Elements Chinese in Belfast

Been eating from this Chinese for over 10 years and have always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, their portions have gotten awful small. Ordered a full portion of salt and chilli chicken between me and the kids, but got 9 pieces of chicken. They don’t do sauce on the all-in-one boxes and charge extra for it (only get 4 pieces of chicken in the s&c all in one). Because of this, my rating is a 3. Would have been 4 or 5 if the portions weren’t so small.

Ordered salted chilli chicken and I was suprised with the amount of white onions and non existent of chicken (only 4 pieces), the fried rice was sticky and soggy a bit overcooked. The only thing good from the this order was the spring rolls. I would not recommend.

Quick service when ordering, variety of deals on the menu, clean kitchen and hard working staff at this Chinese takeaway.

Food not as nice as it used to be, chips heated up from night before and salted chilli not as spicy as it used to be.

First time visitor so went for something generic to test the waters. So Special Chow Mein it was, £7.90 (gravy added for an additional 50p). In hindsight should have got the gravy! It was just so tasteless and dry. All the meat was overcooked which was a surprise as it was only 10 at night with some selling time left. Strangely the prawns were cooked well, hence the one star. Thank god I had a bottle of water as eating this was a struggle.

Just bought chicken chow mien 8 pieces of chicken on dry noodles never had a chow mien like this never going to elements again total rip off avoid avoid avoid

I usually get the curry fried rice. You can ask for curry top and bottom if you wish at no extra charge if you love curry all over the rice.

Just rang and got told they don't deliver to my area which is only 0.5 mile away shocking probably cause its a protestant area

Best Chinese takeaway in North Belfast. They are consistent and good value. My partner loves the salted chilli tofu, me the king prawns with spring onion and ginger ... could do with more veggie options, but still great.

Items missing from my order also food was under cooked. I think the dish washer cooked my food. Very disappointing.

A lot better than the average Chinese takeaway. The XO sauce is to die for. Have been using Elements since it opened in the late 2000s.

Seems this once excellent Chinese take away has went down hill the food is nowhere near as good as it was with the previous owners, I'll give it a miss.

I have been a regular customer here for many years and in the past I have actively promoted how good the food was from Elements, however my most recent experience was appalling. From the moment I walked in to the shop, I was greeted by 2 girls on the till who were more interested in talking to each other than serving me. After a few mins I interrupted and asked to place my order. Prawn Toast, Salt n Chilli chicken wings both starters, Chicken and black bean sauce, salt n Chilli chicken balls a portion of fried rice and a portion of fried rice with onions and gravy. After a few mins my order was shouted out which immediately set off an alarm as seemed very quick given as always they were very busy and I’m used to a 15 to 20 min wait, however I was eager to get home and eat the tasty food given I had driven 5miles to get it, I thought I’d give the benefit of the doubt, well that was a school boy error. When I got home, I immediately discovered my order as first feared was wrong. My Salt n Chilly starter was knowhere to be seen, The Salt n Chilli Chicken balls were plain chicken balls. The fried rice with onion and gravy was just fried rice with a tub of gravy on the side. Frustrated but hungry I proceeded to get stuck in to the food, I wish I hadn’t bothered. Prawn Toast was edible (no issues) PLAIN chicken balls (no issues) from here it was downhill. Fried rice (congealed together, resembled more sticky rice than fried, you could of flung it against your walls and it would’ve stuck). The Gravy eas thick n stodgy when I attempted to pour it over my chicken balls it actually fell out the tub on to the plate in the shape of the tub, it was like jelly (disgusting). The Chicken and Blackbean should be renamed, Chicken and Blackbean with tons of salt. I appreciate the Chinese use a lot of salt in there cooking but this was inedible I haste to think how much was used but it went in the bin. Overall the meal was just awful, which I never thought I would write about the Chinese I have loved for so many years. I’m not sure what has happened, but it appears that quality is being sacrificed for speed of getting orders out, staff just not interested in customer experience. Very disappointed as it looks like I’ll need to find somewhere new to eat.

Delivery ordered and estimated time of arrival was 20 minutes. 65 minutes later.....no food. Not impressed

Very friendly staff, we ordered a portion of prawn crackers and a banana fritter . The quality of the food was amazing, they were very busy and delivery only took 4 hours.

Took nearly 2 hours for home delivery. Collect yourself if your hungry

Más caro que la mayoría de los demás llevar china y daría menos. Muchos de los platos no sabe como se supone que. Su Arroz amigo de Singapur es surcado por curry en polvo, miel chili con pollo y en realidad es Peking sus fideos son horribles. Bajado de cuando intenté salir de aquí hace años

Keep getting the order wrong, always cold when it arrives, 3rd time they got it wrong even after advising them of other occasions, think they like to pick your meal for you and then laugh about it on the phone, the person taking the orders is clearly moronic !They just don't pay attention !!!GIVE IT A MISS

Been waiting near 3 hours on our delivery, first they got our address wrong and then they forgot to send our delivery out with the driver, so when we rang our food was still sitting their freezing, we ordered our food at 9 and it's nearly 12 and our food still hasn't arrived

Pedimos aquí algunas veces - muy buena relación calidad-precio y una gran variedad para elegir - cocineros están cerca de la parte frontal, así que puede verlos cocinar - el lugar es muy limpio y el personal era amable, la comida muy buena, este es un buen cambio de chippy

That's the 2nd time and last time I'll be ordering from this place. Both times have got my delivery wrong and also with less food that was stated comes in the menu. Very disappointing.

Perfect place for great value food gorgeous grub best too pick it up and pre order first can be very very bizzy most time's you want food ie peak time's delivery is hit and miss to often it's over an hour before it arrived and you get the feeling you're last too get your delivery as they deliver alot at the same time and the food can be cold or at best look warm especially chips and sausages as the as they go cold in a simple plastic bag which is a shame but definitely love elements when you pick it up yourself.

We went for a quick dinner and the staff helped us really nicely with the huge menu and it was really well prepared and also plenty of food! I couldn't finish!

Always had a great takeaway out of Elements, Usually get sweet & sour chicken, chicken curry (hot!) chow mein, rice & chips. Don't have a bad word to say about it. Always fresh & piping hot. Delicious.
