The Battle of Bannockburn Cafe in Stirling

Food was very nice. Views were great across the park. Comfortable seating and area kept very clean. Reception was a bit frosty however no pressure to leave on e we had eaten.

Great coffee, fairly expensive . Traybake nice,,Scone very dry . Service not overly friendly unfortunately Lovely area outside to view from inside and very clean

Although they were nice I thought £32 for 2 coffees and 2 soups with toasties was very expensive. The lady on the counter wasn't very customer friendly and seemed rather abrupt

On a very hot day we were looking for somewhere to have a light lunch indoors with the children, so tried this visitor centre close to our hotel. Our sandwiches were delicious, served with fresh salad, the cafe light and bright, cool and spacious, looking onto the park that is the battle site. Afterwards we enjoyed the park with its panoramic views, informative memorials and shady trees. Very few people were using the cafe, which was surprising given its stunning location and excellent food.

Chose the Heritage Centre cafe for lunch as it is an open and spacious area adhering to health regulations. The gentleman who took our order was very pleasant and cheerful and our choice of food was good. For a cafe, the prices are quite high but that is not unusual in a museum setting and it was an enjoyable experience with a good view from the large windows.

El té y los bollos estaban deliciosos y había una buena selección de comida fría y caliente. Los asientos eran variados y todos podían ver la hermosa vista hasta Robert the Bruce a través del café con paredes de vidrio. Había una pequeña exhibición de historia para ver en relación con la experiencia de Bannockburn y una puerta al exterior lo condujo a un camino hasta la estatua. Volveríamos de nuevo por los bollos!

Totally overpriced cafe. Nice and clean though. No discount for National Trust members. Not yet visited the attraction so not sure if it is worth the £11+ entry fee...four adults (annoyed my kids turned into adults) £100 for an afternoon...

The cafe within the visitor centre is a very nice place to have lunch or quick snack. Soup, sandwiches and a number of hot dishes were available along with the usual cakes and tray bakes. Nice views out across the battlefield.

Used to the cafe at the Burns visitor centre in Ayr I was expecting a similar standard but unfortunately Bannockburn fell very short compared to the Burns centre.

Little cafe, with friendly staff. Though it looked like they needed an extra hand over lunch time... Mushroom soups were tasty, but served a bit too cold...

Went to this cafe whilst on a Lochs & Glens trip. Plenty to eat drink and see/buy. Good value which is what you would expect from the National Trust

Film was computer generated. It resembled a cheap pc game. The play with swords section was patronising for anyone over 7 years old. The whole thing trivialised a wonderful story. It would have been better served with actors telling or reenacting their stories.

Did not have high expectations of a small cafe attached to a tourist attraction but the food was very nice and tasted home cooked. Good value for this type of venue

This cafe meets the usual standards for National Trust and National Trust of Scotland, clean, good food, plenty of choice. Well worth planning to eat here before or after the experience.

Well fitted out cafe, good selection of snacks,cakes and drinks on offer at reasonable prices. Good seating with views across parkland and Robert the Bruce mounted on a stead. Friendly and helpful staff aswell.

Όμορφη ατμόσφαιρα με ποικιλία προσφορών κατά τη διάρκεια της μέρας(πχ πρωινό ή γεύμα) ... Υπέροχη συνταγή με πατάτα ψητή και το παραδοσιακό σκωτσέζικο haggis...Γελαστά πρόσωπα έτοιμα να βοηθήσουν... Ίσως περισσότερες γεύσεις ζεστής σοκολάτας να λείπουν όμως το περιβάλλον αποζημιώνει...

Todas las buenas atracciones para los visitantes, y esta es buena, deberían tener un café para refrescar al visitante y al viajero. Hay poco de nuevo o sobresaliente aquí que lo hace destacarse aparte de una tarifa estándar de sopas, sándwiches y bandejas.

Bien, es un poco caro, pero es una gran vista "histórica", la comida es excelente, el personal es agradable y tiene un ambiente agradable. Curiosamente, todo el personal es inglés, lo cual me divirtió, ya que el lugar es el núcleo del escocés. Además, todos los estudiantes parecen estar leyendo historia en Stirling Uni. Hae Ho.

