The backlot in Three Rivers

We got there early so had a coffee and cake from inside the foyer. My latte was made from a sachet of powder so had lumps in but the very overpriced cake tasted like it was made a week ago. I opted for the hedwig cake at £9.95 and it was awful. Solid as a brick, solid sponge, a small taste of custard inside and lots of buttercream. No way was that cake fresh. My daughter had a death eater cake. Chocolate with a tiny cherry filling at £8.95. Hers was also very dry but not as bad. If you are buying these, ask if they are freshly made. Otherwise its a lot of money to waste.

This was a great place to take a break halfway through the Warner Bros Studio Tour. This is the only place at the studio you can get Butterbeer, and they have a washing station so you can clean out your butterbeer glasses to take back home. Great!

Firstly, the menu is not very informative. There are limited food options; hot dogs, burgers, chicken portions and loaded fries. There are vegetarian options and kids variations. The menu doesn't tell you that the hot dogs and burgers come with fries so you could easily think the £13 was just for the hot dog. Second the wait time is ridiculously long. We queued for 20 minutes to place our order and then stood for another 25 to collect. Even then, there was no guarantee that a table would be available for us to sit at. The ordering, kitchen, collection and seating needs massive upscaling to cope with the number of visitors. The most heavily promoted items were the butterbeer and the butterbeer ice cream. For the drink, you have no option but to purchase it in the souvenir mug, and this clearly jacks the price up. The drink itself is sweet and fizzy. Not too everyone's taste, but I liked it. Glad we only bought one to share between the four of us though. The ice cream just seemed to be vanilla with a bit of butterscotch flavour. This could be bought in a cone or in a souvenir dish. The latter was £1 more so made sense to choose this option. Again, glad we got one between four. Café is not inexpensive. The children's meals, one adults loaded fries, bottle of water, three bottles coke, butterbeer and butterbeer ice cream came to nearly £60. The quality of the food, plus the long wait time, absolutely does not justify that price tag. Unfortunately, this café is the only option at the halfway point of the Harry Potter Warner Bros studio tour. We arrived around 3 hours after starting the tour so were ready for something to eat and drink. If possible, I would try to wait till after I left the tour to get food, if you could hold out another couple of hours. Maybe get a butterbeer for the novelty (the separate queue of just getting this was much shorter).

Ordering didnt take long,but the wait for collection was ridiculous. By the time we got our very expensive food it was stone cold. The fries must have been reheated as they were like cardboard. My bread roll was so stale I couldn't bite into it,and the vegan hotdog was tasteless, pale and overcooked. There were no vegetarian options,which I would have preferred as I would at least have got some coleslaw! We were starving and had looked forward to treating ourselves. Huge disappointment.

Despite the extended wait times attributed to the studio tour's popularity, you would hop that the high prices and sluggish service would be offset by the quality of the food. Unfortunately, our experience with two burgers, one chicken and one beef, was disappointing as they were excessively dry and lacked any flavour. I would suggest considering bringing your own packed lunch instead.

Overpriced very average food. Plenty of seating. Good location in the middle of the tour by which time you're ready for a sit down and a cold butterbeer.

We only stopped here for a drink which took ages to get! Plenty of staff at the back….but only one at the til and taking orders! The place was rather disappointing …it was drab and very uninviting, But if you want a break half way round…this was the only choice! You can have a cup of butter beer here if you like it.

Good dirty fries and sausage roll. Good selection of sandwiches and drinks. Quick service with lots of tills. Clean and tidy.

Wir haben uns hier während der Studiotour gestärkt und die Burger sind wirklich sehr lecker. Die Wartezeiten zur Mittagszeit waren entsprechend lang. Das Butterbeer ist auf jeden Fall einen Versuch wert.

Not sure when I've had burgers this poor, more specifically the patties. Thin and dry as cardboard, tough, tasteless, very over-cooked. Even the children commented on how bad they were, and I've never before heard them critique a burger meal (usually anything goes).The cafe itself is pretty dull and doesn't have the same atnosphere as the other restaurants. Long queues.

If you like second rate burgers this is your place to eat. Always appears to have crowds waitng for service. Not enough seating. We sat outside which was very cold and windy, no real shelter. Had Baguettes from from Van outside, not fresh made so were cold and soggy from fridge. No taste and not good value for money

This was our second visit to the Warner Bros Studios today. I would like to say a huge thank you to Amy who went above and beyond to ensure my son’s dietary needs were catered for. Despite a bit of a wait for food (unsurprising at lunchtime), it was refreshing to be met by a smiling face who was willing to go the extra mile. Unfortunately there wasn’t anywhere to leave feedback for the staff but I hope this message is passed onto her. Our food was good quality and worth the wait.

