Popped into the eastbrook for the Wednesday curry night. Pleasantly surprised lovely food friendly environment. Will most definitely be returning. Staff friendly and made you feel welcome.

I don’t usually eat indian but saw their sign up today on way home from work and thought id give it a try, I was not disappointed service was very good food was amazing I will definitely be returning with the family. Friendly atmosphere alot of locals in here if you are local to Dagenham or just passing through I would highly recommend this pub recently taken over by an Indian family the previous owner leaving very big shoes to fill the new owner is definitely ding a grand job so far… (Wednesday night curry night)

I am genuinely shocked by my experience at this so-called “Sunday carvery.” While the food itself was nice, with decent flavours, the overall experience completely let it down. There was barely any selection, and while it wasn’t bad, it certainly wasn’t exceptional or worth the price. What really ruined it for me was the setup. There was absolutely no table service, and the dining area felt like a glorified canteen. Tables were just randomly scattered about in what felt more like a lifeless hall than a proper restaurant. It had absolutely no atmosphere, making it a disappointing setting for a meal. The biggest insult, though, was the price—especially as there was no advertised price anywhere at the start. I didn’t think to ask, as I was expecting it to be reasonable given the average state of the room and the setup. Imagine my shock when we went to pay and were hit with a staggering £18.50 per person! That’s £37.50 for two, and that didn’t even include drinks. I honestly thought the barmaid was joking when she gave us the total. For what we got, it was outright daylight robbery. In conclusion: DO NOT COME HERE. You’ll get completely ripped off for an average experience, even though the food itself was okay. I left feeling nothing but disgusted.

Nice friendly pub part restaurant and a bar to watch sports

The atmosphere in the pub has fallen, the owner uses it often for personal use. We was there Christmas eve another private function for the owner, the music from their function was intrusive into the pub as they kept coming on and out of the pub leaving divided door open, not really sure why they kept in and out of the pub as often as they were. Last year the old owner supplied nibbles and there was a great atmosphere, this year there was no atmosphere, no nibbles, it was dull. The effort was definitely on the owners private fiction and not the punters of the pub. It seems the new owner has no connection with the punters that drink in the pub, and has no idea what the punters want in a pub. The food is now limited yo curry night 3 night a week t it's okay if you want to eat over priced curry for small portions no value for money anymore. Definitely won't be my regular pub anymore.

Went in to see Lisa, asked after the dog,sadly another one buried in the garden 🥰 Irish governor gone, good,barred my dog.I know they serve food,but we always used to go straight out in the garden,waterproof brought out for her, everyone always friendly with her.Had a lovely pint of coke,wished Lisa a really good Christmas, probably the first😂👍one of my favourite pubs

Went for a wedding reception so had a private room the food was good and the room was decorated lovely a nice atmosphere

Went to the eastbrook for a curry with my partner. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. It was that good we cleared our plates. Will definitely be going back again soon. Barmaid very polite and helpful. Very good value for money too

Under new management they are trying to make it better than previously will take time.

Lovely food, curry fresh cooked Friday and Saturday , lovely roast on Sundays. And just overall lovely service and meals.

Lovely pub, good food, good atmosphere. Carvery is fantastic, bar food is also excellent. Love a saturday afternoon here with the racing on in the sports bar. Landlord & wife are Lovely people and make you very welcome.

The current owners have worked hard to restore The ‘Brook to its former glory. Inside the saloon bar is beautiful polished wood. I believe the pub is grade 2 listed for this reason. There’s a reasonable selection of beers and lagers. The old public bar is designed as the sports bar. The pub serves food, but I didn’t partake on this occasion. They did do a buffet for us, though, for a gathering of 30 or so people. The food was fresh, plentiful and reasonably priced. There is a carpark attached to the pub. There is also a secluded outside space for visitors to enjoy. As everything is on one level, I’d describe the pub as wheelchair accessible. The Eastbrook is a traditional English pub. If you are in the area I highly recommend a visit.

Best Lunch I've ever eaten in London

If you like meat sweats like I do, you need to go to The Eastbrook for Sunday carvery. Food and service are excellent and reasonably priced. If you don't like meat sweats, take a smaller portion and still enjoy the meal.

Only stayed for short while as no coffee available.

£1.65 for a bag of crisps. Ridiculously overpriced, and the beer was flat and expensive as well. Won't be going back.

Been meaning to try this pub for a while now. Beautiful looking pub both inside and outside. Had an omelette and salad, all good. Took a while for the food to be cooked but the barman did apologise for this. Would recommend.

I have never been to this pub always walked past it and was surprised. We were taken care of the food was hot tasty and fresh. The only critical thing is the toilets which are run down and dirty.

Lovely food, large portion and freshly prepared. Friendly owners who welcome you, we will come back again.

Lovely staff very friendly went for a cavery with my kids and partner my kids are fussy so wanted nuggets and chips the chops were undercooked and they didn't eat them. Me and my partner had the roast was all lovely except roast potatoes was very hard. Very big portion sizes the amount that was left could have feed another two people.

The pub did a great buffet spread for my mum's wake, and the friendly staff were really helpful sorting us out with a TV screen for a photo reel. Lovely traditional interior and garden. Not quite what I expected from a Dagenham boozer, if I'm honest!

First time in there for a function..really big and a lot better than I thought..food for the function was very good. And the staff friendly and helpful. Lots of seating. A really nice outside seating area. And quite a lot of parking.

We held a family bereavement get together . Staff were very good and attentive and the food which they laid on was very nice with a variation of food for everyone.

Great there are still some local pubs still around in Dagenham, has always been the best pub around. Great to see some love put back into the pub. And to see the great work James and Annette are doing at the Brook... you will not get a better pint of Guinness for miles... also Sunday Carvery is superb and food in the week is excellent...

We recently went to the Eastbrook for the first time since moving into the area. We were turned away when trying to order a drink at the bar as we didn't hold a membership card and told new members were not currently being accepted. Strange business acumen during a global pandemic.

Good pub with friendly atmosphere and very hospitable landlord, overall a very pleasant experience.

We had my sister in laws 30th in there this October 2021. James and his team were so helpful! They worked with us to organise the hall and offered advice when needed. Honestly the best and least stressful experience to plan a party ever! Thank you so so much!

Best Carvery iv eat in London and iv bin hear 12 years. Staff are lovely and well coming clean and lovely place. First time iv bin but defo not the last.

Two bars, one for sport, darts, pool and a hangout for the locals - the other more family orientated with nice beer garden and a dinning area. Family run with friendly staff and reasonable prices; the Sunday carvery is generous and delicious.

Rude staff was meeting friends to have a drink but got shouted at and made to feel threatend by bar tenders so decided to go meet friends in a pub more friendly I was accused of only wanting to use toliets but wasent the case never again
