Amazing food, amazing staff and amazing atmosphere. We hostestd my aunts 70th get together here and the staff were amazing with helping set up . They even went above and beyond to wear lepord print as that was the theme of the party . The food was amazing , fairly cheap drinks . Honestly I will be back again and recommend to everyone I know !!!

Visited this pub for the first time since being refurbished, well didn't expect 3 women's toilet seats to be broken already, waiting to be served at the bar as all members of staff as well as the manager to all be sitting down round far side of the bar, once being served returned to there table where they was originally sitting. Glasses are collected from table after they build up or have to ask for them to be collected, not sure if I will return

Delicious food, big portions and great value! Had the bigger version of the fish & chips, and it could easily be shared between two people. The vegan burger was top notch, full of flavour and not dry at all! Staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The only downside was that the kids pasta was a bit dry, without much sauce on it. Can't really complain to be honest, got the offer that it costs £1 when you get another adult meal. Very good deal. Another let down was the back beer garden, it is not looked after at all, but it got so much potential to be really nice. I hope that the current manager sort it out, as it would be really nice to sit on the outside with kids, away from the main road. --- 18/07/24 Great revamp, the pub looks really nice now. Food is still good, however, it took half an hour to arrive, even though people in the pub were just drinking at the time.

Clean, good tasty food and an amazing team! Also, they have a back garden. Nice place.

Lovely mixed grill ... Took a while to get out of the kitchen but it was worth it. Staff were polite and attentive enough. In case you're planning on coming with kids, there are a few loud colourful characters and you'll hear a bit of swearing but it's a pub so it can't be helped. Clientele was mostly middle-aged/ nearly pensioner age men (possibly escaping family), many of whom seem to know each other... Great music (mainly 80s and 90s). I can imagine this place being a bit lively on a Friday night.

I had my birthday party here in March 2024 and I am writing to thank the staff who worked hard and made sure everything was OK. It's a decent local pub, we got to use and enclosed space which made it great for our party, the food was good quality and portions are good size (but there are some minor things that can be improved), the prices are reasonable. We had a good time, thank you all hard working ladies! We ordered everything in advance and the chef made sure we had everything ready as we agreed: first sharing starters, then the main meal. The food was good. We had fish and chips, variety of burgers, mixed grills, chicken feasts, etc. (I am not giving a 5* because the place needs a bit of TLC and there are some small things that could be improved - not complaining, just explaining my rating!)

I went there with friends on Friday 5th April 24 , we live in Hainault it was a very enjoyable evening, being middle aged I saw a lot of locals who were of a similar age to us ,plus older and younger locals who all were friendly and all got along, the vibe ,the atmosphere and the dj who played the set was first class. Will go back for sure

Went here with a few friends and can honestly say we absolutely loved it staff was very polite the food was amazing.... creds to the chef my friends loved the deserts I was to stuffed to try but they looked fab will be returning soon

Welcoming and friendly staff and the pub itself has a great atmosphere. Friday and Saturdays nights entertainment are always good. Food was more than worth the price would recommend to anyone locally or passing to stop in and see for yourself.

Several issues. Waiting staff were not welcoming. Table wasn’t prepared for us as we arrived despite making an online booking. Food took an unacceptable amount of time to come out & when it did not everyone in our party received their meal at the same time so we ended up eating at different times. If we hadn’t of paid upfront for our meals as a party of 8 we would have walked out. No apologies or compensation for the wait of food & we had a young child within our party. Staff lack attention towards eating guests. On a day like Mother’s Day you would expect a business to be a little more prepared for the busyness! Will definitely not waste our time in returning!

Went to see the soul night Was heaving The thing that let it down . . Only 3 bar staff didn't have any bottled still water . Gave you fizzy water with no explanation DJ and music was grrrrreat tho

Food took a while to come but it was totally worth the wait. Thanks to Tee and Corrina for exceptional bar service. Services Include Pool, darts, Gambling machines. Prices are very decent. First time visiting this place, felt right at home.

I'm down there nearly every Friday Saturday and Sunday and I always get a warm welcome from Kate and the team. Good atmosphere, drinks are good value and the poker on a Monday is well organised and a great night, also really enjoyed the mixed grill.

Your typical Dagenham boozer. It's how I remember Pubs way back when I was little. The Sizzler chain now runs the pub, so the food is OK.

Had a Groupon voucher for starters and chicken skillets, the starters and main course we wanted, they didn't have, so we had the nachos and halloumi fries and then chicken fajitas - I have to say this was very nice. The service was friendly. They was a little bit disordered at the bar, didn't know much about the voucher, didn't know anything about the booking we made online. But we got there in the end. This pub is what you would call a locals pub. A little bit dated, but was all good. The fireplace is a nice feature.

Went with a Groupon voucher. They couldn't get it to work on their system, but eventually, they did it manually. The food was OK. Rump steak a bit bland, onions rings looked and tasted old/not crispy, one half a tomato and mushrooms with no taste. The side salad and chips were better.

I've been here many times before, great atmosphere for drinking however I was let down on my birthday after making an online booking for dining. I booked a table for 4:15 and when I turned up I was told that their chef was on a break til 5pm so no food orders until then. I couldn't wait that long so had to eat elsewhere. Not impressed and the lady behind the bar wasn't very helpful

The Beacon Tree held the best party for me last night! The whole staff went above & beyond to accommodate all we needed. Food was plentful, everyone had fun, kids were provided for & atmosphere spot on. Thank you Kate.

Great bar staff great atmosphere around the pub

As others have mentioned, rude staff. Especially the blonde manager! Came to leave a bad review & saw that 39 minutes ago, someone had also complained about the staff! Pretty certain, they were also referring to the extremely rude manager. She also tried to tell us to leave claiming about the fake “9pm” rule. It wasn’t even 9pm at that time!!! The other reviewer, claimed that the staff was racist. It should be noted that I am also a person of colour. Which is further proof that this staff is racist!! Hopefully these reviews are taken into consideration and further action required.

This pub was the worst place I have been in my life. Racist staff. After few beers refused to serve us pretending they will close at 9.00pm.

Very bad/rude staff was complaining about children playing on machine , making nasty comments , left empty food plates on table hours after eating , left smashed glass on floor while children was around . This is supposed to be a family pub the managers dirty looks u receive from her are so disgusting and uncomfortable.

Place rather run down. Good main course was ok but the extras on the plate not available. Good price. I understand from the bar staff that I had the last ale to be served in the house because no-one likes it there. So I will not return.

drinks are fine,food took ages to arrive,even there was only few customers and food...well never had worse onions in my life,mushrooms also tasted like they came from a can...and steaks were tasteless

Great local pub, with very friendly staff and customers, food is good, drinks are great and both priced very reasonable. They have 2 pool tables and a DJ on a Saturday who plays something for everyone. This is not a clicky pub, everyone is made to feel welcome here. I am not a regular but it is my go to pub when I fancy a few drinks with the girls or a game of pool with my hubby.