I stayed to eat here while in the area. The place was clean with many of the tables having a view of the site. Service was helpful. The food selection was good. A good place to use when visiting the site.

The cafe at the Battle of Bannockburn visitor centre was clean and offered comfy seating. The coffee was fresh and strong, and there was a good selection of cake (and hot/cold snacks )

Well up to the standard of the National Trust for Scotland, good basic food, sandwiches are pre-packed but fresh and good quality, we also had the soup which was excellent

There were only drinks and sandwiches and cakes here. They heated a baguette, but they could not toast it. So long as you are not expecting more, then it is enough.

Good quality home made soup was served by rather slow staff but it was worth the wait. It is served in an attractive non- pretentious room with fantastic views of the surrounding Ochil Hills.

Parecía que había una opción para todo el mundo y cada elemento estaba delicioso. El servicio era amable y eficiente. Si vas con gente que son caprichosas, puede ser mejor para encontrar otra opción. No tuvimos tiempo de disfrutar de las delicias de la tentadora y parecían!

Nuestro grupo no vienen a comer- fuimos para la historia. Nos quedamos muy impresionados con la creatividad de la presentación y la habilidad y el entusiasmo de nuestro anfitrión. Las actividades son divertidas e informativo, y el edificio en sí es moderno, limpio y atractivo....

Este fue un corto, atractivo para visitar. sharp En términos de, celebró tanto a mi como a la atención de mi hijo de 10 años de historia sin perder por lo tanto él me constante fastidiándolo. Un montón de personal. Además de los mejores hot...

Buena experiencia en 3D. . . . Fue un poco largo viento tener que esperar para ir a la sala de batalla (creo que el anterior grupo lleno un poco) y nos pareció más para la generación más joven.

Whilst waiting for our time to enter the 3D experience we stopped and had a hot chocolate at the cafe.The cafe was very clean, neat and the staff very friendly, our hot chocolates were actually hot and very delicious.The accompanying cakes were fresh and tasty.All in all, well done cafe staff..

Place is not big. Latte was average nothing special. Had to go back to the city of Stirling for proper meal.

What a delightful cafe this is. Great selection of fresh scones and cakes. There's also a good choice of lunch dishes as well. Great seating area with lovely views towards the Monument.

What an amazing place. Very interesting. The guide was fabulous and made the whole visit brilliant. The best inter active experience we have ever been to. Excellent.

Visited the cafe today for a well earned break. Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Lovely coffee. I only had coffee do can't comment on the food. Will visit here again.

It was a smallish cafeteria with ready made food, of acceptable quality but nothing to rave about. I would suggest eating before or after going to the visitor center rather than planning to eat at this location.

You could grab a take away sandwich, but hot food made fresh is available. My son had a wee breakfast to fortify himself to take over an apparent Pokemon gym on the grounds. Really, I thought we were here for the Poke Iman Gin, but there's just plain old gin around. My latte is soooo nice-not too bitter, great flavor. I spied a little too art of the cafe with a soft play area for the under 7 crowd. Also saw a couple of gluten free sweet treats for my fellow celiacs. Friendly polite waitstaff. Nice bite to eat here.

Well worth a visit, free entry national Trust even if you have the English cards. Great for kids lots to see. Cafe and shop both nice but not cheap

Lovely clean and well set out café, helpful and friendly staff and coffee and carrot cake were delicious definitely come back again as food looked very inviting.

Excellent cafe food and coffee with friendly service. A good variety of dishes available. The tea and coffee were hot and large servings.

This cafe is very well placed, the prices are too high though. The food itself is ok, but the soup was just average. We both had a bowl of the average soup, and split a brie and raspberry sandwich which was very good. However, the best part of the meal was the shortbread that was covered in Carmel and chocolate! This was delicious even if it was too expensive.

The coffee is overpriced,nice scones,good service,the chairs are very uncomfortable.reduce price of coffee you might have more people using it.

As a local Bannockburn resident I have been visiting the Battle of Bannockburn site since I was very little. The park itself is a nice visit, and the visitor centre has a pleasant gift shop and is very educational for kids. However I will not be returning to the cafe as the food was of poor quality, the staff were very pleasant though.