£6 for watery coffee and an ok mince pie. Slow service. Not great. But the tables were clean and there was ample seating.

Several places to choose from at Warner Studios but went here as wanted to taste the Butterbeer. I wasn’t let down. Fantastic drink in souvenir tankard & Butterbeer ice cream. Yummy. Also had kids vegan burger & normal hot dog. Good quality food. Vegan, vegetarian & gluten free catered for. Fantastic

We bought a couple of snacks from here and some butterbeer ice cream. Wasn't sure what to expect but the food was really nice and good value for money. The only downside was the long queue but we were served within about 15 minutes.

Limited menu choices so we didn't eat. We did grab a butterbeer after queuing for a significant amount of time. Little to no ambience here, like a hospital canteen with a butterbeer stall. Butterbeer is ok and you get a souvenir plastic tankard to drag around with you in sticky hands for the rest of the tour....

Polite staff, clean cafe and fresh food, i think it's all assembled to order which is great, just really slow service. It's only burgers/hot dogs,

The Backlot cafe lets down the whole experience. A dispiriting place with poor food on offer and very expensive. They could really make more of the food and restaurants at Warner Bros studios. How about creating a Hogsmeade pub like 'The three Broomsticks' or 'The Hogshead'?

Very clean and tidy, lots of seating, large covered area for picnics, refreshments prices very reasonable.

Had to queue for more than 1 hr for very limited and basic burger style options......children not Happy!..... easy access to alternative outlets required

Food is decent, albeit pretty expensive (£9.50 for a burger) but the queue time (1 hr + for us) is a real disappointment.

A long queue but worth the wait food was good quality, lovely chips and a great rest stop half way around the tour. The Butterbeer isn't like beer so don't expect ot to be, it's a very sweet drink and the froth tastes like ice cream but the kids loved it.

I expected the butterbeer to be fizzy and taste like cream soda or a butterscotch soda. The drink was flat, not served in an actual tankard, and tasted like a non-alcoholic mead.

Great food and good quality had burgers - staff a bit lacking on order was unable to understand no salad/sauce. Butter beer yummy although a mixed opinion in our group like marmite either love it or hate it!

The backlot is the perfect break you need when visiting the studio tour. The food was fine, we had burgers and fries. The crown jewel of the backlot, though, is the Butterbeer. My favorite was the Butterbeer ice cream!

Prices are reasonable. Not much more than your high street cafe. Cakes etc good and fresh. More than happy to recommend this place.

Ate here with my family during our family holiday back in Feb. Ordered Fish & Chips, Mac & Cheese, hot dog, tomato soup. Typical café food. Food was nice and hot - so not kept warm under heat lamps. Kids enjoyed the Mac & Cheese & tomato soup. I had the Fish & Chips and it was decent. I definitely had better when I was out in London but price was reasonable to no complaints. But kids and wife really liked the Butter Beer and were thrilled to try something from the movies.

Doesn't matter how old you are, just to experience the actual butter beer and ice cream is amazing! What is even better, you are able to wash out the container and take it home with you as a souvenir. Great indoor and outdoor space. Worth it to take the time and relax.

Surprised by the vegan options, I went for the CHILDRENS vegan chicken wrap and it was enough for me! Great to see more options, just need a vegan alternative of butter beer ☺️

Queued for an hour. Staff nice, food looked very greasy and unappetising. Very overcrowded and poorly organised. Take your own sandwiches.

The food was expensive and not that great - recommend taking your own. The butterbeer is an experience (bit like marmite)

We liked this. Good value, clean, reasonably quick service and freshly cooked food. The kids both are all their burger and chips..... a proper film set experience!

The Backlot is OK usual Butter Beer and Hot Dogs, best thing about it you can sit down an relax for a few minutes after all the walking.

Had my first butterbeer! This place is 1 of only 4 places in the world that sells it! I loved it, they should bottle it! Staff are great, very friendly and efficient and helpful. It’s clean with plenty of seats.

Uninspiring environment, unimaginative food and high prices. Very noisy with seating reminiscent of school dining hall.

I had the veggie dog, boyfriend had the chilli dog. Absolutely delicious, loved that a good veggie option was available too! Lots of sandwiches and other options too and there's kids meals. Prices are average theme park type prices which isnt surprising

When we vitiated several years ago there was just a trailer selling Butterbeer. Now it's a cafe with sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Check out the Butterbeer ice cream! It's now under cover too with a seating area, much improved.

Part of the Warner studio tour, so a must see for anyone visiting. See the night bus and the Dursley’s house! Plus Hogwarts bridge and the chess pieces. Brilliant.

