They tend not to serve full pints and when you ask for it to be topped up the barmaid gives you a 'look.

This establishment has been renamed 'The Stag' hence some of the interior design features. Had lunch with a friend and was impressed with the food quality and the surroundings. The staff were superb.

This is now The Stag. Food took a long time to arrive, but they discounted the bill to compensate. Limited menu but enjoyable. Only been open a couple of weeks so hopefully next time will be even better.

Now trading as the Stag, this place is absolutely fantastic. Food, service, atmosphere perfect and realistic prices too. What's not to like.

Having booked 6 people in for a meal four days after their opening, we were all really impressed. We all had the Sunday roast (one vegetarian) and everyone agreed how delicious it was. Good sized portions and the cauli cheese was amazing! My husband thought that 2 slices of pork loin was not quite enough however he agreed it was all cooked perfectly. Excellent service and the decor was looking good as they have had a refurb. Definitely will visit again.

Recently reopened as The Stag. Looks much the same outside but big changes inside. Very modern and contemporary feel. Unusual decor. Lovely beer garden. Quite pricey though.

Nice little pub, only serve food on certain days but that's all detailed outside. They don't let dogs in which is a little unusual but ultimately wasn't an issue on my visit as they have a large beer garden at the rear. It's clearly a local pub and not simply to cater for the tourists walking up from Salhouse Broads but that's fine it has the charm you won't get from the many pubs that are for the tourists.

Pauline your review is spot on, We also walked 25mins and NO FOOD!!! Two woman behind the bar and neither wanted a conversation and the locals just looked and looked away when we stood at the bar. God knows what's happen since all the good reviews where put on...

Walked from Salhouse Broad 25mins. This pub doesn't do food and does not let dogs in,despite it being a spit and sawdust pub. One bar person had a face like a slapped arse. Not a very friendly pub at all, wouldn't come here again .

Unfortunately since under new management (terry and his bar staff left) the Bell has gone dramatically down hill 😢 .. was the best pub ever before .. but now: hygiene is 3rd world, the beer is bile moonshine , food is microwave mishap , and staff remind me of being an unwelcome soldier, in a bar in down town Basra ... didn’t see one other local ,I wonder why ....

Lovely old traditional pub, plenty on the menu and the food was delicious and plenty full. Cooked by the chef who actually cares and has pride in the dishes he prepares, great value too. Yes the pub could do with a paint brush and new carpet in the restaurant and I hope this could be done in the future. Will we be back, of course because the food and barstaff were great.

Looks great from the front and inside with traditional wooden beams. The thing that REALLY lets this place down is the menu is VERY limited. Just burgers, scampi, all day breakfast and three specials. I went there with my brother and father and waited 58 minutes from the time of ordering to when all of us had our meals in front of us. We all said that we won't be going back.

Walked 20 mins from Salhouse Broad. Outside three signs saying come in food being served etc. Pub however closed. Phoned and found they don't open Sunday evenings. Not pleased! They don't deserve to survive if can't be bothered to open on an August Sunday evening.

Superb pub and friendly staff. This pub has to have the best beer garden in Norfolk and they always have good beers on tap. The food is good quality and reasonably priced and it's a nice crowd in there. It's definitely one of the best pubs in Norfolk.

Good pub: friendly people behind the bar. Good range of beers and quiet garden at the back. Unfortunately my party arrived too late to taste the food that they had to offer, but we were able to order a takeaway, and had it in the pub with plates and cutlery suppled by the pub at no extra cost. For those staying on the Salhouse Broads, they offer a free pick up service: they will pick you up and drive you back for free - that's what I call excellent customer service :-)

That staff are very helpful. My partner has a gluten allergy and every time we have eaten there she has been looked after and never been given gluten by mistake.
