The Bake Express in Newcastle upon Tyne

Absolutely appalling. Two hours late every time I order and they don't have an actual number to contact them with, as well as extremely over priced. Absolute dump, don't recommend even in the slightest. Disgusting.

First of all food came and hour and a half late and was stone cold! The driver couldn’t find our property which is fine but we then had to go out of our way and drive to the driver to actually meet him with the food. After informing the restaurant of this they were very rude and just told us we needed to deal with Uber eats instead. Considering we paid £41 for some food to just get thrown in the bin seems like a waste will not be returning with their poor quality food and poor customer service!

Ordered on Uber Eats, when food eventually arrived 2 hours later (despite being given a delivery time of 45 minutes to an hour) it was freezing cold. The pita bread we’d ordered to eat with hummus was like cardboard and the chips were rock solid. As we were now hungry, we decided to eat it anyway. That is until I found a dark brown hair in my halloumi wrap which is especially concerning during COVID times. Tried to ring up to complain but no answer on the third attempt. No refund it looks like. Totally shocking - wouldn’t even feed it to the dog.

The food is store bought rubbish Brownie was a corner shop 50p one The crepe was 1 small pancake for £4 And the cake was home made but with gritty Buttercream Do not shop here (I rarely leave bad feedback)

Very disappointing first time order!! Food was delivered nearly 45 mins over the stated 55min delivery time... everything was melted and ruined.. only good things were the fudge cake and can if Dr pepper... not sure I would order again from here to be honest... wasted £15...

This is one of the only dessert places that doesn't just hand out frozen stuff I can get anywhere. The cheesecakes were lovely and didn't just have different toppings. Whilst the salted caramel cake had extra sauce added to the side once boxed which I found slightly odd, it was still nice and not stale unlike some places. The shortbread and brownies are pre packaged but still nice. The crepes whilst we did think were a bit more expensive were extremly worth it. It comes in 8 in box and is loaded with topping. Overall best dessert place I have been to with Justeat.

Waited over an hour for the delivery. Phoned up after 45 minutes of waiting (after the order was confirmed out for delivery) and the person on the phone was no help. The cakes were dry and the ferrero rocher cake was a plain chocolate cake with a ferrero rocher on top, nothing too special. The cookie cheesecake was alright however the cookie on the top was extremely soft which shows it’s been left a while. The brownie isn’t made in store as it is prepackaged which was a massive disappointment. The milkshake didn’t have much flavour and the cakeshake wasn’t anything special if not too sweet. We were given a free cake as an apology but that cake was dryer than the other cakes and tasted heavily artificial. Massive let down as this restaurant has great reviews but will definitely not be returning.

Rainbow cake was stale, Oreo cheesecake & daime cheesecake tasted odd. Also everything we ordered had a a whitish liquid pour over the cakes.... Disgusting! £13 this cost and it all went in the bin except the fanta. Never again...

Service itself was great and quick delivery but food/drink not so much. Milkshakes definitely misleading, when I order a kinder bueno milkshake, i expect it to actually taste like that and be blended, not just to be a banana milkshake and have a tiny square of kinder bueno floating on the top

What we ate tasted good but overpriced for the portion size. Food arrived warmish rather than hot and delivery driver rudely insisted he was outside our house (he wasn't) Nothing bad but we wouldn't order here again.

Food was 20 minutes late, cold and advertising free 12” pizza when you spend over 15 pound that didn’t arrive then they won’t answer there phone.

Service and delivery was spot on but i have never seen a pizza and garlic bread so badly made and cooked very little topping then covered in cheese and very greasy and to be fair is the worst pizza i have ever tasted and will not use this shop again and will recommend everyone to stay away and go to iceland and buy a £1 pizza

Without a doubt the worst service I've ever had.... over an hour late, freezing cold food. When I spoke to the manager he gave me a load of loads then hung up on me!! Called him back and he blamed me. Then sent me sarcastic messages saying "enjoy your cold food" and "enjoy it mateyyyy!!!!!!"..... food looked good but stone cold. Avoid!!!!!!!!

Late by 50 minutes then Delivery driver didn’t have enough change... so was short changed, pizzas are nice but not worth waiting 50 minutes ...

