The Beach Cafe in Lancaster

Lovely dog friendly beachside cafe, good coffee and food for both people and their four legged friends (doggy ice cream!).

One if my regular destinations with mate on our motorbikes. Never had a bad experience or bad food. Good breakfasts and butties.

Food ok ,Staff weren't welcoming

Fantastic location but pretty dissapointing, waitresses looked fed up ,table sticky , couldn't have soft roll with crisps ,only salad, but could have ciabatra with crisps , so took that option, however ,I didn't want toasted cheese and Branston, that wasn't relayed to the kitchen , had to pay on arrival of drinks ,and then had quite a wait for sandwiches , it could be so much more ,what a shame .

Food excellent served quickly And with care...

Great place to visit when you are on the front. The staff were friendly,the toilet facilities were good too. Coffee was great, prices were ok.

Has some really nice blackcurrant and cream ice cream please can you tell me the name of that ice cream I want to see if I can buy some myself

Took granddaughter and friend for breakfast. Children had milk shakes made from ice-cream too which they loved. Food was good as well. Lovely views out over the bay as it was a sunny day. Staff were friendly and there wasn't a lot of waiting even though they were reasonably busy. Would recommend a visit here.

Been before and very nice. This visit was very busy. Told it was table service only as there were no tables asked to wait outside and someone would take our order. 30 minutes later no one came so we left. Disappointed in this occasion. Been before and the coffee and cakes were lovely.

Quick stop to refuel. Sausage and egg roll was simple but delicious. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices.

Only place on the seafront that looks ok. Nice indoors. STICKY table. Requested that it be cleaned .....done but made absolutely no difference. Obviously needs new tables. Scone and coffee perfectly pleasant. Warned that I would have to move if a larger family came in. I was on a 4 seat table!!. Like who says that to customers. Morecambe just wasn't that busy

I ordered to go, bit of a wait, food and coffee on the pricier side but it was worth it.

As we had a dog with us, we had to eat outside. It was a sunny day but with a cold breeze coming off the sea. The staff were helpful. And the food was good, and at reasonable prices. I only had a quick snack as we were having dinner later.

Went in for a cup of tea & sandwich as my blood sugar was low. I use a wheelchair & was told to go outside as I could not be in the cafe. Pure Ableism. I did leave, very upset, humiliated & with low blood sugar.

Would not serve a wheelchair user friend of mine. Told her she "couldn't be in here". Avoid this terrible place.

Only had a coffee on our walk along the Prom. Always a nice place for a drink and the food is good. Great views, what more fo do you need !!

Great local beach cafe. The service was very good . Table service is quick and efficient. We enjoyed our food and the prices were reasonable. £26 for three lunches and drinks. We sat outside, inside seemed to be comfortable and welcoming. The only negative is the toilets are public portaloos that you need to pay for. We will be back to try and ice cream .

Visiting the seaside town, a very hot day, stopped off here for icecreams 🍦 🤩..a member of staff promptly informed us to take a seat outside table's & she'll take our order. Lot's of various hot/cold food/drink available, seating inside too, great for kid's lot's of choice available. Public Council toilets also situated at the side along the promenade. Great service thank you.

Been in today while working with some one always friendly and polite great service with amazing views over the bay

Food ok except for salad garnish one baby gem lettuce leaf slice of tomato and cucumber no cutlery and no serviettes,staff not very nice quite rude.

Never been before so pleased to be near enough to try it. It wasn't especially busy although all the tables were occupied. We were happy to wait for one but we were ushered to a seating area rather brusquely. Then asked for a menu so we could peruse it while waiting (little blonde waitress rolled her eyes) at this. Feeling rather miffed,we agreed to sit outside with an ice-cream so asked if we could choose one...."you'll have to wait -other customers have to come first!". Well,FYI, having to juggle and multi task are normal in most jobs but in hospitality,it's especially important -out of common courtesy and for repeat business. No need for the poor attitude. Will not return.

We has a brew and a cake/scone, the cake was quite tasteless, the scones were a strange shape and very crumbly, but the staff were very helpful x

We come here every Saturday morning with our dog for breakfast . Friendly and accommodating staff . Food is always good and they fry my eggs and make my coffee exactly the way I like it . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟

Nice view from the window. But the interior design is so sad. It could use some flowers and more color. Unfortunately, the table was dirty, probably not enough staff. The espresso was very sour. I can't drink that coffee. The jack potato was very tasty. Japanese cherry tea also.

