(Written Aug 2024) Lovely small pub with friendly staff and amazing food! It’s only a couple of weeks into its new era, but already seeing the bar quite high! We’ll certainly come back when next in the area and recommend it highly!

We walked into the Bakers a couple of weeks ago and I was impressed with the refurb. My friend who is a beer connoisseur was very impressed with the ale. I took my wife and friends for my birthday meal and really enjoyed the food and service. Highly recommended.

CAN THERE BE 10 STARS FOR THIS PLACE??!!!🥰🥰🥰 The absolute best burger and sirloin steak i have had in probably 40-50 years. OH MAW GAWD--- the absolute BEST. The steak tasted exactly like what my dad would grill for us when I was a kid. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Have now enjoyed several experiences at the newly relaunched Bakers Arms. From a quiet pint on a weekday lunchtime to Sunday lunch, it doesn’t disappoint. Good food, without being ‘gastro’ or fussy, along with good service and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We came last night and had an excellent meal, great variety of drinks and very personable staff. Each staff member took their time to speak to us, recommend places and find out a little bit about our trip. We had a great conversation with the General Manager, apparently he was new and the pub had only reopened a week ago! You would've never known. Great time here and we'd definitely return when we come back! We would 100% recommend a visit.

Beautiful little country pub, apparently it’s just reopened. Lovely food - mix of what I would class as classic pub food and experimental dishes. We had Ham, Egg & Chips but also a Bhaji Salad. Great selection of wines as well! Would definitely return!

Ordered the roast chicken from the Sunday menu. Everything was most definitely from a packet and terrible quality, and as you can see from the photos no care gone into the food at all. The rest of the table actually laughed when the plate was placed down in front of me as it looked so bad. Will not be going back.

Looks like the pub needs a good cleaning. The toilet is very grotty, and the hand wash gel was empty. Nobody seems to refill or replace it at all. We wanted to order hot food for lunch, but because the cook has walked out, unfortunately, we can only order sandwiches. Overall, I was very disappointed to have had lunch in this pub. The scores on the door should come & check out their kitchen.

I’m sorry to say the food was really quite bad! Some of my chips were still frozen in the middle, the pie lacked flavour and the meat was chewy, the roast was meagre and absolutely not worth the price. Fine if it’s a pub that just does a bit of food but the food is cheap and it’s more of a watering hole, but for those prices, you’d expect higher quality food and service, it’s a shame because the pub itself is beautiful!

A traditional pub in a lovely village with an open fire. 4 of us had Sunday lunch there. 3 had roast beef and one had steak pie. Unfortunately, all of the meals came on cold plates, so the roast beef and potatoes were cold to start off with. The roast beef was actually 2 small slices, so this did not represent good value. The steak pie on the other hand was very hot and a good size, but the plate was still cold. So all in all a bit of a mixed bag. We wouldn't recommend the roast, but the pie was good. Good choice of beers.

We have never been in a pub that is so Depressing you have Woldorf & Statler both dog owner's sat at end of bar my God so Miserable for dog owner's worst I've ever come across , took our own dog bowl told not to put on carpet placed on stone floor the carpet was more dirty than the floor, still look on the bright side the food was good. If you are looking for a pub with a great Atmosphere Don't go there. I Don't Apologise for this Review I think you should just stick with your Depressing locals

Having spent 11 days on a camp site near you, we used your pub regularly. I was impressed with the way staff both old and young made us feel welcome and even the regulars did that too. Especially the gentleman that sits at the end of the bar with the dog called jack. The food was also brilliant, just what we needed.

First off, I was very impressed with the staff who are hard working and attentive. There was plenty of choice on the menu and quite a selection of draught beers on tap. What is also nice is that the whole place has the Cotswold feel to it. As you walk out of the car park, you get an immediate view of the Cotswold hills, its in a very scenic village, is close to Chipping Campden, and looks very traditional inside. Well worth a visit.

Can fault service or effort but my god the food is not up to scratch. Not a single meal was finished and sending it back to the kitchen seemed completely pointless. Dog friendly pub but was still strange to have a dog just roaming freely around the pub which seemed to be the owners'. The smell of the dog was a massive put off as well. Plenty of other pubs nearby that I'd recommend to try instead.

So my partner used website to book table but arrived to be told they hadn't received booking and had to sit in the dining room next to the kitchen with no atmosphere, so ordered food, sat waiting for while and the young lad carried our meals past us and into the bar I didn't say anything as wasn't sure it was ours, 5-10 minutes later he walked from bar and put my partners pie on the table and took mine back to kitchen then returned with hot mushy peas so I assumed meal was hot put mayo on and bit into scampi that was cold and chips I asked young lad if he had just bought back from bar and he said yes, my partner asked if he could have his chips that was supposed to be with meal and they never arrived and his steak pie didn't look like steak pie, meals are small and not value for money. This is set in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds just 5 minutes from Chippenham Camden, whichever way you go it's beautiful with views and scenery. I would say its best to try this pub and make up your own minds.

Best pub ... If you like witty banter with the locals, good food, and being able to breathe clean air in spectacularly beautiful countryside. Family friendly, dog friendly, Uber cute place. Firstly , the service was a bit lacklustre. We had to go to the bar to order the drinks and had to prompt the bar staff to take our food order. The pub is nicely situated in a very quaint small Cotswold village. I arrived, to be greeted with a fairly luke-warm reception - but I guess I was an early diner - at 12 noon. The menu was very basic, but is ideal for walkers in need of a pint and a few snacks. I ordered the fish cakes and they tasted and looked, as if they had been bought from a frozen chain food store. The chips and everything else were pretty average - sad to say! The hospitality warmed-up once my plate had been removed with most of the food still remaining. I live in the Cotswolds and so the upside is that the food and drinks are not expensive. Personally, I think that the owner should spend a little more money on the place - refurbishing loos etc without removing any of the character and charm. The pub has the potential to be red-hot but at the moment it is truly luke-warm!
