Brilliant place with a brilliant staff, highly enjoyed my meal! The view is simply perfect, highly recommended 👌🏿

You expect you’ll get at least a good service for a such price but Zero service at all. We ordered drinks to enjoy the view and seat outside but when the rain started the staff member/manager was quite rude saying as we didn’t book we can’t seat inside even just quickly to get our drinks that we already ordered and paid for, she didn’t even try to offer any solution, so we asked for the refund. There was another couple sitting outside who ordered pizza, beer and chips - they didn’t book, however they went inside and no one told them that the table they sat in was booked. Just unbelievable. The manager could’ve offered at least to put a table or chairs from the outside inside but no solution was offered.

Good food, lovely atmosphere and very good service.

We had a wonderful meal looking over an incredible view. It's bright and airy and I love the way you can do the smooth running off the kitchen.

Pasta was well overcooked. Service was slow despite restaurant only having 4 tables and 5 floor staff.

One of our favourite spots to stop for a drink and a bite to eat. The Mac & Cheese is probably the best we’ve ever had. Dog & baby friendly, great service & location.

Wish I’d read the reviews before going. To be fair, there’s not much that could be done about the group with screaming kids, but this aside it was still very average food & disorganised service. Awful

It was a very disappointing experience. Today at 5pm we were on our way to an early dinner. We stayed in this beautiful place for 3 days and thought today we would try the Beach Club restaurant. We came in 1/4 full and asked for a table for 2 for dinner. There were 4 servers to be seen. The restaurant clerk, black hair, unfortunately no name tag, told us that they were fully booked. We informed you that we didn't have more than 1 hour and only wanted to have a main course and drinks, whether there were any tables available for that time. When would the others be reserved? No answer but she said that we should sit at the counter for 5 minutes and she would set up the tables. Unfortunately, you could tell that she was actually annoyed and wasn't really interested. We still waited because it was our vacation and we didn't want to let it spoil our mood. We already made our choice of food from the menu. During this time the lady cleaned the floors and pushed tables around. When she came to us after about 10 minutes she accompanied us to a nice table for two. We ordered the drinks and she told us that she would come to us shortly to take the food order. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for over 30 minutes. During this time, 2 ladies came with 2 children who also hadn't made a reservation but were seated by her straight away without any problems. Two tables were occupied on the terrace, which were a bit wet due to the rain. Since there was no service, two ladies came into the restaurant independently of each other to point them out and were given menu cards. We continued to be disrespected. Since I worked in the catering industry for over 23 years and also ran a restaurant myself, I observe the processes with different eyes and always with the perspective that I would hire these people, which was a clear NO here. We stayed calm even though it was obvious there wasn't really a plan. The tables outside were then served, tables inside were moved around and plant pots were turned (no joke). Our neighboring table had been waiting for your dessert order for more than 15 minutes. Every now and then she made her eyes widen and grimaced a little. I understood you. Which is completely ok when it's full and everyone is busy with 25 guests and 4 waiters......mmmm...after a total of 40 minutes I got up and asked her if she would still take our order. She didn't even apologize. We would have absolutely accepted that, but no, since my husband now refused to order anything else because she came to the table arrogantly and said she had a lot to do, she told us we shouldn't be unfriendly. So I told her that we were very quiet the entire time, even though it was clear that she actually had no desire to receive us as guests, but that it was impossible for us to continue to accept this behavior and that I certainly had some of it I understand business and it was definitely not busy. The bill came faster than lightning and we went to yesterday's Deli restaurant where the waitress Maxine was fabulous. Beach Club NOT recommended if you are treated like this as a guest. There are other restaurants to choose from.

Overpriced food nothing special. Your paying for location. Never go again -rather walk bare footed on glass and go to the local pub.

