Called in on the off-chance. Lovely people. Although they had lost their chef the day before, they were doing their best to make sure everyone was fed. We had ham egg and chips which was very nice. They also had a walking group in, and were expecting a darts team in the evening. I wish them well. They deserve to succeed. 😊

A proper pub , nice staff , tasty food , a decent pint of Spitfire , friendly clientele with lots of chat and laughter. Raised my mood so I'm sure when I'm next in the area I will be happy to return. Recommended 👍.

Quick drop off (and detour) while trudging the Essex Way. Great welcome from both the landlord and the locals. Great service and beer, nice atmosphere. And a grateful goodbye. Thanks for letting me stop by. ps Great Waltham seems a nice place to visit for a look-round and wander.

Over 50yrs ago this was my local! I heard good reports & decided to visit for lunch with a friend. It was very quiet but we had a great lunch & had the chance to talk to the chef who was lovely & very accommodating with her understanding of customer's needs. The Beehive deserves more patronage & I hope reviews will encourage more punters. We will certainly be returning.

The Beehive has recently changed hands, I've eaten there twice now and really enjoyed the freshly made food at a good price. The pie was so big I couldn't eat all of it. It's still fairly quiet so lacks a little in atmosphere at the moment. I shall be returning.

Really nice pub, friendly new staff as recently taken over, came in on the off chance as driving through and wasn't disappointed! Me and my partner both had the roast dinners and I had a fudge cake for dessert, was really lovely and we will definitely be coming here again.

Much improved venue. In the last couple of years this pub has changed and the interior is now more welcoming and comfortable. Worth a visit. I would still change the lighting in the lounge bar to a softer colour.

Great pub. Two areas, one bar with TV for sports, as well as darts board and pool table. Other area is a restaurant. Nice food available, Sunday roast is very good. Music is also played with song requests. Usually a decent atmosphere and a nice pub to go in small groups.

Previous welcoming landlord has gone, uncertain opening times have returned. Twice walked in here recently and was unwelcome. Closed on Mondays, i guess, apparently. Was also treated indifferently on a sunday at 9 pm- despite doors being open i was told they were closing- despite people being in the pub. They could have said "we are closing soon so if you want a drink its 10-15 mins" etc but no. For a pub essentially in the middle of nowhere, with at least 4 other pubs close, i give them a few months. The pool table and the fruit machine have disappeared, apparently to create a restaurant that no one will be interested in- with the Galvin Green Man close. Now run by a couple who seem to have little idea of customer service, on a previous occasion where i was actually served i witnessed the landlord have to run to the shop to buy some lemonade when some customer bought a jd or whatever it was and lemonade, he didnt even tell the customer who was like, wheres me drink? Hopeless.

We went here today as a party of 8 including a young baby. It is a lovely pub with a varied menu which was reasonably priced. We spent just over 100 pound including the alcohol. The staff were very accommodating to the baby and the pub is dog friendly too! It has a real fire, epic sound track, and we sat in the restraunt end that was cosy but with a real atmosphere in the main bar. We will be back.

Had been to TUK TUK for some nice food last Saturday, Ordered my favourite soup Tom yum soup, however the soup was very salty. When my husband informed them they said they will change it and took a long time to give us another one, which was the same old salty one. Very disappointed with the service.

Service was very nice , staff were very kind and polite , love the atmosphere of the place , however... the food we had was the hunter chicken and camemburger, the hunter chicken was dry and over cooked. The camemburger was burnt and all you could taste was burnt meat... food was not really nice , not for the price either
