Great cocktail choice and bargain offer 2 4 1!! Did not have food but it all looked and smelled great!

Called in to check out the newly finished beer garden area. Freshly made pizza's were fantastic, beer garden tastefully done. The only thing I would have done differently in the be garden would be to relocate the smoking area as in its current location it is between the main bar areas and the cocktail bar in the beer garden so none smokers age staff bringing food out have to go through the smoke area.

The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced too! The cocktails are great especially when on the 2 for £13 deal, will definitely be making this a regular dinner date place

We hired the mezzanine area at the Barclay for our daughters family gathering after her christening. It was a great place & perfect for this kind of gathering. The staff were lovely & couldn't do enough for you. The manager there that day "Becky" was fab & she was happy to help with anything we asked for. She also very kindly arranged for me to take some table decorations earlier on & very kindly set them all out for me & they looked perfect! The pizzas, graze boards & Prosecco wall were delicious, everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. The atmosphere was great & everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The singer then came on from the balcony which was really lovely! She had an amazing voice! Gorgeous place. Would totally recommend. Thanks again for all your hospitality.

The security on the door was amazing did their jobs properly and was very welcoming

Always mega busy on a Saturday night. The bar staff are quick to serve though, sometimes feels as though there are too many people in. It's a brilliant place though.

Wanted to say what an amazing venue we had for my Son's leaving party at the Barclay's (Mezzanine). The staff where amazing, so friendly, accomodating and helpful I would give 10 stars if I could. The pizzas where amazing too very tasty and plentiful. Thankyou to all the staff from the bottom of my heart for making the day/night so memorable. I would definitely recommend this venue for any parties/functions to anyone 🙌👏👏. Oh and a special thankyou to Emma (owner) for making the arrangements so easy for me to organise, from booking the venue to deciding what package to choose. Well done Guys 👏👏👏👏👏

£5.50 for a pint of lager is a bit steep, even if you are in Royton.

This is a fantastic little gem in the heart of Royton. Firstly when you walk in you can see the care and thought that has gone in to the décor which is tasteful and quite beautiful. They helped me to arrange a surprise baby shower making recommendations along the way for food and drink options and just couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We all had a fantastic time, the Mum to be was overwhelmed and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Thank you so much!

Lack of seating on the afternoon because of the early setting up of music equipment. Lost custom due to this. People coming in and going back out because nowhere to sit or stand.

Odd. Too many bar areas. And a pizzeria in the middle... Put the pizza bit back of house and free up some bar/people space. Or somewhere for people to go and eat. Otherwise, limit the number of people who come in (which isn't going to happen) Very nice place though.

Came on Friday with friends, drinks weren't great if I'm honest and after letting my friends boyfriend in (id's all checked on the door) the bouncers came up and kicked him out for wearing shorts the same ones he had on when he walked through the door not 5 mins earlier!

Paid & booked out the mezz level for my daughters birthday, was told 3 times to keep the noise down 3rd time by a very rude staff member who barged in and caused a scene infront of everyone very unprofessional, we weren't being loud just normal talking level with laughter and a few cheers you know normal having fun noise levels and wasnt told when booking the room we had to sit in silence. we had no control over the noise level of the music. will never go back there again. Imagine paying money for a special birthday and having the day ruined for having fun bet they were happy with the takings though. But if you like paying for a private room spending a fortune on drinks being spoken to like a child and not allowed to have fun then this is the place for you.

Fast becoming my favourite bar in the Oldham area. Great selection of beers and spirits. Have a new found fondness of rum. Cocktails are also excellent. The wife loves them. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and always leave pretty merry. Prices are a little high but that's to be expected in this day and age for the environment. What more to say. Try it out

The drinks, staff and general atmosphere are all very nice. I've been for pizza here a few times though and each time I would say the toppings are too scarce. Not enough sauce/not enough cheese, leading to a lot of bald patches on the pizza. I would come again for drinks but probably not pizza, particularly considering the pizza offerings at the courtyard

Never been here before but was invited to a 21st The atmosphere was brilliant live music Staff could not have been more helpful and polite a credit to the employer candels where forgotten for the cake by the family so one staff member went out of there way to go to the shop to get some now that's 5 star service the pizzas where delicious even got gluten free would definitely recommend a visit Smart casual dress Required and it was mixed ages

Came out for a meal and they wouldn’t allow us to order food or drinks because we had member of the group aged 20 and everyone had to be over 21. Stupid policy really since it was only 7pm.

