Excellent. Fresh, tasty, friendly staff and something for everyone (fussy toddler included!) - sustainable packaging a plus!

We picked up a bagel for lunch and a mocha each last weekend while in Ely for a few days. They offer GF Bagel options, so thumbs up for that and the mocha was very good too.

This outlet is great addition to Ely market. The cappuccinos were served by very cheerful staff at a reasonable price. Great views from the top deck also. Ee really enjoyed this experience.

The pulled pork bagel was the best thing I’ve ever eaten! Not only that but it was gluten free as well. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Ely

Fantastic selection of bagels and beautiful coffee. Extremely surprised that almost all the bagel options could be made gluten free, and the server (possibly owner?) was very knowledgeable and helpful. We'll be back whenever we're in Ely. Undercover outdoor seating available.

...is what I said when I received my "Ely cheesesteak" bagel! Generously filled and delicious, high-quality ingredients - the salt beef was particularly good. Coffee was fantastic too - would definitely recommend a visit.

Wow! We stopped here to grab some lunch following a long walk into Ely and exploring the cathedral. My partner and I both had a bagel, which was incredible, as well as coffee which was also great. We didn't bring our dogs lunch and when we were served by Sara and Deahna they gave us great suggestions for a little something to see him through.+some bonus treats!! Service was incredibly friendly and were waiting no time for our food. Two very happy customers and a dribbling dog. If we' ever visit Ely again, we'll definitely be popping back!!

We bought three breakfast bagels at this establishment today. None of us enjoyed them. Several hours later I'm still suffering with acute indigestion. No idea what other reviewers on here are used to, but our experience clearly differs from yours. Would not dream of visiting again.

Little friendly place just off the market Square. Great for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Bagels full of flavours and freshly prepared. Great coffee too? All served with a lovely attitude.

Stopped here with my Mother for a tea and a coffee (Americano). Lots of atmosphere and outdoors. Fantastic position. Reasonably priced and good service.

Can't wait the return to Ely to sample another bagel today's choice was the captain, delicious battered fish piece with salad and tarter sauce. A really great spot to stop and enjoy great food and great coffee. See you again silver oak next time we're passing.

Had to have been the best bagels we have ever had. Stopped on the way to Kings Lynn on a wet summer day. There was a handy gazebo outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing coffee as well. Recommend stopping here.

Silver Oak already hold the turf of Ely Market Square thanks to their coffee rig and local roasting expertise (I have a kilo of their beans I put to use in my own house), but when the Buttermarket outpost opened up they were right to snag it. Decent footfall! So. You already know the coffee is excellent, we'll gloss over that and focus on the USP of this place, which are its sandwiches in bagel form. I notice some of the grumpier comments: 1) "this is bread shaped like a bagel" - if you're not visiting Brick Lane in London you're unlikely to have a true chew bagel experience, and that's not a major knock, it's a cultural fact. 2) "everything is served in disposable containers" - the cups are vegware (compostable) and containers recyclable. So nothing is black bin waste. Lots of choice on the menu, from the breakfast bagel (bacon/egg/cheese/sausage, classic), to some real interesting cuts. One minor knock is it seems at any given time a few of the bagels are off, so there's part of me that would suggest trimming down the list to a solid half dozen 'always on' and then call the rest 'specials' that rotate? Service is impeccable, I have had the best service from anywhere in Ely out of this gaff, it's attentive, polite, well managed, friendly and efficient. I hope the strength of this recommendation is that it's nigh on 3 years since I last left a review ;)

Unfortunately, this is one of the many places that thinks anything shaped like a bagel is actually a bagel. If you've ever had a real bagel, you know this isn't true

Popped in to pick up three bagels. Couple of Big Easys and a Deli (pastrami filling) - had a latte whilst waiting - prepped in no time and back home to enjoy! Noticed a chap on an electric scooter so guess they deliver - how...

Their coffees are always nice: my favourite is the flat white, which is quite small but very tasty. The hot chocolate is fantastic too. I usually go to the Coffee Bus in the market square (their sister place), but the bagel bar serves the same...

Maybe I visited on an 'off' day, but the latte and cappuccino I ordered were both bitter. There were no syrups on offer either (their absence wasn't the cause of a perceived bitterness, I hasten to add), which would be another reason why I wouldn't...

The Bagel Bar is my favourite spot to lunch in Ely. Not only is the food freshly cooked and beyond delicious, the staff are all lovely and provide personal service making the whole experience one to be repeated!!! Great coffee too!

One of my favourite places to get my lunch - they offer a great selection of bagels, especially vegetarian and vegan options. Staff are very friendly, and the coffee is the same delicious coffee you know and love from the market.

If you haven’t already, you must try these bagels. The Sticky Pig is the best I’ve tried to date & still working my way through the menu. The service is quick, friendly and food arrives piping hot. Highly recommend