Received 2 garlic pizza breads and one unknown pizza. No chips with the wrap deal. Neither Mexican nor Texan as ordered. Late, extremely rude on the phone.

well I wish I never ordered from here I ordered a chicken curry pizza and I got a chicken pizza I ordered a chicken kebab and got shredded chicken the cheesy chips were hard uneatable to top it off the drive said “do you want change” no not at all it only come £32 and I gave you £40 of course I want my change. emmm sorry I only have £3 change unfortunately I thought that was the worst. please don’t order from here disgusting food and and bad customer service

tomato purée on pizzas was awful, it made them basically inedible, also pizza toppings looked rotten (vegetarian pizza, with peppers, mushrooms, red onions etc on it) - every pizza/garlic bread we ordered seemed to have at least 3/4 inches of stale crust, meaning a 14 inch pizza might as well be a 10

Pizza was nice and fresh, good thickness and flavour. On time delivery and overall great service.

El Bake Express en Chillingham Road en Heaton no era el mejor lugar para comer algo. Pensé que sería mejor de lo que era. Supongo que es lo que es, barato y alegre, y llena un vacío, pero no esperes demasiado.

Absolutley shocking! Took 45minutes to make a garlic bread and some chips to then have the delivery driver ring and say he cant find my address or any address near the area. His sat nav apparently is not working ! I had to Google map where my driver was an stay on the phone for 15minutea giving him directions on where to go ! This took 1 hour by the time he messed around failing to find the address then me eventually having to give step by step directions. Absolute disgrace if you ask me !

customer service is horrendous. my food is late, and I can’t say how the quality was as it hasn’t turned up. I understand snow has an impact on delivery time on but when I rang the restaurant almost 40 minutes after delivery time, the guy was just ‘ you’ll get a refund’. Not apologetic in the slightest.

Oh where do I start. My order came which contained a pizza deal with chips and can of pop. Which the top layer of the pizza was cremated and the base was not even cooked. And the chips. oh my the chips. The chips where little rectangular bricks. I dont know how they managed that. And the garlic. Was it even garlic? Who knows it tasted like the sour creme sauce for pringles. And the packaging. The food was already hanging out the side of the box when it came to the door. But that's not all ladies and gentlemen. I ordered a chicken wrap. The chicken slices where sunbathing in grease. The only enjoyment I had was the can of Cole

ordered a meal deal which was 2 pizzas and we also got a garlic bread aswell with 2 garlic sauces. The garlic sauce tasted like sour cream, the pizzas were rock solid and the garlic bread was one big burnt mess with no cheese or any life to it. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Got a chicken and lamb wrap didn't realise it came with salad nearly died when I saw a piece of lettuce hanging out the paper but when I opened it it was actually canny nice tbh full of wholesome flavours and nice tasting fresh feeling salad. I could feel the crunch in the red onion which is good for 1:17 in the morning. The BBQ chicken pizza was nearly spot on, could have drizzled some of the bbqyewy goodness on top but that's just mine and wor lads personal choice. One problem tho the delivery driver was two minutes late and sent me 4 texts saying: answer man, food, pizza and hello. Which we found quite funny tbh he seemed like a sound lad just a bit lost. Poor thing. So we'll let him off. Will order again, probably. Ooo and the garlic sauce is more like sour cream which was nice but not if you don't like sour cream. Thanks x

I'm vegetarian so can't speak for kebabs etc but whenever I've been here I've enjoyed the food. I usually go for a falafel wrap, some salad and humus. Always prepared on the spot and very satisfying.

food was lovely but I had the most ignorant delivery driver possible he was on the phone whilst at my door speaking in a different language. the only words he spoke to me was when he told me how much to food was

I went in and ordered mixed grill. The guy with beard took my order and he was continuously talking to me in insulting manner. Then he gave me his rotten meat skewers, honestly the meat was so old it was like completely black and burnt and then when I came home I got stomach pains and ended in A and E, RVI. I wasted 11.90 on two small skewers of rotten meat, plz avoid , if you get food poison then don’t say I didn’t knew about it. These guys are paying people to put reviews on social media thx and hopefully you will avoid the food .

It said to specify pizza or garlic bread- I requested pizza but a garlic bread came, still free but not the point. All good though
