The wait can be fairly long, but it's worth it. This was my first time here, as I was over from Canada visiting relatives. I enjoyed this very much, extremely filling and very tasty.

Located in one corner of Belfast's famous St. George's Market, The Belfast Bap Company floated through my Facebook feed a year or two ago. One of the travel bloggers was here and posted a video. I bookmarked it. And so with not a single other thing I had to visit in Belfast, I made my way here. A short queue where I got to watch an expert, grilling bacon, frying eggs, frying sausages. And then when it was my turn, I placed my order for the Breakfast Bap. It took about 10 minutes to be prepared and during that time, I was able to pop over to another vendor for a coffee. As expected, my bap was massive. Do people really eat all this? Two sausages, a STACK of bacon and a fried egg inside a perfect roll. I ate one of the sausages, the egg, a few pieces of the bacon (salty!) and the bap. There's enough food here for three! Delicious, friendly and I'm so glad I made the journey. Don't miss out!

served within 5 minutes - got the food after well over an hour and a half wait with locals skipping the queue and getting their food in minutes you get a load of cheap salty meat in a bap, def not worth the wait or cost when there's much better versions around

The cook and I had a conversation while he prepared my enormous sandwich. Told me about some history while I waited for my meal. The sandwich itself was humongous. Tasty with the A1 sauce.

I joined the queue because it seemed like a popular place to get Belfast bap. The wait was long, but I figured it was worth it. The bap was very good, relish delicious, black pudding a bit dry. The only negative thing was that the staff lost my order, then commented that my order was weird and made me feel that I'm slowing down the service.

You won't go hungry getting a bap from here. Food was excellent and was great to see all locally sourced produce. I like how the place the base of the bag in the plate while placing the mountain of food on as it goes nice and crispy. Portion size is extreme and and empty stomach is required lol The stall gets very busy and it takes a while to get your order but once placed you are given a buzzer which bleeps to tell you when yours is up next. I recommend ordering when you arrive then walking round for a while, this was the only let down as we were told 35min wait when order but actually took 1 hr 10. Great food, but not sure if it is worth the wait unless you plan on staying at the market a good while.

Wowie! What a sandwich! Don’t expect to get your mouth around this bad boy and you won’t need anything else to eat until dinner. Gentleman serving up the sandwiches interacts with each customer personally which is a nice touch. Only downside is expect to wait. May take 30-45 min. They will give you a buzzer and go enjoy the market first.

I had checked out the Belfast Bap company in anticipation of a visit to Belfast for a christening, and was wondering if it could possibly live up to expectations. The short answer is that it didn't. It far exceeded it!! I had the Belfast Bap with sausage, bacon and egg; he just kept putting more and more bacon on until it stood about 6 inches tall! A friend I was with had the potato bread, and after piling on the bacon, she was asked if she had enough, which stunned her a bit! But it wasn't just the quantity. The bacon was thick sliced and really tasty, the sausages were very good and the egg was eggcelent (sorry) all locally sourced. The different breads on offer was a revelation too. I loved the Belfast Bap, soft in the middle and crispy on the outside, the potato bread was very moreish, a go too if you have a good appetite. Next time I'm going to try the soda bread! I would definitely recommend, amazing food and really friendly staff. There are cheaper options available, but none compare.

We were told very rudely that they were sold out, only to see someone else being served 2 minutes later. Had high hopes, completely dashed for absolutely no reason.

Prior to my trip from London to Belfast, I was looking for a good place to get some authentic soda bread and came across Belfast Bap online, so put it on our itinerary.. we arrived close to closing time and John was so so kind to my daughter and I, we was given thee tastiest soda bread we have ever had!! I can’t wait to come back to Belfast and try one of their baps, genuinely cannot get over how good their bread is!! Five star.. thank you again John!!

The service is so bad here. Was told half hour wait, after an hour and fifteen, I realised they were serving people who they knew instead. I ordered a portion of bacon, sausage, eggs and potato bread. Hardly that complicated. Nonsense of a place. Don't bother.

I don't know what the opposite of 'skimping' is, but this is what you get at this place! An absurd amount of bacon was put on my partners bap, with a very healthy amount of sausages and sauce as well! Had a great time, only thing would be if the egg and black pudding could be a bit bigger, so the meats don't out-shine them as much

For £10 you won't be able to finish it all. Potato bread base was delicious 😋. In the pic you see 1 portion dived in half! 🤩 Maybe there was too much rasher 🥓 😅! Would recommend for a big breakfast. 💪🏻

The meal to heal all hangovers, situated in St George Market. Their Cave Hill Bap will soke up anything that's ĺeft over from the night before; with its generous helping of sausage, egg, hashbrown, back or white pudding, and more bacon than anyone should consume in one go. St George is a National establishment, but the Belfast Bap Co stall is a MUST.

Avoid. Very badly managed stall for average food. Complete lack of organisation due to very basic methods they're using including how they take orders (pen and paper) and how they actually prepare the food. Ended up serving me later than people who ordered after me due to poor methods.

Very salty and forgot to give me hash brown and black budding. After I mentioned, just added those. My Bun was not pan fried as others, very hard and dry not soft as it should be. I should read reviews before I try it.

Fantastic little place located inside St George’s market. They do absolute massive “Belfast Baps”. I got sausage and bacon on mines and it was absolutely loaded, price was about £4 which I felt was very reasonable. It’s massively busy so expect to order and have a bit of a wait. You’ll be a given an electronic buzzer thing that will go when your food is ready so you can walk around the market. I had about a 20 min wait which I thought was fantastic given a tour group of about 30 Americans were in front.

If your thing is waiting one hour and ten minutes for a bap you will never taste, then this is the place for you. Asked for a refund and they were even reluctant to give that. Appalling attitude of staff with no explanation or apology given.

Whist on holiday Visited St George's Market this morning for 1st time in nearly 4 years. Treated my wife and I to a Belfast Bap breakfast. Superb! Plenty of thick high quality bacon, good sausages and a tasty egg! Provided with a beeper so that we didn't need to hang around waiting. The man constructing the mountain of food was very chatty and friendly. If we lived in Belfast this would be our to go to place fir breakfast! Pity we have to return yo Peterhead. But we will return forward Belfast bap!

Chicken strips were missed off the order and when we got them and my husband opened them there was a hair on it so we asked for it to be re made. Staff came out and accused me of putting it there as it was blonde. (I am a dark ginger). Very unprofessional and I left without the chicken strips or a refund on that item as the staff were beyond rude

good food but slightly expensive unless you get the meal deal which is a 6 inch sub with cookie and drink, (the drink has to be a cup not a bottle) all for £3.99. the atmosphere is nice and usually its not noisy and the staff are friendly, i go here on most sundays and i see my favourite man if i dont see him anymore i will be sad