The most amazing little cafe on the bay . The food was amazing , such a great range , tea and coffee was amazing and you get more than what you pay , and the view is amazing , looking over the bay is beautiful especially with the lakes in the background it’s almost fairy tale . The service was amazing as well , such amazing people .

On way back to Midland Hotel area of Morecambe we came across this little gem of a cafe and had the best Latte’s we have had for a long time. Lovely friendly staff as well. Recommend to give it a try. Jock

Lovely little cafe in a prime location overlooking Morecambe's seafront. A lovely selection of foods offering vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options too. Dog friendly so a plus for walkers also.

I,my wife, two friends and my dog went to the cafe in the afternoon. On entering a group of people with another dog were sat at a table and the dog got very agitated and started to bark loudly. As we didn't want to cause any problems with my dog we didn't go to the table with 4 seats near the other group so we went opposite them and asked the staff if we could put two tables and chairs together to accommodate us. The staff weren't happy with that as they said it would stop other customers from sitting down. As I said it was 2pm ish on a Monday not many people were around so the possibility of a full cafe was very unlikely. So because of the staff's reluctance we left the cafe very frustrated annoyed and hungry. We found a high good reception and drinks at Rita's which we would recommend.

Two of us called in while back filming for TV just for a take out there was 5 tables empty so I sat while another ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. The man ordering told me we have been told to stand by the door to wait? Rather rude when the place is empty. If it wasn’t I wouldn’t have taken a diners seat.

We ended up walking out after waiting some time to get served. Wasn't even given a menu. Really wasn't very busy. Staff didn't seem to give a toss. Poor service.

I mixed my doctors appointment tine up so popped over for a coffee and fruit toast I realised I had forgotten my purse! The staff were wonderful and said enjoy your things and pop back. They helped me try to set up Apple Pay too. I don’t know if it has changed hands because the service and atmosphere is a lot better these days Excellent

Went to meet a friend for a chat. We were constantly moved to accommodate other people as the place filled up at least 6 times. Quite difficult as I do not have good mobility. Coffee was good but small cups. Of course the view is fantastic. However I will never go again to be pushed from pillar to post on what should have been a relaxing experience. More like school dinners.

We visited late on Saturday afternoon the staff were helpful and pleasant. Coffee was lovely and the biggest surprise the large selection of gluten free cakes. Will definitely visit again

The the view is the fabulous. I was freezing and had done my Parents's shopping and wanted a treat. Having worked in cafe's I could identify most people had been served apart from myself and one other table. We both made the mistake of going to the counter to be told it's table service. I then waited quite some time while staff wrote up the blackboard menu, changed toilet rolls in the loo, chatted and generally ignored me and the other table. One table by the window left so I asked politely and changed tables. Both were dirty and unwiped. Continued to be ignored for a further good few minutes. Eventually someone came to take my order and I asked her to clean the table although I would expect this to be standard practice. The staff ( not the lovely polite girl serving me but the ones doing little or nothing appeared to take exception to me at this point and and the proceeded to gossip and laugh and nod towards me several times to the staff in the kitchen. She brought me my hot chocolate and said "enjoy" however I didn't and couldn't leave quick enough. 2.50 for a rubbish drink and a nasty atmosphere,. No thanks. Rubbish place let down very badly by an unpleasant set of staff Couldn't agree more with this quote from another review. "All feels a bit careless and lacking in charm. Except for the view."

Came for lunch on bank holiday weekend Saturday. Obviously one of the busiest days of the year, but after a 10 minute wait we managed to get a table with stunning views over Morecambe bay. Had a panini each which was exeptionally good and was accompanied by a fresh mixed salad. Asked for vinaigrette dressing which was just right. Staff were friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable. Overall a good eating experience!

Popped in this morning for takeaway teas and bacon/sausage baps after dog walk and park run. Lovely welcome from the team, efficient and quick service. All with perfect views across the Bay 🤌

If you want sandwiches and cake with tea or coffee great! A whole load of gluten going on otherwise. Clean and tidy, partitions between tables (which have a sticky surface). Tea leaves, not bags, insufficient leaves in the pot for me. Thank you for the milk alternatives.