Friendly Staff, nice cocktails, kids can play down on the beach

Will Start with 'amazing views', sat out on the decking on sofas, we were 2 couples, we ordered a few drinks each and some houmous and olives to share, bill was £156!!!! £25 for a white wine and soda! How on earth can they justify that price? The soda isn't on draft and is only in bottles, £5 per small bottle and £20 for the wine...... Crazy prices , had a few visits here but normally just a tea & coffee, marked 3 stars overall, but quality for money 1 star.

Nice on the beach restaurant, we only had a coffee so can't comment on the food was £10 for 2 coffees and 2 biscuits on a par with most in the area. Lovely quiet place to sit and admire the view.

The food quality was rather substandard and very overpriced. Dishes tasted incongruous and rushed, and the service didn’t feel like a ‘team’. Couldn’t decide if the restaurant was going for a beach club/cafe or restaurant setting. Would recommend going here for a drink on the beach and have an aperitif, for the time being give the restaurant a miss.

Not great, food was seriously over priced. Which is fine there has to be an element of that for the view and location. But it wasn't any good. Pizza was soft and undercooked, curry was very bland and under seasoned with dry chicken and lack lustre sides. Cheesecake amateurish. Genuinely cook better at home on a Thursday. Drinks were more expensive than Ugly Butterflies, £5 for a Tea anyone? No thanks. Overpriced and poor quality across the board. Nice view.

Ate here last night. Fillet steak which I asked for blue, came out perfectly. The cut of meat was excellent. Squid starter was delicate and tasty. My partner had the prawns on sourdough with the rocket salad side and all of it was just very well done. 3rd time I’ve eaten here and all have been great but last night was nothing short of excellent. 10/10.

What a beautiful place. Restaurant was warm and inviting. The view is superb. The Food and Service by Maxine was excellent. I loved the overall experience. This has got to be a place that falls into one of Cornwalls great laces to eat.

Lovely place food good staff so friendly very welcoming my husband is disabled Kim could not be more helpful what a lovely girl we will go back when next in area. Wish we had this restaurant in poole.

Amazing, and what a beautiful setting

We booked lunch at 2pm for 2 px. I ordered the £29 prawn curry which sounded fabulous. The dish was a disappointment - too salty and not especially tasty, although the prawns were fabulous. The curry was served in a hot metal bowl, with the rice in an identical metal bowl. I wasn’t given a spoon or ladle, so I ended up shovelling the rice into the curry bowl using a fork. This produced a sort of risotto with prawns. It wasn’t easy to eat with a knife and fork so I had to ask for a spoon. The staff were few and far between, and nobody asked how the meal had been. I asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, which the server did without hesitation or question. We walked out feeling disappointed. Such a shame as the location is fantastic, but let down by average food and poor service from staff who couldn’t care less.

Enjoyed an amazing dinner at the Beach Club restaurant recently. The food was delicious, the service first-rate and the atmosphere just what we remembered from previous visits, probably even better. We were a party of 14 including several children and, although we must have tried the patience of the staff, it was never apparent. I had mussels and a T-bone steak - absolutely superb. Thank you everyone!

The food was very overpriced for what it was. The children’s menu states ice cream and drink included, this was not the case when the bill came! Charged adult price for 1 scoop of ice cream and for the drink! Also charged for having water on the table. Plus a service charge was added as compulsory not voluntary. When queried with the waitress, she said it was all standard and that was the final bill! Over £200 for 5 adults and 1 child to eat a main dish! Definitely won’t be dining there again!! The views are stunning though!

Very nice food and service slightly over priced

We did a dine-in here, even though we took a reservation we weren’t given a nicer view table even when we asked. All these tables were for a party of 2 so I don’t know how they could not swap us. Also they were very rude and did not even greet us. I got a hint they were racist as they did switch a table happily for a party of 4 during their meal for a better view with all their food also moved. And the food that came was pretty kind of left over, the salads were not fresh and also didn’t have all components. For the price of £13, I am not expecting 4 soggy leaves and 4 small pieces of cauliflower with no tomatoes or lemon or any other kind of vegetables

Lunch was outstanding! Staff were professional and happy! We will definitely be returning!

