This has to be the friendliest pub I have visited in many, many years. The staff are, without exception, welcoming and obliging and extremely efficient in serving with a genuine smile for the customer. The locals too are friendly and will engage an individual in conversation. Unlike the unfriendly town of Maidstone in Kent where I lived for 33 years prior to my return to Bolton last year. I look forward to patronising The Barnstormers for many years to come and cannot speak of the establishment too highly.

If you want sore feet, to not be able to have a conversation and to pay £7.50 for a pint then this place is NOT for you. However, if like me, you like to be able to sit down and have a conversation without having to shout at the other person then come on in! The Barnstomers is what I would call a proper local pub...good beer, reasonably priced and friendly staff. I bloody love it

Called in for just for a drink the pub had a few people in barmaid was friendly, place was clean they do food as a couple of customers were having lunch, not a pub I would go in again as it didn’t have much of an atmosphere, probably because the local football team was away. They serve a good pint though.

What a brilliant pub ! There's a barmaid that works there (TASHA) and if your lucky enough for her to turn in , she makes the very best milkshakes ! Highly recommend . There's also a chance to see vin diesels stunt double in there . Very nice guy too . The landlord looks like Herman Munster but is really funny . Brilliant place to go get a few beers and get bonkers with the local village idiots. Perfect for a drinkfest. Give my regards to the handsome gearbox chap ( vins double )

Visited the pub before Bolton vs Huddersfield FA Cup game. The pub gets packed before games but it didn’t take long to get served, due very efficient bar staff. Good beer choice. They pies and sandwiches are good value.

I ordered a pistachio kunefe crepe for collection order. Later realised I was mistakenly given the wrong crepe. When I called up I was asked to return to the store to pick up my correct order as there was a “mix up”. Not happy with this service

Not been here since we moved near Farnworth for over 10 years. And went this evening as craved some noodles. So glad we went back! Service, impeccable! Food, spot on! Cooked fresh, tasty and nice portions. Needless to say, from now on I am making the 10 min drive to here, rather than our local now, as its hands down 100 x better. Thank you kind man who served for the great service!

A bit late to be writing a review as Amore is closing at the end of the month but wanted to come on here and thank them for being a little haven of happiness for me over the last few years. My friends and I used to visit Amore weekly and enjoyed hours and hours of good food, service and atmosphere every time we went. The only reason we don't go weekly now is because the cafe's hours changed and we couldn't visit as often. The food has always been delicious. The cheese pie is divine with the chicken tikka toastie and the tomato soup coming in close seconds... the meat pie and the quiches are tasty too. And I havent even started to mention the cakes - too many scrumptious ones to mention (lemon drizzle, lemon & chocolate, orange & chocolate, red velvet, hazelnut and coffee all delish!) Plus the cream cakes - all good. The staff are great at making coffees too and will happily create the drink to your taste/requirements. They even remember my preferences and know my order for a mocha as soon as I ask for it! I've not even got on to their afternoon teas.. fabulous! The staff are again happy to sort out any dietary or taste requirements when you book and you are never felt rushed when you are in Amore. It is a home away from home. The staff have always been so friendly and accommodating. I am really going to miss this place i can only wish the staff and the owner all the best for the future. I hope they go on to have every success but... if they ever decide to start selling cheese pie again then I shall be first in the queue! Good luck for the future, take care. Xx

On a roll! New Years resolution to write reviews on places we visit so I know which ones to go back to. We went out for our first day out for what seems like years and had a great day finishing off here before catching the train home. Grabbed a bowl of chips and a pizza and had a couple cask beers and glass of wine. Clean and tidy place with the usual run of the mill cask beer and wine but served well enough and a lovely cosy room to the front. Worth a stop whilst waiting for the train.

Poor service for starters. Lots of staff walking about but seemed more interested talking at the bar than checking on customers waiting to make a food order. I got up and asked someone to take our order! Massively overpriced, poor tasting nachos at £9.50! I make better at home! Mains came and one dish was okay the other was very poor. Chips were also very over salted. The trend of serving food on plastic trays needs to end now, puts you off from the get go. Such a shame because we’ve been here before and had the food as take out during covid but this was one of those times when it puts you off and we won’t be back.
