The baldy chef’s kitchen in Glasgow City

Been ordering via delivery from this place for years and actually went in for the first time as I was passing by the other week. Adam the owner is a true gent and values his customers old and new. You can tell he really cares about his output as the food is CONSISTENTLY hot and fresh. He will always call if there is an issue and one time he took it upon himself to send a delivery driver out AGAIN with a fresh order after he got lost and couldn't find our address the first time. Everything here is homemade, and you can really taste the love and effort that goes into each dish. Delicious food prepared by a delightful man. His pizzas are beyond superb.

Got a pizza and tasted like a frozen pizza just with some extra toppings on it.

My always go to spot for doner, kebabs, pizza and fries. Adam never disappoints. Food is delicious, staff is friendly. I just wish they'd expand their restaurant to have a seating place, but no complaints because they always get the main thing right, THE FOOD....! A definite recommed!

Genuinely can’t get over how good the food is from here. The chicken pakora is the best I’ve ever had and the pizzas are perfect (though if you don’t like a thin base you might disagree).

Me and my friend went at lunch to try the burger and chips. It was our first time trying it out from there and we were very disappointed because the chicken fillet was over cooked and burnt and the chips were reheated again in the same oil. It took 30 min to receive our food. I unsure if I will be revisiting again as I was disappointed last time. Final note: the lunch menu was £5 for burger and chips and we were charged roughly £7 each portion, we were disappointed regarding that too as the end we were told another price.

When you come home late from work and your too tired to cook the baldy chefs boys always come up trumps..

We ordered at 4.55 and the estimated delivery time was already an hour. Then it arrived even after that time and when I phoned I was just told it hadn't been sent yet.

Didn’t have what I ordered so they called me. Changed to the suggested alternative but unfortunately the chicken tikka wrap was tasteless. Not sure why it had soggy chips in it either.

We used The Baldy Chef for my wife's birthday party buffet. The food arrived on time and was very hot after we had taken off all the tinfoil to serve. We had a selection of different foods and all of it was finished within a short period of time 😂 Quality was great and we would highly recommend this place. Thanks again Adam 👍

Chicken was fresh and delicious. Loaded chips were the best I’ve tried. The baldy one knows what he is doing.

Got loaded fries and two burgers for me and my girlfriend. Loaded fries absolutely 10/10 :) they mixed the cheese with the sauce I think? Incredible. Burgers are so tasty too but one complaint on those, the pancetta / bacon on the burgers was, extremely extremely "crispy" 🤔🤣 Other than that though burgers were still so good. Just removed the bacon lol. Loaded fries 10/10 superb Burgers 7.5/10 Would definitely recommend ordering from here, worth a try for sure :) great portions too and good value.

after reading all the reviews and craving a burger, my partner and I thought to give this place a go, didn't live up to everyone's reviews. very average burgers, no pancetta to be seen - it's just bacon. Got delivered the wrong loaded fries with our order, can't comment on those since I couldn't eat the ones received due to food sensitivities. appreciate the delivery time though

Absolutely brilliant place food was brilliant, and the guy behind the counter was very friendly. I will definitely travel over to the south side again just to get something to eat from here brilliant 10/10 from me.

Got a chips cheese dinner from here. And I must say the food was class. Portion size was alright but could be bigger since the foods that good. The mozzarella sticks are a must they are absolutely banging . Will defo be back Class service

Most of the food was delicious but the chicken pakora was absolutely black. Had it before and wasn’t burnt. Couldn’t eat it. But the rest of the food was superb as usual.

Had an issue with a previous order being late on delivery and Adam sorted me out no questions asked. Scran is always been great on my 4 orders especially like the chips and cheese with the garlic mayo. Got a customer for life in me now.

Pizza is decent, the base was a bit tasteless but decent sauce and generous with the cheese. If you like thinner pizza its a good shout. Chips and cheese with the garlic sauce is a belter.