Amazing view, friendly staff and lovely food.

The food was good but the prices were eye- wateringly expensive for what it was. The burger was nice enough, but it was definitely not worth £22, while the portion size of our squid starter was miniscule. I don't mind paying more for good food, but the price doesn't justify the experience.

Weather was a bit windy so today we decided to come here for lunch. Staff were great, food was good, ambiance was superb. Highly recommend when weather is not very pleasant.

If you can afford the very expensive menu go for it

We had a lovely evening at The Beach Club Resturant. Maxine and her team were attentive and friendly. The chefs delivered the best mussels my wife and I have ever tasted. It's definitely a little gem in Carbis Bay with stunning views out to sea. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I love it here, food is always great, staff extremely friendly, knocked off a star for service as on both our visits this time items ordered were forgotten.

WoW der Ausblick aus dem Inneren des Beach Clubs zum Meer ist außergewöhnlich schön, auch die helle Einrichtung gefällt mir sehr gut, da kommen die schönen Meeresfarben der Carbis Bay wunderbar zur Geltung. Die Speisen waren durchschnittlich im Geschmack aber schön angerichtet. Wir hatten zwei Vorspeisen, zwei Hauptgänge und ein Dessert, welches wir uns geteilt haben. Dazu eine Flasche Wasser und Wein. Der Weisswein war sehr gut. Der Service war unaufmerksam aber wenn jemand am Tisch war dann sehr freundlich, obwohl nur sehr wenige Tische belegt waren, besserte sich aber mit abnehmender Gästezahl, ich vermute dass das Personal noch nicht eingespielt war. Die exklusive Lage an diesem wunderschönen Strand ist unschlagbar, deswegen ist das Preisniveau auch dementsprechend hoch. Meines Erachtens können die Speisenqualität und der Service nicht mithalten, jedoch die bestellten Weine hatten eine gute Qualität, das muss ich nochmal ausdrücklich erwähnen. Geparkt haben wir direkt oberhalb der Beach Bar. Eines der Locations mit dem besten Blick auf unserer Reise durch Cornwall . Dieser Beach Club wäre aber nicht mein Favorit wenn ich einen Ort ausschließlich nach kulinarischen Wünschen auswählen würde.

This place has good sea views. Interior is very good too. Sadly the food I had was not good as I expected. And the price for that was not worth as it tasteless. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I was invited to a wedding reception. The place was in a beautiful setting. The wedding couple chose fish and chips for the guests. The food was amazingly delicious. I do draw the line at £18 for a medium glass of wine though. That is ridiculous.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life! This restaurant is beautiful externally and internally and has the most amazing views but the service is awful, and the food even worse! It really was a shame as I was here for my birthday dinner after a lovely day at the beach, this restaurant is attached to a 5* hotel so we are expecting pleasant food/service, especially given the £20 price tag on the pizzas. We were left waiting for around 30 minutes before our drinks order was taken, then the food finally arrived and we were confused as the pizza looked like it had been made on a tortilla it was that thin. It was completely flavourless, my partner ordered the Regina and myself the Italian. We were so confused as to the lack of flavour we wondered if we had suddenly developed a cold. The waitress albeit a lovely lady, forgot twice the things we had ordered and brought the wrong thing twice. The restaurant was barely full and most were just having drinks. When we politely mentioned how bad the food was the lady said she would let the chef and manager know, we waited another 30 minutes, no manager came over, the same waitress mentioned there is a new chef and that she would take 10% off. It’s rather bad service / management to not speak to those making complaints but they clearly don’t care. I would encourage those in the area to avoid this restaurant with a barge pole. The drinks are OK but more overpriced than central london and the food is shocking for an establishment of its supposed level of prestige!! Shame as it could be a real hot spot and incredibly busy but it left us feeling rather flat and disappointed.