Well..the service was so painfully slow we waited a good 30 mins standing in the queue. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but even if you want a drink or cold sandwich you had to wait in the massive queue!!! The actual cafe was a little disappointing too, it looked more like a canteen. I just feel like the one section they had wasn't enough. If you're going to ram thousands of people in at a time then you need to be able to accommodate for this.Staff did not look happy either.

Butterbeer is amazing, I think everyone needs to try it at least once. I've never eaten the food here but it looks good.

Ok food but pricing and organisation of service and tables let’s it down. Unclear u need to pick up ice cream at the butter beer stand rather than food queue, so meaning you need to queue twice whilst hot food purchased cools down 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ahhhhh! 30 min standing in a queue for ok food. But only because the process is so terrible. All the staff end up staring into space as the thought of making eye contact during the painful wait is too uncomfortable. They also seem to be terrified of anyone having an allergy... one big sign followed by being asked three times. NO! We’re all good thanks for nuts/fish/dairy. Fear of where there’s a claim there’s a blame??!

The Backlot Cafe is in the middle of the Warner Bros Studio Tour, Harry Potter World. It is very busy even on a relatively quiet February visit. The staff here look like they have lost the will to live & service is slow & most definitely without a smile. Basic burger, hot dog or chicken & chips plus the odd salad is what is on offer & they are rather pricey, over double McDonalds / KFC prices. My burger was soggy & not very appetising to say the least. Butter beer is expensive, very sweet & very sickly you will end up pouring most of it away but yes you’ll have got a souvineer cup.

The backlot cafe is situated in the middle of the Harry Potter studio tours. The food is disgusting and cold. Next time I visit the tours I deffinatly will not be visiting this cafe for food.

The food here is always good and there is great variety on the menu. It's run by a very skilled group of people that get the food out quickly (which is ideal as its so busy!)

Wouldnt eat here again, its expensive and nothing special, take your own food and drink, there was nothing wrong with the food but its shall we say 'much ado about nothing'

Great food, the queues moved fairly quickly and they catered for allergies (actively asked if I was allergic to anything). Only slight downside perhaps was the lack of seating but if you wrap up warm you can sit outside!

This place is at the halfway point of the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Its OK and unremarkable. The food/snacks are average. It was exactly what I would have expected to find in a theme park tour.

For a fast food place the food was very good, very hot, plentiful and not too badly priced. It was very busy but they got through the queue very quickly! Really enjoyed the chickenburger and chips we had, and love the butterbeer. Staff were very nice too, kept the tables cleared and cleaned and the floors swept. Good little place to eat.

The back lot is in the right place in the tour to recharge the batteries. Stop off and have some butter beer. We had the chickpea burger and the chicken burger. Both very good.

Service was good and fast, but it is regular fast food. The cafe is a nice spot to take a break and a good view of the exterior sets.

Yes, it is expensive but you would expect that before you go. The queue was quick and staff were friendly. I personally loved the butterbeer and happy with my souvenir goblet.

A lovely place to eat but we found the food average. The salads had a large amount of greenery which was not necessary. The hot-dog was quite tasty but for an older person a bit too much. The butter beer we could not drink as it was overloaded with sugar. I passed it back to the servers who were somewhat taken aback. Most of the serving staff were pleasant and helpful

I only went there to try the "Butterbeer", but would have considered getting in the queue for food, too. It wasn't too long and the products looked and smelled great. The prices appeared within the expected range as well.

The backlot cafe is halfway through the tour just before you go outside to the Knight bus privet drive hogwarts bridge is etc. All of these can be viewed from the backlot cafe windows. There are plenty of available tables. You can bring your own food and eat it here or buy food from the cafe. I had hotdog chips a drink and butterbeer ice cream and it cost £18. I had to wait in a queue for 10 minutes as it was lunchtime, but served quickly once at front of queue. This is the only place where butterbeer ice cream and butterbeer is available . The cafe is clean and comfortable and good for all ages.

Part of the experience not to be missed, lots to see and many surprises. The area is immense so leave plenty of time

Just had to try it. Delicious! Food - we had sandwiches - tasty and fresh. Long queues....but only to be expected. A good opportunity for a short break whilst going through the tour.

The backlot cafe is always busy - as you would expect on the half-way point on the tour. However, the separate food and butterbeer queues work well, and there seems to be plenty of tables. The staff (as throughout the whole tour) are friendly and chatty. Prices are high, but you do get nice freshly prepared food and there are plenty of options for vegetarian and those with allergies. We cheated slightly and had childrens meals. They are 2/3rds price of the adults but very generous portions and perfect for lunch. Butterbeer is also pricey and (in my humble opinion) not worth it. However, Butterbeer ice cream is amazing! This is one of only a couple of places where you can buy it and is totally worth it, even on a cold winters day!!

