Lovely oldy high street pub, clean and friendly and lovely manager Allum. A decent pool table and large beer garden, should be great in the summer. Also dog friendly 😁

Great local pub, 5 minutes walk from the train station. Clean and tidy pub, with good outside area. Good selection of drinks and regular drink offers.

bald guy behind the bar is miserable. never felt more unwelcome n uncomfortable somewhere in my life.

Bar staff were rude about us using a charger and told us they werent serving us, didnt even get enough time to buy a drink, fire fat bald guy he sucks lol

Has a sign saying they serve food, they don't. Also baldy behind the bar kinda miserable. Don't recommend.

Pleasant and friendly staff but no food (apart from crisps, etc) or coffee and the furnishings, whilst clean, were tired and worn. The toilets were clean.

Great locals ,great beer and a great atmosphere. They have a darts tournament board. Great pool table.

I used to go to this pub 19 years ago as a regular but stopped coming for a good decade because of the lack of atmosphere and friendliness, but the past year and a half this pub has become my local again. Well done guys for making it a PUB again.

Nice and friendly atmosphere. Everyone says hello even if they don’t know you. You walk in a stranger and leave a friend. Good choice of drinks and reasonably priced

Absolutely fantastic, the land lady and lord are the nicest folks you can ever hope to meet.if your alternative and love like minded folk this should be your new watering hole the garden is beautifully set out and the prices are great completely covid secure and just an excellent place to stop and have a cold one 😀

I visited the bakery in this evening with my nephew. I was pretty horrified to find nobody hosting on the door asking me to fill out form and and there's no sanitiser to sanitize your hands there is no one anywhere to tell you how how the layout of the pub works due to social distancing guidelines as stated and put in place by our local government hey the Prime Minister Boris Johnson there was clearly way too many people in both sides of the bar and lounge the garden I was round when asking the landlady how many people are you supposed to have in a cos I feel there is too many she replied I don't know we haven't been told I've got to wait for the police to tell me to which I replied while I can tell you now there is way too many people in here and where is your hand sanitizer and where is your door Marshall people walking the wrong way through the entrance and the exit people bumping into other people just lack of respect and lack of care and lack of Duty and basically they shouldn't be running the pub they should not be the landlord and landlady of any pub at all and as for drug dealers going on it is absolutely outrageous people passing parcels of drugs to each other and passing cash over

Idea for a quick cheap pint on the way to Link station, but I'd rather walk a bit further up and go to the Nags Head. Staff felt a bit uninviting... They do offer food but not sure if I'd come back to give it a try.

Visited for the second time this year as we had so much fun the first time. This is what I would call a traditional pub, with friendly staff & customers. They have a nice selection of Gins, but alas no food in the evening when we visited which was disappointing. There is a seated area outside at the rear of the pub and plenty of room for everyone.

We had drinks in a The Bakery Inn, which were of good quality and inexpensive. The staff were friendly but the pub lacked any kind of ambience. It would have been more inviting if the lighting hadn't been so bright as sadly it was like being in a doctors waiting room with back ground music. The managers are new to the pub so hopefully they may make a few changes.

The Bakery is a typical British pub which has decided to serve pub food. This is not a restaurant its a pub. That does not stop them charging restaurant prices.Sunday lunch is £10.50 plus an extra £1.50 for cauliflower cheese (normally incl in Sunday Lunch)Having said that food was good and served promptly.But the food at the New inn up the road is just as good and half the price.

Used to be a great pub was packed most nights and was my local for years until the new landlord moved in and killed the place. Now its just a empty shell with hardly any customers. Hopefully the next landlords will turn it back into a pub and not a tea room.

The food is excellent, well presented & reasonably priced. Friendly staff . They also have a variety well priced drinks. Overall it was a very enjoyable lunch.

Needed somewhere for lunch before visiting Morgan Factory. The Bakery advertised hot and cold food but It seems to be just a drinking pub with food as an extra. Nice welcome but when menu came most things we not available. Our hot food choice was down to two things only. On the positive side the coffee was good and presented nicely.

Great atmosphere, came over last Saturday for the first time and thoughly enjoyed it. Great band, good cheap beer, amazing staff, very welcoming. Would very much recommend to anybody thinging of coming. 😊