Lovely location, but service was a let down. It wasn't overly busy but it took a while for a server to serve us, and no one checked on us in a timely manner. We sat outside on hard wood benches. We saw cushions inside but none were offered to us when we said we would sit outside. Considering a service charge of 13% is included in the bill, I'd have expected a bit of effort was put in. Prices were elevated as you'd expect for the location, but nothing seemed overly expensive, however it should be a lot better if you're asking a premium price.

Called in for a drink. Its table service only and we waited about 10 minutes and no one approached us so we ended up waving at the staff. Beautiful location but you paid for the luxury of the view £12 for a small wine. The place its self was not as wonderful as the view, it was OK but not 5*.

Absolutely amazing food and service. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because of the £30 service charge on the end of the bill. We never mind leaving a tip but a compulsory service charge felt unnecessary and left us confused.

Great service from Norby and brilliant views from the beach club! The coffee and Victoria sponge were delicious and the complimentary shortcake biscuits with our coffees were much appreciated. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks!

Beautiful setting overlooking the beach,but unfortunately food wasn't up to much,the squid starter was lovely but we both had Pizzas mine was a seafood pizza where I had 5 mussels 2 of which were closed which was very bland and my wife had a spicy one which also was bland,I thought overpriced for what we got.Drinks where very expensive $12 for a 250ml glass of red wine.went to go and pay and the lady was more concerned about how much tip I was leaving and could I pay in cash !! so sorry we will not be returning..

Service was friendly and welcoming but the food was poor. Haddock and chips with mushy peas.. Difficult to mess up you’d think! But the fish was cold and the chips were overcooked. My wife’s Gumbo was overly spiced and the £75 for 2 was pricey given we only had 3 beers with dinner. There were lots of people in the kitchen with out door clothes on I noticed when going to the loo.. I’m not sure food hygiene was too of their agenda.

Drinks didn't arrive after patiently waiting half an hour, while people who arrived and ordered after us got their drinks brought over promptly. Waitress who took our order clearly saw us sat with no drinks each time she walked past, with not even an acknowledgement that we waited so long. We ended up walking out and won't be going back.

Loved this restaurant. Food was excellent, gorgeous views and friendly staff.

Great location but that is it. Very pricey for what it is and food was ok. Nearly £20 for a large glass of sauvignon! Would not go back. However beach huts below were what you'd expect at Carbis Bay.

Nice place to stop for a drink during the day, but don't bother eating in the evening. Quite disappointing.

I don't mind paying for food that is good but we ordered the burger and to be honest, it was the worst burger that I have ever had. They also add a surcharge onto the bill. The Manager was very customer selective and was turning some people away, even though there were tables available. Very over priced and poor quality. Would definitely not recommend.

Beautiful location, we married at the hotel 12 years ago pre- beach development. Having returned for the first time on holiday we opted to dine here to celebrate my birthday... The lady who greeted & seated us was lovely, not so much the other staff, although they were polite. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned, and for a clean water glass. The baby squid starter was miniscule, the crab risotto was nice, the prawn curry main was liquid with a few prawns, good spice but lukewarm, the burger bun was dry, I had to push for a side salad with the squid main that came with just a few fries and my son's pizza needed returning, a few tomatoes & pools of oil sat on the top, unappetising! The food and drinks are VASTLY overpriced, not made to feel special...wouldn't dine here again, and definitely NOT worth the £190.00 price tag....I'd recommend you BYO on the beach!!!

Lovely place to stop for a drink when visiting the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful with dietary requirements. They had a vegan menu which was great! (Beach club only, not the restaurant) Loses a star for pricing, especially the drinks. Definitely paying for location over quality of menu. That being said, we'd visit again

Beautifull place but totally been taken over by the hotel. Not a place I'd visit again. We attended a wedding hear. Cocktails at £17 each. The food was that posh I definitely didn't rate it at all. And you get the feel if ur not rich ur not welcome. Also the hill back up is an absolute killer.