We broke a visit to the Visitor Centre (a wonderful experience) by having a wee bite to eat at lunchtime. We both had the chicken broth and a couple of sardines with a bottle of the local lager. The broth was very filling with lots of barley and big lumps of chicken and was extremely tasty. Very reasonably priced too. We sat by the window and had a fantastic view of the Bruce memorial (very impressive) and were surprised not to find more people there. But it was a very cold day and although the sun was shining, snow was forecast and by the time of writing this review it was indeed snowing hard.

Cafe seemed overpriced. A small mug of rather tasteless lentil soup and a roll is £4 which is one of the cheapest items on the menu. Staff are helpful and friendly though but if your visiting with a family and looking for lunch the Holly bank hotel down the road offers better value

This is a gem of a cafe with bright cheerful surroundings where there is delicious food served by very pleasant helpful staff. My friend and I had tea and scones - fresh and full of sultanas- while looking out at the lovely countryside, once a battlefield. And as a bonus parking is available in front of the building- free! The cafe is available for every visitor even if not participating in the Bannockburn Experience.

Food was quite good, but there wasn't much choice, however I had a very good flan and salad. When the waitress brought over the food, she forgot to bring the cutlery, so I had to get my own.

Had a lovely coffee and nice cakes good selection available not too overpriced as some places can be and very clean

Popped in for some home made soup while visiting the NTS site very good service and friendly staff, great views out towards the battlefield and back into the courtyard decorated with a mural of a stage of the battle, while we had our soup an artist was working on another mural dresses in battle dress, it all added to the experiance

Sat outside drinking excellent coffee. So enjoyable I almost missed the tour! Wonderfully light inside and lovely staff.

You don't need to go to the exhibition to eat in the cafe. Bright and clean , good selection of food and cakes. Pleasant service and suitable for vegetarians . Lovely walks around grounds after a good lunch what more can you ask for ! Excellent parking as well .

Rather small, just about enough room to swing two "proverbial" cats . Food typical SNT and as usual on the pricey side.

Wir waren dort nachdem wir uns das Besucherzentrum angesehen haben und es war wirklich in Ordnung. Die Sandwiches haben gut geschmeckt und es gibt gratis WLAN.

Nice simple lunch today, good pies, good cauliflower soup. If you're visiting the visitor centre, you may as well have a meal as well. Cakes looked good too. And it's all pretty stylishly decked out

give it a go It is superb, you will not be let down , a bit pricey but makes up for in quality , nice staff , clean place overall a good time was had by all .

good for an afternoon out, we did the full tour and fought the battle our way after being shown the origional and we would have changed history if battle was won our way, lovely little cafe with homemade food which was really fresh and not expensive at all would recomend it strongly

The Cafe is spotless and really airy and welcoming. Excellent food and good range of drinks available.

We enjoyed sitting down in this clean, bright and light place for a bite after viewing the exhibits. The service was pleasant and the food good with nice choices.

Had a coffee after being in the visitors centre, it was clean and inviting place to stop after taking part in the battle. Good choice of food and bites to eat & drink, reasonably priced. It did have some interactive rooms for children to paint/draw in near the cafe, we did not use them so not sure if you have to pay for this.

There was not a lot left but it was after 2 pm. Soup and a roll hit the spot. Pleasant staff. Bit cramped but for what it is trying to do it does it well

Good way to spread out the time between checking out the Robert the Bruce monument and the grounds, before going into the remaining exhibition. The coffee and cake choices are as good as they look and everyone is friendly enough.

Facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff could not be nicer. Great place to go for something to eat with small kis.

They offer a Robert the Bruce burger and so my cousin and I shared one then we got the garlic fries on the side. Our friend also got the Bruce burger. The burgers came with coleslaw that was oppressively mayo--neither of them ended up eating it. The salad was good, though, and so was the meat. That was some seriously good meat. And they had some GF dessert options so that was a plus =) The fries were well-cooked and the garlic mayo dipping sauce was pretty good. And it was perfectly timed with our battle experience so we were able to fit lunch in after all =)