This is a really nice business on Morecambe sea front. The selection of drinks and snacks is good and the service is welcoming and efficient. We've only tried it once but wouldn't hesitate going back.

Excellent table service inside and out, tasty food

First time there, lots of people have commented about the tables being sticky, apparently it's the cleansing and disinfectant solution they have to use, it was nice and clean in there, busy cafe, plenty if staff serving, quick prompt service x

Literally the best Bacon and Egg sandwich I’ve ever had. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and our pooch. What a lovely place with great staff!

First visit to Morecambe , walked 5 miles on the fabulous Promenade and then had breakfast in The Beach Cafe. Food , service and friendly staff excellent

Not great. Tables were sticky. Got short changed by £10, when the waitress was made aware I got £9 back, she couldn't do the arithmetic but I let it go. Toasted ciabatta was significantly low on filling. Great view though.

Love the look of the building, Popped in for a coffee, the lady that served me was really friendly and welcoming. The view was great and the coffee was lovely, one small issue, the table was really sticky. Would go back again though.

Lovely bacon sandwich and the view is the best in Morecambe . I didn’t have a cake but they looked great . Bit sad about the weak watery coffee, the sticky table, and the waitress with a loud high pitched voice whose gossip to the staff in the kitchen and comments about how the ‘single woman at that table should go if she’s not going to order anything else’ - that was me by the way. - could probably have been heard in Grange over Sands. If you want a quiet coffee and to look at the beautiful view be prepared for the peace to be rather shattered. I was actually going to order tea and a scone but decided I was no longer welcome so I left. All feels a bit careless and lacking in charm. Except for the view.

I meet up on a Wednesday morning with my family at the café. The staff are always lovely and friendly and after a while they know your usual orders off by heart. It's always clean and tidy, they've followed government guidelines perfectly. I would 110% recommend this café to everyone. And the view across the bay is perfect...

On my walk, called for hot chocolate and a piece of there delicious carrot cake. Both were delicious. Staff are lovely and friendly.

Came from redcar for a little day out. Staff member was outside on a break, super nice and helpful even off duty. Next visit to morecombe ill be there again for sure :)

Dissapointed, the service was slow even though there was enough staff on And the food was definitely not upto the same standards it used to be no salad garnish or crisps with ciabbatas but prices don't seem to of have altered. Sadly won't be going again.

probably our regular favourite cafe, nice staff, good service if you are not in a hurry and a decent cup of tea. But, i wish they would clean the tables with something that does not make them sticky even my phone had to be prised off.

This is one of the places you find and wish you had found it sooner. The food and drinks are excellent. I had Tea and BLT, one of the best I've ever had. Grandkids had ice cream milkshakes and they didn't leave a drop. Service is quick and friendly, and the place is very clean and well furnished. Give yourself a treat. Highly recommended.

Very good beach front café at the Heysham end of Morecambe prom. Good selection of breakfast offerings. Handy for the Morecambe prom parkrun on Saturday mornings.

Greeted with smiling eyes, seated and given menu straight away. Food and drinks came in good time, we had Panini’s which fresh hot and very tasty and washed down with a pot of Earl Grey tea made with loose leaf tea (it’s the little things that make that difference) All round pleasant visit, all staff very friendly and helpful, but not in your face. Well done all.

We arrived at Morecambe and found a car park on the sea front. Needing a toilet we were pleasantly suprised to see public toilets next to the car park and the little 'Beach Cafe too. We ordered a tea and coffee and within 5 minutes we had our hot drinks at out seated table outside, Drinks were nice and reasonably priced.

Visited twice on our visit to Morecambe for a long weekend. The staff were friendly and efficient on both occasions. The drinks and cakes were very good. The toilets were spotlessly clean and they have very good covid precautions in place. They are also dog friendly and sell dog ice cream in a tub for £2 which our dog thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped here for a snack last weekend. Very pleased with our sandwich, scrambled eggs on toast and pot of tea. Fresh ingredients, prompt and friendly service. Excellent value too!

Lovely location but very slow service and OMG how OCD was the waitress with Covid check-ins. No need for it.

We had a lunchtime comfort stop here after a wander along the promenade and enjoyed a drink and snack.My large Cappuccino was as tasty as any I've tried recently, and we thought the Cheese and Onion toasties were good too.Service and covid safety measures were also spot on and the cafe was pretty busy inside and out. We would visit here again for sure.