Visted on 23/06/22 for lunch. Fabulous location with superb views over the bay. Food was great albeit expensive but this was our last day before heading home so it was a treat. Staff were very attentive initially but then we struggled to get their attention twice, firstly to order food and then a second drink.The restaurant was very quiet at the time. Having paid the bill ( and yes I probably should have checked it prior to leaving) I realised we had been overcharged and that also a hefty service charge had been added .

Booked for a meal for a birthday, the restaurant is stylish with wonderful views over the bay which is what I feel you are paying for. The food was nice but in no way worth the price. I had the burger which came in at £21 which i thought was a little steep for a burger and chips and I was expecting more given the look of the restaurant and the prices they were charging. I would definitely visit the bay again for the beach and the views, would visit to eat again of the prices came down a little to reflect the food. Staff were wonderful and very professional at all times which is why I gave 3 stars. Parking at the restaurant is limited so you may have to park further away and walk down.

Beautiful beach the bay hotel looks nicethe coffee was the worst coffee I ever had and at 3.50 it was cold and tasteless so won't be going there again

We had a lovely meal here. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was lovely. I am gluten intolerant but was able to get everything I wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they even welcomed our little dog too. Thank you!

Really disappointed. Just finished meal an hour ago. 4 star hotel who basically has pub grub. Deserts choice of brownie. Bread and butter pudding and waffle…. 3 cheeses with biscuits £15. A joke. My fillet steak was chewy with Burger King like chips. Would not recommend Should have checked previous recent reviews before going as they are as bad.

You're paying for the location because the food isn't worthy of the sky high prices. Burgers were good, but my main was neither particularly generous nor well cooked. Staff didn't seem that interested in our experience either. Go to Porthminster Cafe instead; it's a far better experience.

The little beach side shop underneath is overpriced, slow and poor quality. They overcharge (above the listed price) and the tat they sell is of very low quality. The food and drink is way over priced and you have to queue for over 30 minutes to get it.

You get what pay for, this area is dear but it's location and affordability is balanced by the very dated rooms and general decor. Highlights are its very close to the beach, clean and staff were a delight. If you're looking for no folks but close to the beach this is the one. Parking we had trouble finding the hotel one but the do apparently have 16space at the rear. The station parking is not far and under a tenner for over night so can't grumble, uses "just park" app Advice for hotel: massive reno needed but start with new doors with cars lock and have a bell boy to help carry cases up stairs even from station car park but at least front steps

Great views and friendly staff. But that's where the positives ends. Service was appalling, extremely slow (one hour before the wait staff came to take orders), clearly not enough service staff for the number of tables. Food was mediocre. Disappointing experience overall.

Told to find a seat and that someone would come out to take our order. We sat for 20minutes waiting, not a single member staff even looked our direction. Lost our business and won’t be returning.

The views and space were amazing, the food and service were a little disappointing. We had chosen to go here to celebrate a birthday, but a sit down lunch at 1.30pm, didnt get starters served till nearly 2.30pm. It was a shame, staff were nice.

We visited carbis bay cocktail bar today, followed our amazing waiter Frankie from our holiday in May, made a special visit to see him today in Carbis Bay. As always, the cocktails were amazing, and Frankie is so friendly, we love visiting him! Thanks Frankie for yet another amazing experience. Summer or winter, everyone should pay them a visit! He is the best!

Well as for the hotel room and the spa, it was fabulous. Very friendly staff, with a great service. Breakfast was also very nice, came quickly and hot.

Expensive. Pretentious. Staff not very welcoming. Drinks (we came for coffee/tea) we’re not good for the standard.

Sheer greed and arrogance from the Owner. Aware of ongoing local protests, spreading the word along here at Bristol and South Gloucestershire. True Celtic Fury will give you your comeuppance.

You need a mortgage for a drink if you like wine 12 to 20 pound a glass