Very delicious, clean food, excellent service, and the pizza is beyond amazing

The pizza is fabulous, so that'd be 5*+. However there are some minor inconveniences: - when we were there there was live music with a very talented guy, which was actually really good, but the music was a little bit too loud and we couldn't hear eachother very well with my friends. We didn't go to a concert, we went to have a meal. - the male toilets only have urinals. Apparently the owners think that men only ever have to π, they don't use the bathroom for anything else. - apparently they don't serve any hot drinks. At least that's what the bar staff told us.

This is one of the latest bars opened in Royton and is very busy especially sat evening. Very crowded. In fact I would say dangerously so. The music was very very loud and you couldn't chat really. Perhaps in time it will calm down and be more grown up.

Visited today July 18th 2021 for a birthday treat. Friendly enough bar staff but unable to tell me which drinks were available. After numerous trips backwards and forwards, to be told no Martini (Vermouth), no Port, no Pimm's and a Mojito wouldn't be possible. This is a bar? Next step, ordering a pizza... Ordered 2 Portobello, one with tomato and one without due to a medical condition. Two pizzas arrived, both complete with tomato. This was remedied by one being returned to the counter top and waiting on another pizza without tomato, which is fine, however my partner had finished all of his by this time. At no point did the chef come to check in with us or make an offer of recompense other than to serve the correct pizza. If this had been an allergy to a hidden ingredient after making my requirements known, it could have been a very different story. When our plates were removed there was no enquiry as to how the food was etc. The mushroom pizzas with truffle oil are nothing like they were up to one year ago. Why change the mix on something that was superb and well worth returning for? We have visited many times in the past to order the mushroom pizzas. We don't intend to return again unfortunately due to sloppy service, lack of attention to food order and no offer of recompense for poor service. Very disappointed.

The food was absolutely amazing! This was the best pizza I have ever had and the best tiramisu dessert I have ever tried in my life. Definitely I'll go back there, as customer service is outstanding.

Absolutely top notch, great service, fantastic food, we ate a ridiculous amount if food for not much money and left a very happy family. Really friendly staff and a lovely environment. We loved it, my 7 year old gave it infinite stars and said we should eat here every day.

I'm sure its "the great place to be" for young people, food and drink is ok, but the music volume is way to high and makes normal conversation almost impossible, maybe I'm just getting old 🙄

Amazing new menu, must try the meatballs and garlic mushrooms, best value in Royton without doubt.

Great use of that venerable old building and adds a lot more chic than the previous tenants. Royton centre is definitely the better for having the Barclay. Pizzas aren't bad either.

Great addition to Royton, although it's nice inside it's quite cramped around the bar area at busy times, in my opinion the tables are fall to close to the bar, leaving little room, also the bar staff could do with more training in regards to how to service customers more quickly at busy times, and make note of who has been waiting the longest to be serviced, as this can be frustrating when others who have just arrived at the bar, get service first, this has happened on more than one occasion. Room for improvement PLEASE.

Good range of drinks (some expensive) and live music. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The pizzas are nice but avoid the posh chips (crisps). Nice atmosphere, great place to spend a couple of hours.

Nice place, didn’t go for anything to eat so can’t review that. Had a drink which was pleasant, nice atmosphere for a Sunday evening though, could do with working on the staff. Generally not a good idea - even if it is close to last orders - to start cleaning the table next to someone having a drink, nothing like having the spay hit your arms and the taste of disinfectant and lager. Hope to return in the day however to try the pizzas.

The building itself is nice but it was too small and cramped. The staff unfortunately do not have the common sense to see who has been waiting the longest - 4 people pushed in front of us and none of the staff even picked up on this despite our objections. Also £14 for 2 gin and tonics - daylight robbery!

A lively drinking hole which serves pizza (I didn't try one). Found the noise a bit echoey due to the high ceiling which made conversation difficult. Apart from that, really good and worth a visit.