Adam is a legend and makes the best pizzas In Glasgow. Great value, highly recommend!

order was late. requested update which informed me it would be later again. this was fine I can appreciate when places are busy and I was happy that they took the time to inform me and apologise. I then waited and still had no food. I then requested a refund which was declined Even though i was sitting at 9 oclock at night still with no food even though i placed order at back of 5... and DESPITE NEVER RECIEVING ANY FOOD AT ALL. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN.

driver was sitting outside in his car for over 5 minutes. When questioned about it he claimed he had to phone the shop as there was no flat number on the receipt and I should add it to my JustEat account. Flat number is added and never had any issues with it in over 7 years.

Placed order at 7.45pm didn't show till 9.45pm had to call 3 times! Food was barely warm, kebab meat and pakora was dry and overcooked and chips were soggy! Chicken strips were so tough even my dog didn't eat it! Ended up putting most of it in the bin! Extremely disappointed!

I’ve had quite a few takeaways from here now and everything has been great! I’m fussy with pizza but they have smashed it on that front. The wraps are great and the loaded chicken tikka fries are a must try!

Baldy Chef's had a hard task taking over the Southside institution that was Persepolis but they've done a great job. Loaded fries, burgers and pizzas are all great, and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Delivery was so fast and the food was absolutely delicious as usual. They forgot to put the sauce I ordered in the bag but when the food is this good, it isn’t a problem.

The pizza is very sparsely topped but the toppings are delicious and the dough is nice. More toppings please!!!!

The burgers were very good and the rest of the food (chicken, chips) were also good so no complaints from that point but we ordered at 7pm and said it would be 8pm which felt a stretch for small order only 10 minutes up the road but accepted its the weekend but then didn’t arrive until 20:40 as delivery driver “had to go to East Kilbride first”

Food was okay, ordered about £9 worth of drinks and dips which were all missing. Phoned the restaurant and they said driver had it. Driver came back a few mins later on the phone to the restaurant and said we should’ve had them in the bag which we definitely didn’t. Driver said “leave it with me”. Waited about 40 mins and phoned the restaurant but the line was constantly engaged. Not sure if they blocked the number or took the phone off the hook. So had to process missing item request.

Munchie box was meant to have chicken and veg pakora as per the description but i got chicken and onion bhaji which i dont like. Donner meat was nice. Burger was great. The bhajis knocked their rating down

Though if food delivery is late the shop has an issue with lying about when your order will arrive- please don't say it will take five mins and I'm still calling to chase it up half an hour later! Please be honest about delays, I promise that's much less annoying to customers than false promises! I've had this happen twice now and for this reason will probably avoid in future.

First time ordering from here food delivered hot and well presented however I found the pakora and kebab very bland not savoury

Cash or order via website ONLY. No cards accepted. Then order via website was unavailable when I visited. So was directed to a cash machine…. It’s 2023 everyone takes card, I appreciate card payments are expensive, increase your prices to cover this.

It's just a shame I can give more than 5 stars, honestly my chicken kebab was something of extraordinary. Definitely a MUST if you're in battlefield! I'm so glad I found this place, it's just what we needed in battlefield!

Food arrived piping hot which seems to be rare for most places. They also called to ask if I was happy to wait for the order which I thought was really nice. I hate to leave a bad review, but the chips had mozzarella on them which I hate since it’s just tasteless. Mozzarella just doesn’t belong on chips. I didn’t like the dough bites and felt the sauce had a strange taste. I also ordered the pancetta macaroni and felt the pancetta was quite chewy. The macaroni was ok but nothing special. Having just finished a 12 hour nightshift this morning, I waited to eat and was starving. I just didn’t enjoy this. Ive had the classic macaroni cheese from here before and thought it was delicious but unfortunately at £27 for my order, everything tasted quite bland to me and feel it’s way overpriced.

Best takeaway about and always a good chat with the staff :) The chicken shawarma was absolutely delicious and their pizzas are always top notch 👌

Worst macaroni cheese I’ve ever tasted and the chips were like last of the batch, all small and hard.
