had a wedding on but everyone had time for us & was really welcoming we won't wait so long to go back thankyou!

Took my sister in law here for a birthday lunch. They gave us a window table and even a Happy Birthday card from the restaurant, was on the table to greet her. Such a lovely thought. The staff and service was impeccable as was the food and nothing was too much trouble for them. Been years since we had been but soon realised why this is such a special place. Thank you all again for looking after us.

We held our wedding at Bickley Mill on the 1st of May 2025. Taya and all the staff were wonderful. Louise helped so much with the planning in the build up to the event. Many of our guests complimented the staff saying how wonderful they were. The food was delicious and we loved every minute of it. We wish we could do it all again. Beautiful location. A lovely hour spent taking in the sun and surroundings.

The Inn is in the middle of now where. Tricky to find. But it has a large parking and beautiful territory. It suits well to be used as a place for wedding ceremonies. The room and the interior of the hotel are ok except - the towel wasn’t change after the precious guests, it was with brown, yellow and red stains. The mattress was terrible, couldn’t sleep, got pain-back afterwards. If you wish to have a good rest at the end of the day, avoid it. The restaurant - the staff couldn’t list the ingredients and explain clearly the type of the dish. Everything wasn’t tasty for my taste 😅 on dinner. All the food was cheap and definitely not home made or cooked from the scratch. It was cooked in the grocery shop 😂. A Huge Shame for the restaurant and a she. 3 out of 10. Breakfast was ok and was 7 out of ten. So all the hotel is so-so. With its pros and cons. But not for me. If you can find something better, better do it.

We couldn’t have picked a better venue than Bickley Mill for our wedding! The space was absolutely stunning, and the food was incredible — our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. The staff were so helpful, super organised, and made the whole day feel easy and stress-free. Everything from the setup to the service was perfect. Thank you Bickley for making our day so beautiful.

We love working here, it’s such a fantastic venue, we have even held family weddings here ourselves. Such a great value venue.

A fantastic place, can not fault the service, the food is always good. The rooms are really lovely, quiet and decorated well. We have now booked our wedding here in May, and the whole package is faultless.

We had our wedding day here on the 28th December '24, and what an incredible day it was!! We had the winter wedding package, and from start to finish the whole day was amazing, even with last minute changes! Louise, Daisy were brilliant in the planning of the day, and Amy was incredible with the organisation of everything on the day itself! We had our own decor, which we set up for the day before the wedding for the aisle/ceremony, and then the staff worked amazingly to turn the Millers room into the wedding breakfast room, and then the evening reception room also! They used our decor and table design to set up every table, placename and little detail to make the room look and feel exactly how we wanted it, and even better, having all the Christmas decor still up for our wedding day to give it the festive feeling! Everyone commented on how amazing the venue was, and how brilliant the rooms, service and food were equally as amazing! Thank you for our amazing wedding day, Jas and Mitch x

Having stayed the night of my sons wedding in dartmoor room which was very cozy an clean ..the staff was amazing very helpful and friendly..the food was really tasty an locally sourced drinks too good.. two red bulls needed the morning after lol..would highly recommend too anybody thinking of staying there ..thanks for a wonderful stay

We came here to celebrate my sons birthday as we like it here and live quite locally.Food was lovely, beautiful place and never had any issues before. However, this time the girl that served us most of the time was what I would describe as frosty and really didnt seem like she even wanted to be there. We didn't let it spoil our evening but it made us feel uncomfortable. When we walked through after the meal, we said good bye and thankyou. She could barely bring herself to even look up and say bye! Very stuck up and very rude! The other staff members, however seemed lovely. Maybe this individual needs to look for a job that doesn't involve speaking to people!

Had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here in October. A beautiful venue, with lovely staff. So many perfect spaces for photographs, it's a photographer's dream! Hope to photograph here again.

We took friends here for lunch so did not stay. The service was excellent, the soup was exceptional & very unusual, we all had different main courses which were all well presented and delicious. These are such beautiful premises, very tastefully decorated & furnished inside with plenty of outside seating on nice weather days...would highly recommend

Great food in the restaurant and a fabulous wedding location

Bickley Mill was the venue of our wedding ceremony and reception last weekend. From start to finish the whole experience was perfect. Our initial contact was with Daisy and Louise, who were both very helpful and informative with planning and booking our wedding day. When it came to the day of our wedding, Amie was our point of contact for the day. Right from the get go Amie was helpful and kind and really helped to put our nerves at ease. The way that the team ran the day was incredible. All of the guests were in awe of how the 'Miller's Room' was transformed between each stage of the wedding, ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. The food was delicious and each guest we have spoken to since has complimented it! Thank you again to all of the team and especially to Amie for making us feel so comfortable on our big day!

We recently had our wedding day at the Bickley Mill Inn. It's situated in a beautiful location, the staff were exceptional and the food was just incredible! I had the pleasure of staying in the Owl loft the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids. The staff were so welcoming upon arrival, Taya was our wedding coordinator for the weekend and introduced herself as soon as I arrived on the Friday. She couldn't do enough for us. She was always there and ready to help which was so appreciated. We stayed in both the Owl Loft and the Riviera over the course of the weekend and the rooms are beautiful, so clean and homely. It made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day! We would highly recommend a visit for some good food, hosting a special occasion, or a night away! Thank you to everyone at the Bickley Mill Inn for making our wedding day so special, providing the most impeccable food and a comfortable bed to rest our heads after such a special day.

We had our wedding here last week and it was the most perfect day. The venue was stunning especially as the sun was shining and the staff were great from start to finish. They blended into the day keeping things going without anyone noticing. The food was delicious and our guests all commented on what a fantastic day it was. Used this for Newton Abbot races just 12 mins away. Good food and nicely appointed rooms.

I attended my grandsons wedding there and stayed the night. It was wonderful location staff extremely pleasant. Breakfast second to none.

Went for sunday roast. Only beef on the menu, nicely cooked, just one slice, as to be almost tasteless, and one very thin slice. Have had much better sunday roasts locally. Staff lovely, friendly and accomodating though.

Our son got married at your establishment last Saturday and I just wanted say a huge thank you to you and all of your staff . Your attention to detail , the venue , the wedding room , the food , the staff and everything else associated with our precious , memorable family day was impeccable and we would not hesitate in recommending you to others. Went for the evening wedding. Restaurant was busy. Wedding venue was excellent. The food was delicious and the bar was well stocked. Highly recommended

Went with family and had lovely time. Google maps was off and put us in someone house. If see sign go for that. Lovely food and decorated rooms. Very nice

The Bickley Mill is a venue that I always enjoy returning to, to photograph weddings. It offers a really relaxed vibe - the staff are fantastic at looking after everyone but in a really inobtrusive way, so you hardly know they were there. Went for a parents birthday lunch. Lovely inside, lots of character. Most had roast, only one choice of meat, beef, asked for well done, returned meat as to rare, came back with gravy covering the meat! Chewy, not good. Meal quite tasteless. Only about 3 choices of sweet plus ice cream. The sweet was the best thing out of the meal, triple chocolate brownie and ice cream, was delicious 😋 Wouldn't go back.

Very nice pub/restaurant recently done up tastefully done, only had a drink but the menu looked good so we'll go back another time to eat.
