It's a rudimentary cafe but, they are the best in that category! Bacon rolls have good, thick bacon and quality bread; the coffee (especially the filter coffee) beats most coffee shops and, the éclairs and other cakes are epic but, it's the staff and clientele that make it a neat cafe.

Went in for ice cream with my children, ordered chocolate ice cream in a tub for my youngest son who is autistic. He changed his mind and wanted it in a cone, so I asked the young girl serving me if she could give me an extra cone and I would pay for that too. You’d have thought I massively inconvenienced her, she started sighing and had such a grumpy face at my request! Beach pavilion - I know that you employ teenagers who are just after a bit of pocket money, but perhaps a bit of training is in need for your staff. Very rude and not a nice experience.

Late breakfast by the sea. We visited this cafe many times over the years on the way to and back from Anglesey but were disappointed to find it closed last year. We called by on the off chance to see if it had reopened and were pleased to see it had. 2 breakfasts and 2 teas £21.90 great value for freshly cooked cafe breakfasts. Note this is unashamedly a cafe not a restaurant but all the better for it. Family friendly - no dogs inside - lots of choice and once you’ve ordered at the counter the pleasant staff bring your food right to you. Great stop off just off the A55.

Such a friendly environment, we enjoyed a cheeseburger, huge and juicy and I enjoyed a mammoth jacket with tuna mayo. Both meals were delicious and considering how busy they were delivered to table quickly. We ordered the draught cider but unfortunately it had run out, the other options were quickly offered with smiles and apologies. This place is a real seaside gem.

1st day reopening. Checked before coming to see if dog friendly. Online reviews state very dog friendly. We get there and a large sign in the window ... NO DOGS ALLOWED.... think they need to update their dog friendly status online. As we needed a coffee I went in to get a couple of takeaways, miffed at the dogs not being allowed in to then see a dog in there. I asked a member of staff if dogs were or were not allowed in as I have to say I was a little confused... to be told no dogs were allowed in usually but as they had relatives come visit with a dog then for today only we could bring ours in. So an advertised dog friendly cafe who is no longer dog friendly unless a mate or relative comes in with a dog! Don't make the mistake we made of thinking dogs are welcome. They need to update the no dogs policy online!

The Beach Pavillion at Llanfairfechan has a respectable choice of classic dishes. It is cheap and cheerful, always busy. Extremely efficient staff up front and in the kitchen. I had a splendid made-on-order BLT sandwich (£4.90) with chunky chips (£3.20) and a Diet Coke at £1.30. Coming to the grand total of £9.45. The time between the placing of the order and leaving with a full and happy tummy was 15 minutes. No parking to pay. And it is on the promenade with a lovely view.

A Charming Seaside Retreat The Beach Pavilion Cafe in Llanfairfechan is a delightful spot right on the promenade, offering breathtaking views of the sea. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The menu offers a variety of options, with the breakfast dishes and cakes being particular highlights. While some dishes could use a bit of improvement, the overall quality of the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. The cafe’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, with lovely decorations that add to the charm. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee, a leisurely breakfast, or a light lunch, the Beach Pavilion Cafe is a great choice. It’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the stunning views. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Llanfairfechan!

I recently visited the Pavilion Cafe in Llanfairfechan, and it was an absolute delight! Nestled right by the beach, the cafe offers stunning views of the coastline, which made for a perfect backdrop while enjoying my meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy interior and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The menu has a great variety of options, from hearty breakfasts to delicious lunches and tempting homemade cakes. I opted for the full Welsh breakfast, and it did not disappoint—everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The coffee is top-notch, and I couldn't resist having a slice of their freshly baked Victoria sponge cake, which was a true treat. It's clear that they use quality ingredients and take pride in their offerings. Overall, the Pavilion Cafe is a fantastic spot whether you're looking for a relaxing coffee break, a tasty meal, or just a place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful views of the North Wales coast. The staff were lovely but that is where the good points stop. I ordered a latte and was amazed by how it was made. The woman serving scooped some instant coffee into a mug then added a little steam to dissolve it, she then lifted a half filled clear plastic jug of milk that was laying out on the counter and steamed it before adding it to the dissolved instant coffee. The jug of milk was now placed back on the counter. Later the milk was top up and resteamed for someone else, god knows how long this milk had been out and how many times it had been steamed. The coffee was disgusting. On top of this most of the tables were full of dirty dishes. I have given one star as the staff were nice and helpful.

We’ve been coming to the pavilion in llanfairfechan for at least 3 years. It’s an absolutely lovely place set right by the seas edge on a sweeping promenade where you can imagine Victorian people would be enjoying the fresh air. The building of the pavilion is a wooden, of its time, piece of architecture with loads and loads of atmosphere with wooden floors. It has two levels you can go upstairs and overlook the main café, during the summer you can buy ice creams and buckets and spades as well as the menu of hot freshly made delicious meals from the counter. All the classics that people love fish and chips burgers. They also do a delicious chilli and chips which is our favourite all the usual are on their egg and chips sausage chips. It’s just good no nonsense food that you want at the seaside when you’ve been in the sea. There’s loads of room there’s always, helpful staff and music playing so it’s a very chilled out atmosphere there’s panoramic views of the Menai straits, puffin island and Anglesey, and it’s the kind of place that you can really lose yourself in and rub shoulders with many different types of people, campervaners windsurfers, cyclists, it attracts everybody. The atmosphere at pavilion really does lend itself to many different things. It’s definitely the kind of place you can imagine getting married because it’s such a atmosphere and setting with it wooden floors and white framed windows that lean towards the sea to absorb the wind and rain on those days when it’s stormy. Once you’ve come to the pavilion it’s a place that you want to return to again and again and it’s definitely our favourite.

Two of us visited Tal Y Cafn on a Saturday night for dinner, we prebooked The restaurant itself is lovely, cosy and welcoming For starters I ordered the deep fried brie, and my partner ordered the soup of the day - tomato The brie was only melted slightly, the middle was still raw cheese. Although I thought it odd, I didn’t think anything of it until the table next to us complained about the same issue My partner’s soup tasted very strong of coriander. Not a hint of tomato. We questioned whether it was carrot and coriander, we were told it was tomato and coriander? Not heard of that concoction before We believe the waitress was talking about us after we queried the soup as different members of staff were looking over at us, not looking happy. Not sure why as we were very polite and didn’t kick up a fuss For mains I had the fish and chips, my partner had the chicken burger which he really enjoyed. My fish was a bit greasy, although the chips were lovely. We had a side of onion rings, too much batter and there was a pool of grease at the bottom of the bowl For dessert we both ordered the chocolate fudge cake which took 30 minutes to arrive. Both came with pouring cream, not ice cream as per the menu. The waitress bought over some ice cream after we queried it. The fudge cake was nice Overall, the food was nice although 4 dishes weren’t cooked properly or correct. The service wasn’t the best. I don’t think we’d come here again unfortunately