Halfway through the tour....welcome break....lovely atmosphere....lots of tables....hot dogs, chilli dogs, tasty chips, sandwiches, jelly and more.....pricey but great quality....

After 2.5/3 hours the 5 grandchildren (aged 4 to 14 years) were ready for re-fuelling. The hot dogs were rapidly devoured, butter beer deemed a little too sweet.

Arrived there just after 12noon, the place is very busy, not easy to find a table. The food is average, is reasonably priced consider the location. The butterbeer is very expensive for what it is, I suppose the novelty of the drink makes it very attractive.

This is pretty much your typical snack/lunch stand, but if you haven't tried butter beer yet, it's worth the line.

The food was quite cold borderline warm. This would be something that needs to be improved upon. That's all I can say really and also the staff not all but some could do with customer service training.

The food was certainly average and nothing worth writing about or recommending, but I must say that the provider certainly has service down. We had several changes to items (no lettuce, at cheese, etc) and they accommodated all of them the first time. Also worth trying "butterbeer".

We decided to have a quick stop in the backlot cafe to refuel before going on to the rest of the tour. We only got sandwiches but they were good sandwiches! The service was really quick which was great with so many people going through. The hot food did smell amazing but we only wanted something small.

There were enough tables for us to sit down even though it was busy. Some people had brought their own food and no-one seemed to mind. Just outside the backlot is the night bus & privet drive and other things to see.

Ordered backlot burger and chicken burger. Both were nice. Prices were reasonable for a theme park. Gingerbeer was good!

Amazing! Loved the experience of actually drinking it. We didn’t have food. Only drinks. It was quick and easy to order and collect and the queues moved quickly and orderly.

Great idea having a cafe half way through the tour. It wasnt overly busy but still had to queue for a little while just to get a butterbeer, whilst the food queue was empty. Otherwise, very good

This just about sums it up! A bit of a Marmite moment but as you can see we quite enjoyed it. The Xmas decor was worth seeing too as I had not seen it before.

Good service, Fast food was very tasty was expensive but feel this is what you pay at a day out, Butter Beer was a experience and of course need to be done. Plenty of sitting arears only down side had to clean the table, no one clearing . As a mum it was not a problem.

This is the restaurant about half way through the exhibition, it is like a canteen with long tables and bench seating, so you have to share with other people. You can get hot food, most popular being burgers and fries, but they have salads and sandwiches and snacks and drinks. There is a butter bear station which you can buy in a souvenir mug, one of those things which once had not to be repeated

Massive queues and not enough seating for expensive food. Shame as the rest of the experience is amazing. Will be trying the new foyer restaurant next time.

I had the chicken burger and my partner had the beef burger which were really really tasty and good value for money considering where it is. Also had butterbeer which i liked but my partner didn't so much

Food good quality quick service friendly staff. Food a bit pricey but that’s expected for where you are.

We had lunch here and needed a bit of a break before seeing the rest of the site. The sandwiches was expensive and not very fresh. The butterbeer was excellent though.

The cost is eye watering. We ended up having a ham sandwich, a cheese sandwich and a buttbeer. The food was passable but too expensive.

The food is a over priced, its cheaper than the cafe at the beginning of the tour. I do love collecting the butterbeer cups. I was really surprised and happy to find a sensory room which was great for my husband and baby to relax in while I got my drink as there was too much noise for my little one. I don't think it would be a good place to try to feed a baby, were as the cafe at the beginning of the tour is ideal. Baby room was available which offers a place to change nappy and breastfeed.

Endroit sympathique pour déguster la célèbre bière mais tout cela reste très cher et la butterbeer n'est pas vraiment bonne.

At what is in effect a FastFood outlet, you still expect quick service, hot and tasty food....oh dear.

Was glad I brought our own food. The options for sale were not the healthiest and were steeply priced. Butterbeer had to be sampled; again overpriced. Nice spacious arrangement of tables and plenty of room for everyone.

The cafe in the middle of Harry Potter Studios fits the bill just fine. Conveyor belt of service; you feel shuttled through but there are a million people in line, so makes sense. Got a sandwich from the cooler and chips (crisps), as well a butterbeer. You have to get the butterbeer! The seating area isn't anything special; truly feels like a cafeteria, but it serves the purpose of seating the masses.

Stopped for a butterbeer here only. Good idea that we keep the tankards to take home. Liked the realistic fake snow as we sat outside to sip our drinks.

Great place to stop half way into the tour. Good range of food and drink. Starbucks coffee, nice Bacon and Sausage baps, good range of sandwiches and cakes. Butter Beer, if you want to try it. A but pricey, but, what the heck. Very bright with views of the Night Bus and Privet Drive.
