The Aviator in Leeds

This pub has not long ago been taken over from the landlord and lady from the swan in trading.We were meeting family and friends from Newcastle and were very impressed to say the least.Seven adults and one child descended tea time Friday and it was quite busy but we were served promptly.I loved the relaxed atmosphere and spacious surroundings very clean and tables cleared quickly.Our meals were presented nicely and tasted very nice and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit.

Good place for afternoon drink, better than s*#t house clothiers. and one of the staff with a stupid earring and dodgy beard

called in last week for a beer with a mate, not a nice place, staff stood chatting, tables in need of cleaning , i cant believe how its still open when surrounded by far better places.

I attended the public house with my family for some food but having to wait til the bar staff finished there chat between them selves and afterward been served by a miserable gentleman who looked like he belonged in a mortuary rather than a pub and taking my seat to a sticky table which was the few without glasses on them I decided to forget eating there and finished my drink and go elsewhere,I am not normal to complaining but the welcome I received of the small gentleman really but me off the place and sticky tables with empty beer glass on the other tables really made me feel I needed to say something for future customers.

I haven't been in here for a while until last week. wow. played pool here with mrs, good prices on drinks, sound system was excellent. had a pizza each, not bad at all, homemade and very reasonable.

Mi familia y un amigo allí noviembre pasado (2013) para una cena de Navidad. Bien, ¿qué puedo decir?! La comida estaba bien, pero allí no he pedido la cena de Navidad. Para empezar, fue rollo de Turquía (no es aceptable para una cena de Navidad), todo estaba recocido y parecía haber sido calentados y no recién preparado. Sin duda no lo recomendaría este lugar para Navidad. Sin embargo, he comido aquí con un amigo y aunque no estaba espectacular si estaba bien. Como han dicho otras personas las mesas estaban asquerosas y la impresión general era que podía hacer con una revisión exhaustiva limpio.

No puedo pensar en un título adecuado para esta inmersión que resumir en una sola vez.

Caminamos desde La tiendas (Weatherpoons) ya estaba lleno y no pudimos encontrar una mesa. Entramos aquí, sólo para encontrar otra mesa ocupada (que debería haber planteado sospecha's ). Pedimos una lasaña y un pollo Burger. Tarjeta de crédito advirtió máquina estaba tocando, tomó pagos pero no recibo (me dieron uno de recibo)

El día que estuve en este enorme pub sólo tenía una media docena de personas en el almuerzo. Hice una elección del menú que no estaba disponible y luego hizo otra opción, que era una envoltura de pollo. Era seco y le faltaba una inspiración. Todo el lugar estaba oscuro y aburrido. No comer aquí.

Prices are good, and food is ok. Alright for a quick bite. The onion rings were lovely. Ok for a sunday afternoon with friends

OKAY....so to start with the bar maids were very slow....only one person in front of me, two people i waited 10 mins to be served..that isnt why i gave it a one....OKAY....so i ordered a jacket potato and my husband ordered a regular breakfast.....his was okay...BUT mine was stone cold and the jacket had obv been literally threatened with the cheese that it was so scared it jumped off!!! I ordered two lattes that tasted more like washing up water and it took them 25 mins to bring them over...even when i reminded them!! I have been in before and liked it...but this time...nah...go to weatherspoons up the road..maybe a little more exp but the staff are nicer and service is better....

A big pub on the main street that caters for all ages. We went on a sunday evening after the football so it was a bit quiet than it probably would be on a friday or saturday. Only £7.95 for 2 cocktails and plenty of other deals on drinks such as shots and beers. Though we didnt eat, the food coming from the kitchen looked good and the portions were generous. Maybe not the place for a quiet romantic dinner for two but well worth a visit.

Having found that the Wetherspoon's up the road was lacking in atmosphere we adjourned to the Aviator's.The contrast to the Clothier's was dramatic, here it was absolutely packed with the NYE celebrations in full swing. Despite the number of customers at the bar I got served fairly quickly and was surprised that the prices charged were very reasonable.There were a lot of young customers but the atmosphere was very relaxed and sociable.

The Aviator is a fairly modern pub with a good selection of drinks to choose from. I haven't eaten here so cannot comment on the food but worth a visit if you are in the area

This place has been open a few years now, and although recently had a new paint job, I think it needs a bit of an overhaul. Originally it had a classy feel, but now it is as common place as any other eating pub. Its nice enough, and the food is very good. But there are a few more competitors for the place on the high street nowadays. Its not too bad as a going out pub for those who aren't into clubbing any more, and for those who aren't young enough to accept the hassle going into Leeds.

Having never been here before, and looking for somewhere for a family meal, called in for a drink and to have a good look round. I guess it is very much in keeping with all the other eateries, I first thought I had wandered into a Wetherspoons, but no, however they all look very similar to me, wasn't too impressed with the tables and seating in the main pub area, but there are some other styles of seating if you prefer and a mezzanine floor away from the main area.As I was here I decided to scrutinise the menu, and I must say that it was quite appealing with a good choice and selection at very reasonable prices, will definitely have to try it sometime in the near future. The building used to be our local Picture House (cinema to the younger reader) and then the local Bingo Hall before becoming a pub, the building façade has remained mainly unaltered during all its different uses. Will definitely come back and try the food.
