The Ben Nevis in Glasgow City

Clearly a very popular bar as it was rammed when we arrived on a friday night and struggled for a seat. 2 Real Ale Handpumps on, both were lovely and well kept. I would definitely call this a Bar and not a pub though, it didn't have the vibe we would have wanted, not to say it isn't a good place. Didn't like dead birds in the doors, very off-putting

Nice atmosphere, good pint of Fyne ale

The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about the array of whiskys available. The bar is quite small but makes for a snug atmosphere.

Cracking pint of best and some dram chat.

First Highland themed bar I’ve been in and I like it. A couple of lesser known cask ales on, the Pale Ale from Cromarty Brewing Co was spot on.

Fantastic whisky selection, great vibes, great service with knowledgable bar staff.

Small but delightful venue with an excellent range of drinks and very cool and talented live musicians playing most nights. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazingly cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Very small and quaint whisky bar. Lots of great selection and staff are incredibly friendly and open to smelling of different whiskies before you buy. Would like if all of the staff had a slightly better knowledge of what whiskies they’re selling, or even a short description in a booklet they could read from or hand out. Will absolutely be visiting this place again if I’m near by! For reference I had: Balvenie 16yr French oak Bladnoch 10yr Both I would highly recommend

Good beer, and they have a 'malt of the month'. Definitely check out their website to know when there is live music, I spend hours listening to the group of musicians playing in the corner of the bar. Amazing Scottish/irish folk music!! It's a small bar, which was packed the two times I went there for live music, so chances are that you'll just have to stand in the middle of the bar if you wanna listen to the music.

Have been n before a few years back. It's change owners. The priced for an ice t is over priced. Were as others prices were better. . Why do they need to be this high ? Never stayed don't think I be back to it. Very disappointed ..it was a Tuesday I went in

Had a lovely Dram at the Ben Nevis with my wife. Owen was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Asked the bar person best gin, and he recommended a very good Scottish gin. Husband loves whisky, and he asks him what he likes and dislikes in a whisky. Gave hubby 4 to choose from. Also Asked did I liked whisky explaine d not my drink, he gave me a taste of a whisky, and loved it. Would highly recommend a visit if you enjoy whisky.

Comfortable and authentic - great whiskey and kind staff.

Great craic, excellent selection of whiskies and great live music sessions 3 nights a week (I didn't eat so can't rate the food.)

We went on a music night and had a really nice time. The players were very entertaining and talented. The volume didn’t overwhelm either, so you could still have a conversation and order a drink. The staff isn’t the warmest, but no biggie, it’s a crowded bar! They were quick and attentive. Def recommend.

Great place to try some Scottish whiskey. The only downside is that during football evenings the place gets very crowded, but apart from that it is a very easy place to recommend and visit. Will definitely come back again soon!

It's the locals in particular who bring this rustic pub to life. On Thursday and Sunday evenings a great group of mostly young musicians play Scottish Highland and fiddle music together. A great atmosphere, great whiskey and beer advice at the bar, wonderful place to spend the evening!

Wow! Wednesday night live traditional celtic music! Makes me wish I had brought my small pipes, dig, and bodhran with me from South Carolina...this place is a MUST! Also great beer and whisky selection...EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! P.S. Mike up the celtic harp girl, give her a wawa pedal...and she'll be rockin!

If ever you're in Glasgow, this is the place to go to. Have a chat with the man behind the bar, an unassuming, knowledgeable and passionate character. Prices are very fair

Favourite pub in Finnieston. Fyne Ales on cask and an extensive whisky collection. It's always rammed but you can normally find a wee corner to hover for a beer or two.

We talk about whiskey emulsion and music by the fire. Sweet bartenders and barwomen (with a little air of Thomas Pesquet for one) but this is only to better orbit us in paradise! Don’t hesitate to offer us a real tasting experience by fine connoisseurs! Excellent bar!

Lovely bar with love music on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday (8-11 PM). However, you should be lucky to find a seat to get a good look at the band (or even hear it!). The seating places are very limited. Good collection of beers and scotch. Also, no food is served.

Popped in for a drink after dinner on a Sunday night. Managed to get a table but place filled up to standing room only. Had music on, young guys with fiddles and accordion , traditional Scottish. No issues getting served at the bar. Good atmosphere and mixed crowd. Specialises in whisky. Quite a few tourists in.

Didn't have food, just beers. Nice place.

The actual Inn was basic, heard the food was nice but wasn't able to try as it was so popular and busy. My biggest compliment is that their staff are so nice. Their honesty and integrity will forever have my gratitude, I left behind a very expensive mountain jacket in the room and they sent it all the way to Liverpool free of charge.

Called in here after a delicious meal at El Jefe just down the road on my way back to the hotel. Recommended by the staff at El Jefe, they mentioned local and whiskey...and both were on point. An amazing selection of options for a novice, with friendly staff who were happy to guide my choices. Plus the added (significant) bonus of some live trad music. Excellent. A real mix of players all synced with each other - what a treat.

OMG! What an A to Z of Whisky! Incredible collection. I was drawn to the delicious Ardbeg range but they are all special in their own way. Great venue, small but cosy and ace staff. Look forward to coming back for a few extra tipples! 🍹🍺🥃

What a great wee bar obviously it was a bar for the locals but we we're greeted with a smile great selection of whisky a Very high roof the shelves run right to the top that's a lot of whisky hahaha just sat and watched the tourist,s trying them all lovely atmosphere

This is a cosy and authentic bar for trying some good Scottish whiskies as well as other drinks. They helped us to find what we were looking for among all the available options they had! Nice staff and atmosphere for having a cosy evening in one of the famous Glasgow neighborhood!

They don’t serve food here, but if they did, it would be great. What they do have is great staff, good craft beer selection and the best selection of scotch I found in Glasgow.

Great to see an old fashioned free bar still trading. Warm welcome and knowledgeable barman. Such a nice change from the normal chain of bars. Had a Tyree gin to reminisce about lovely holidays on Tiree
